If you're talking about a photo, tap on the thumbnail in the Messages App, then at the bottom of the screen, you should see an icon that looks like a box with an arrow pointing out of it. Tap that, and you will have the option to save it.

You can select any number of keyframes in a timeline and drag those keyframes forward or back in the timeline without altering any other layers. You can also select a range of frames by selecting one keyframe and then shift clicking on a second keyframe in the same layer. With these frames selected you then drag this selection left or right in that layer to move it forward or back in time. You can have more than one selection moving in more than one layer.
Alternately, you can add or delete frames from any layer. You can select more than one frame in a layer and then delete those selected frames. All of these methods are "undo-able", but you still may want to make a copy of your file before you begin a massive edit. Save after every edit of the timeline so that you don't overtax your memory.

How do I find and save the background music file of my Flash site?

I see that the background music in my Flash site is located in a symbol called muz. When I click the properties of this symbol, the sound file's location is listed as .\flash\sound\muz.wav I couldn't find that sound sub-folder in the flash folder nor could I find the file. I tried doing a search to look for the muz.wav file in my computer but it could not be found. Does anyone know how I can find and save this file? Can the symbol somehow be exported and the sound file be extracted that way?

I copied and pasted the symbol into an empty .fla file. This new .fla file is just 1 frame. Can you tell me what you mean by "spreading" it along the timeline? When I tried exporting it to a .wav file (as just 1 frame in timeline), I only hear a fraction of a fraction of the first note of the music in the generated .wav file. The music is heard fine in its entirety when previewing the .fla file (F12).
By the way, in the symbol's properties, there is an option to "Export for ActionScript" and an option to "Export for runtime sharing". Do you think any of these would work?

I restored the phone so had no apps on it at all and there was still this certain amount of space used up by documents ! I've already had it in to the apple store and they didn't seem to have a clue either ! Ugh ! There is no such list of what is downloaded to each phone except in the backup. So if you have a recent backup of each phone you should be able to find an app that reads the backup files and would tell you what list is saved of the content on each phone.

I have a file which has a Hold.
However, It could be one of a number of Holds as defined by the Holds list. How do I (ideally in PowerShell) find out which hold is being used to hold the file and how can I remove that Hold from the file so I can change it and re-apply the hold ?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to remove Hold from the file.
If an item has been added to more than one hold, you can view the list of holds that pertain to that by using the Compliance Details command.
Open the list or library that contains the item for which you want to view the hold information.
Point to the item that you want, click the arrow that appears, and then click Compliance Details.
On the Compliance Details dialog, click Add/Remove from hold.
On the Hold Status page, click the arrow under the Remove from hold option to view a list of holds the item is associated with.
You can use the Compliance Details command to remove an individual item from a hold.
Open the list or library that contains the item that you want to remove from a hold.
Point to the item that you want, click the arrow that appears, and then click Compliance Details.
In the Hold Status section, click Add/Remove from a hold.
On the Item Hold Status page, select the Remove from hold option and then select the hold from which you want to release the item.
Click Save.

How do I find and free the hidden files on external drive?

I cannot see , or free, space on my external drive.
It is a Seagate Freeagent 500 GB disk. I am using 100GB for photos and music. Only 38 MB are reported free. How can I reclaim the rest of the space?
I had used in the past as Time machine backup. To create space I moved to trash the file Backups.backupd (as I now have another disk for Time Machine). I can't see this file in the Trash, and I can't see the space in Finder. How do I find / free the space?
The disk format is MAC OS Extended journaled. Disk utility reports no errors. I have run verify and fix, and also erase free space, with no result.

Erase free space only wipes clean the 38 MBs that are already free. Click here to see hidden files.
However, I'd just make a copy of the 100 GBs in use, and then complely wipe the disk.
Don't try to delete the Backups.backupd folder by Finder. It's not a good idea to mix Finder and TM.

Currently I'm having problems with a old Visual Cafe class.
It is definately using deprecated awt funcions.
My question is..
1) Without the source code how do I find out what deprecated functions the CLASS file is using.
2) Has any deprecated class been truly scrapped ? If so, I cannot find
it in the JDK API documentation or the java.sun.com search engine..

Here is what I did, to answer your question. I unzipped the symantec jar and used a decompiler (JAD works fine, or cavaj) to create an entire src tree (you can do this with 1 command). Then, compile using your target version of Java. There are well over 100 warnings (with -deprecation on) ranging from Cafe's use of awt.Component methods (mostly), Thread.suspend in their Timer class, to the use of java.util.Date in their Calendar component.

How do i find out the speed of file transfers

Hi all, first i have to admit i dont actually have a Time Capsule, i have a Western Digital MyBookLive with which i backup my MacBookPro using Time Machine.
I have also upgraded my Router to one with Gigabit LAN, my MacBookPro is gigabit and so is my WD MyBookLive gigabit !!!.
I already realise that file tranfers can in NO WAY can get anywhere near gigabit speeds, but, neverthless how do i find out how fast my gear does transfer files ?.
I am currently backing up using TimeMachine using a wire, i would like to see the actual difference between Wired and Wireless transfers.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated !. thanks for looking.

I have the Network Tab selected: i have Data recieved at anywhere between 100 and sometimes as high as 400
whereas data sent is always under 10 !
peak is about 8 so does Data sent refer to to My Time Machine Backup GOING TO my Network Hard Drive ?
if so where is the Data recieved stuff, going to or coming from ?. it is all a bit confusing for me, i think i better go back to bed and lay down LOL.

You will need to select the attachment and open in another app. If you do not have any apps that support PDF, Adobe reader for iOS is free.
For MS word files, you will need an app that supports those, like Documents to Go.
There is not generic file storage area in iOS, so you need to "open in" an app that supports that file type so that app can then add the file to its sandboxed local storage area.
If you need to markup the PDF, some good apps are GoodReader, iAnnotate, PDF Expert, GoodNotes - there are numerous others as well in the App Store.
