  • HT3702 Inspite of having a valid credit card my card is being declined, please advise

I have valid and working credit card but for many days my Itunes account refuses to accept it. Please advise

Sometimes there are multiple blocks & locks. Other times the user does this themselves by rapid clicking on the wrong area too many times, etc...
    Try iTS again.

These are user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
You are sure that your card details were taken from your iTunes account ?
If your account has been compromised then remove your card from your account, change your password, and contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
    Changing payment info : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918
If it's not on your account then contact your card issuer and get the card cancelled and replaced

    Hello Sephilevi,
It sounds like you are unable to update any of your apps and dont have a credit card. You should be able to use this article to select your payment method as None in your iTunes account settings:

Valid methods of payment vary from country to country.  Which country?

Somehow the country associated with my account was changed to China.  I did not make this change.  My credit card information needs to be updated but the system will not let me update either my credit card information or the country back to the United States.  My updated credit card information is not accepted because the country is China.  It will not allow me to change the country until the credit card information is changed. Help!!!

  • Apple just disabled my Apple ID that has a valid credit card and $13.44 store credit. How can they do that?

Up to yesterday I was using my Apple ID on itunes and the app store. I have a valid credit card on file and $13.44USD store credit. Prior to 28th September 2012 I had $40.42USD store credit on my account. On the 28th September 2012, I subscribed to itunes match successfully. On the 30th September 2012 I purchased the video ' Take on Me ' for $1.99USD. Only yesterday the 1st October 2012, I used itunes match to update my music library. Today when I logged into my account there was NO $13.44USD showing up next to my Apple ID. And when I tried to download an app, I got a notification saying my Apple ID has been disabled. PLEASE HELP me. Apple disabled another ID sometime before that I have not been able to get reactivated. But I can't afford to lose this Apple ID because I use it ALL the time, plus I have itunes match with this Apple ID account. Please tell me what to do. How can I contact Apple directly???

  • Order cancelled for valid credit card. How to reinstate the order?

This is my Order Number: 2FFVLJ
I've always owned a Thinkpad for the past 10 years and am a staunch Thinkpad fan.  The R60 and Z60m have been reliable and faithful companions.  I have been recommending Thinkpad to my colleagues and friends.  Hence when I needed a new laptop, I went directly to lenovo's site and ordered a T510 (Web Special) on 4th August 2010 using a valid credit card.
For two days the status was "in process".  On Aug 6th, I was unable to login in usng the cust no and order no to see the status.  When I called the sales customer service, I was informed that the order was cancelled from lenovo's side.  They pointed me to the credit card department for further information.  When I called the credit card department, they claimed information mismatch as the reason for the cancellation but they could not point out what exactly was the mismatch.
I can assure you that the card is valid.
Currently I'm not able to place another order for the same model from lenovo's site as it is no longer available.  This is very regretful as I was really looking forward to getting my laptop of choice.  I tried calling the sales dept but they are not available as it is weekend now (everyone needs a break )  So I have emailed them for help.  I'm yet to get a response.  This has been a nail biting experience.  I'm anxiously waiting for the response from the sales dept.
Will it be possible to fix the issue in sales and reinstate the cancelled order with the same model and price?
Any pointers will be most helpful.

I should be extremely cautious. Look up the Apple Store telephone number for your country and ring them to ask about it.

  • ITunes won't recognize valid credit card in PayPal

When I try to add PayPal as my method of payment in iTunes, the PayPal Authentication page says, "Error Detected: This recipient requires that you have a valid funding source from United States in order to complete this transaction." I do have a valid credit card in PayPal. I've e-mailed both PayPal and iTunes several times and have received no helpful answers (canned responses only). Has anyone else had this problem?

I have e-mailed iTunes support more than 15 times in the last 2 months and they have not investigated this problem. Two of their responses asked me to reply with a phone number and time I can be reached, and I heard nothing by phone or e-mail after responding with that info.
My credit card in PayPal has a United States bank address and PayPal verified that it is valid.
I haven't found any workaround and am disgusted with iTunes web-based support. I don't believe a person is reading my issue; the support e-mails appear automated - with human touches - to respond to key words in my question but don't answer the unique nature of this issue.
Has anyone else received viable assistance from iTunes web-based support?

  • Why do we need a valid credit card in order to publish books?

I'm 15, and I don't have a credit card, yet I want to publish a book for free (of course) onto iBooks from iBooks Author and so I tried to create a free account, and it says I can't do it because I don't have a valid credit card. There's no way my parents would put a credit card onto my account permanently, because they're afraid of their data getting stolen... Since I'm just going to publish books for free, I just don't see why I need a credit card.

Apple have a set of requirements and in your situation... you cannot meet their banking and credit card requirements.   At 15 you  should be aware that where  money is concerned those who have it and want more... protect the methods of control!
The next thing you need to  deal with is that,  basically   the  CC requirement as nothing whatever to do with a free iBooks account.
The credit card is more about making  purchases from the various Apple online  stores such as iBooks,  iTunes (download music) apps and in app purchases and local high street stores for devices and accessories.
Apple  do not  have any options which do not include  banking details and credit cards and care little about the problems of youth and lack of credit cards.   Its a case of our club - our rules.. comply or go away!
So lets look at other options, you can distribute any eBooks  created using iBA software, however you wish - providing no payments in cash or kind are recieved. You can of course take a chance  and replace Samsung as Apples litigation target!
The easy way is upload an iBooks file  into Dropbox and  email links to  fans, friends and family.
    OR
Your parents could open an account and allow you to act as publisher for them! Ditto a friend with a CC.
But if your own parents would not trust you with their credit cards the above will not be  suitable.
If its a book which is school or peer reralated, maybe your school have a server  and would allow you to use it to allow other students to  download your books.... extend that thought to  approaching other schools locally or statewide....

  • Nephew used bogus email account(used valid credit card)

I am trying to help my Nephew to regain his previous purchases in iTunes.
When he received his iPod Touch last year, a friend helped him setup his account using a bogus email address. However, he did use a valid credit card and was able to purchase music, movies, tv shows and apps. Everything was working, he was able to sync his Touch without any issues. When he bought an iPhone and tried to sync/transfer his library, he kept receiving "incorrect password, please retry".
The issue is he needs a new iTunes account. But, he doesn't want to lose his purchases
All of the pruchases are still on his iPod Touch and Macbook Air.
Does anyone have any advice or a suggestion?
    Thanks in advance!

edit: I should add that the bogus email account was used as his iTunes id.
