Assuming you are not syncing with iCloud and you mean, syncing with iTunes only...(you can only use one or the other for syncing to prevent duplicates)
iTunes -
- Open iTunes on your Mac. Connect your iPad. Then click on your iPad (either its name or just "iPad"), then click the info tab (right above the photo of an iPad in the middle). From here you can select sync contacts, then sync groups, and select the groups you want and choose Apply/Sync in the bottom left corner.
iCloud -
- With iCloud if you just sign into iCloud in System Preferences and turn on Contacts, it will prompt to merge all of your contacts that are not already syncing with Gmail or Yahoo!, etc. so there really isnt a way to pick and choose as much with that.
- However if you really want to use iCloud and not iTunes, you could import the contacts that you want into iCloud.com, but you would need to export them from your Contacts App on your Mac and then import them into iCloud (VCard / .VCF is the format you want).

Go to Settings, mail, and you should see something for hotmail at the top. when you click on it,it opens another screen that will have a delete button at the bottom. Just hit that delete button and it will remove the ability of someone looking at your email when they click the mail app.
You cant really block others from lookng at it if you allow them to use your ipad.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. How can I remove the iOS5 Newsstand App from my iPad

I keep all of my apps organized into 5 folders running on the bottom along with the Safari app.
I like to keep my iPad screen free of clutter so I can enjoy my wallpaper.
I read the threads and see that the Newsstand acts as a folder itself which is why I can't hide it within another folder, but I really don't want to have to run two pages just to hide the app, can we please have in the next patch update and option to remove this app as I never plan to use it and don't care to read magazines or newspapers on my iPad.

I'm able to get newsstand into a folder, but it seems to pop out again whenever I download an app update (for unrelated apps in a different group). I did the update via my Windows machine, not from the phone directly.

Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

You can try this:
1. Go to the iTunes Store or App Store
2. Scroll down, there you will see Apple ID: "your email" (below Redeem and Send Gift)
3. Tap on that button
4. Tap on Sign Out
Now you should be able to use another Apple ID.

When I attempted, the iPhone 6+ message asked if I wanted to remove ALL of the backups... without giving me the option of selecting the specific one I wanted to remove.
I had performed 'backups' of my old iPhone, but, when I tried to RESTORE to the REPLACEMENT iPhone, at least one of the iCloud backups shows 'incomplete'. There was no 'error' on the original iPhone...when it 'failed' to complete the backup.
Now, I would like to 'clear up' the 'storage' on the iCloud, but am unable to select specific ones. I can either keep all instances or shut off iCloud Backup which would, according to the message, remove/delete ALL of the BACKUPS.
This shouldn't be this difficult.....

I too wondered how you remove apps from iCloud. Judging by the quantity of questions, comments, suggestions and replies (some rather rude) there is a clear need for Apple to make their literature a lot clearer. The page describing what iCloud backs up refers to "app data" as an item which is backed up. To the uniniated this might mean the app program but it seems not. The app is "bought" via iTunes or the App Store and details of your purchase (free or otherwise) is held there separately on the server.
It would be nice however to be able to remove the reference to junk I have downloaded and decided I don't want so that it doesn't appear on the purchased apps listing! Apple please note this.
It must be remembered that Apple products come pitifully supported by manuals "out of the box" on the assumption that it is so easy to use the product that no explanation is needed. They forget that most buyers of Apple products (me included) don't know (and don't want to know) how they work, so when something is not obvious they are required to plough through Lord knows how many web pages of "knowledge base" material until they find an answer.
All I can add is that it is worth spending time reading the multiitude of discussion threads before asking the question yet again...

I Think that you had a corrupt email or an email with a really large attachment in that folder and it is now causing the mail app to crash. When the app closes and goes back to the home screen, that is an app crashing. I would try to delete this folder on the server. Log into your Gmail in a web browser and try to delete it there. If you delete it there, that will delete it on the iPad.

Follow the instructions in the support article from which you came and select "none" as the payment method. If you don't see a "none" option, you may have an outstanding balance that you owe.
