If your lock button is broken, the only solution is to get the phone replaced or repaired. There is no way to reset the phone without a functioning lock button.

This is a user to user tech support form, not Apple support. The S/N wouldn't provide any solution regardless.

Normally one would do a reset, however without the lock button, which is the sleep/wake button, you cannot do a reset. You could always wait until the battery dies to see if it will start when plugged in, but the sleep/wake button is an integral part of the phone and needs to work to do a number of functions. I suggest that you make an appointment at the Genius Bar to get it fixed.

You would need to get a replacement as an Out of Warranty Service due to accidental damage. Now based on your country/region you could either get a replacement through postage or at an Apple Retail Store. Follow the link below for a pricing:

You can have a different receiving email in the Messages app on each device : Settings > Messages > Receive At . I'm not sure that there is a different way to have the message only go to one device.

Try holding down the on/off and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo. If you are still having problems take it to and Apple store for repair.

maybe your power button is pushed down and won't allow it to turn on.
usually when you touch any button on an iphone, it will turn on. wether it's the home or power button.

And since there isn't a apple store close to me, I went to AT&T and they told me I need to do some type of restart (I forget what it's called) it is where you hold down the home and lock button at the same time, but as you can see that wont work since my lock button Is broken. Is there ANYTHING else I can do to fix it!?

Sorry, there is no other way to turn your phone on. Make an appointment at an Apple store or go to a third-party repair shop. Be aware, if a third-party touches your phone, you forfeit the right to an out of warranty replacement from Apple.

My lock screen is frozen! It will not let me slide to unlock or touch the screen at all. I can't power it down either because the lock button is broken. A friend of mine said I might need a new Digitizer? Is there anyway I can avoid that? Pleasae Help!
I am having the SAME exact problem! Except instead of lock button broken it's my home button so I can't do the whole "put in recovery mode" deal. My screen only says "tap the home button 3 times" and it has my screen locked until I hit the home button but since it is broken I can't get in my phone at all. I have all of my work info in my phone so I'm screwed and can't get any help. PLEASE let me know if you find a way around this...!!!
