HT4437 ipad 2 hdmi adapter to tv

How come the screen mirroring does not work any more? All I can do is mirror movies, music and photos now. What is the good of having an ipad 2 if it only acts like the ipad 1 because of the update. It used to work before the update! NO WORD FROM APPLE?!

IPad 2 HDMI Adapter - Max Cable Distance

I work as a A/V Specialist at a local university. Currently we are running the majority of new projectors with HDMI. Since the iPad 2 has come out with its mirroring feature via the HDMI adapter, professors want to be able to plug their iPads into our projectors. The problem I seem to be facing is that if the cable is long (which most of them are longer than 25ft), it doesn't work. It will work on a 2 meter HDMI though. I just don't have a lot of lengths to test with and was wondering if someone knew if there was a max length for the HDMI cable. It makes sense that the iPad most likely doesn't push a lot of power out of the port being a mobile device.
My next question is, has anyone tried some sort of HDMI power injector to get over the distance problem and been successful? If so, I would appreciate knowing what model you used.

Using a generic 10ft HDMI cable for the IPad2 with the HDMI adapter from Apple is working for me (destination is . On occasion it loses the audio. Stopping and starting the video player usually brings the audio back. The audio sometimes works at first and then randomly fails. I suspected imperceptible movement between the stiff HDMI cable, the adapter, and IPad2. Securing the wires to relieve strain relative to the IPad2 appears to have helped, but that means the device cannot be moved around freely. (Why audio would drop instead of high bandwidth video or both signals, I have no idea.)

I am using an ipad 2 with updated iOS 7.0.6. Whenever I try to stream my netflix app via the 30pin hdmi adapter it will pop up with an error stating that the adapter is not supported. Please help!!

Is it possible too watch voddler on tv throuht the iPad with hdmi adapter?

I can se movies from iTunes and YouTube on the tv,but not movies on voddler. Is there any settings i have missed?

You can purchase/rent episodes through iTunes, or check in the App Store to see if there is an app for that network - even then, it might not show the shows you wish. :-)

Skype to tv via ipad2 using hdmi adapter?

Is it possible to Skype to tv via ipad2 using hdmi adapter? I'm caring 4 my 94 yr old father who has low vision & was hoping we could buy the hdmi adapter to use Skype on his larger screen tv. He has the Skype app on his tv but for what limited use we'd have don't want to have to buy a tv camera. Tnx for any suggestions,

I have been using Skype iPad connected to a nearby monitor via HDMI for about a year. Video is mirrored but, with the HDMI adapter, sound is only on the monitor. Recently, I have started having jitter in the sound on about four out of five calls. Cannot tell if the call will be alright until it is answered. If I restart the call enough times, I can make it go away. If I unplug the (iPad to) HDMI adapter, the sound is clear. Re-installing the Skype app did not help. Any ideas? Any hope?

HDMI adapter does not work on IPad 2. Not unique to this cable or to my ipad

I bought the apple branded HDMI adapter for my new IPad 2. When I plug it in it will give me a black screen and will, at most, very very sporadically flash the ipad screen for about one second then go back to black. Before assisting please read below to see what I have tried already:
I tried the cable on 2 different IPad2s and an original IPad.
I tried a different cable of the same design on 2 different IPad2s
I tried using both cables on two different tvs and using two different hdmi cables
I also tried powering off
I also tried running for-sure-supposed-to-work apps (although the IPad2 should mirror so that was unnecessary too).
I took to the Apple Store and they had no clue what was going on either. Anyone know if this adapter is just a defective product in general? What other things can I do to put my IPad on the tv...it was a large part of why I bought it.

Don't know if this will help, but this is the procedure I use to get mine to work:
Insert HDMI cable into TV port.
With TV on, select input to HDMI port on the TV that the cable is connected to.
With the iPad in sleep mode attach adapter with HDMI cable and power adapter connected to iPad.
Turn iPad on (take out of sleep mode).
This works for me every time.
Also heard that a while ago Apple produced a batch of bad HDMI adapters. This could have happened again or not all the bad ones got sent back.

I have always been able to connect my Ipad to the tv with the HDMI adapter but since most recent software update it does not work. Is it me or has others expeirenced this?

I have tried to stream movies and live TV using my HDMI adapter and cable . I have always had it work but with the most recent update it no longer will connect. I hope someone has a good solution.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

Why can't I see streamed video from PC to IPad 1 on TV when using HDMI adapter but can watch videos stored on the iPad

I can watch videos streamed from my PC to my IPad 1 on the iPad screen.
I can watch videos on my TV which are stored on the Ipad using an HDMI adapter.
I cannot watch videos streamed from my PC to my Ipad on my TV using the HDMI adapter, I get sound but no picture although the picture shows on the Ipad screen.
Can anyone tell me why this should be and whether there is a solution?

How does one "flatten the annotations? Do you need Acrobat to do it? Can you do it on the pdf or do you have to change it to a word doc?

HT1454 iPad 2, using the 30-pin to HDMI adapter - White Snow/Noise

I actually have 2 adapters and have tried them both with the same results. Both adapters work as intended on my HDTV. However when I attempt to use them on my HD projector I get White Noise/Snow/Static.

The projector finds the source fine but then displays the static instead of the iPad screen. The iPad screen will flicker into view every minute or so for about 1 second. Then back to the static. I have used many other HDMI devices with these projectors (I have 2 and they both do the same thing with iPad).
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Has anyone had any luck using the 30-pin to VGA adapter?

It worked perfectly for me for a year until I replaced it with Apple TV.
Having said that, I can't guarantee that it will work with every app. Give it a shot and try it immediately. If it doesn't work with the app(s) that are important to you, return it for a refund.
By the way, I did find that the Apple TV does support every app that the cable did but no additional apps. Although it does have other bennies, for this purpose it's an "electronic cable."

Once I begin to play a movie from my iPad to the TV using the HDMI adapter it will pause and lose sound every few minutes. I am using the video app and the movie plays fine if not connected.
I have also checked to make sure that everything is connected properly.

Well, I thought it was solved... or at least solved enough to live with. I had originally installed 2.6.31 from testing to try and fix this issue, and it substantially improved, but now it's gotten worse again. At home on a WPA network, it drops maybe once or twice a day. Here on this unencrypted network, it's going out once or twice every half hour. Same error messages as above.
I tried reinstalling, but ended up with the same errors almost right away. This bites!
Anyone have any other ideas to try?

EDIT: I tried rebuilding rt2x00-rt71w-fw from source. PKGBUILD has the incorrect source link. So I actually went to the ralink site, downloaded the (hopefully correct) driver package, unzipped it and copied rt73.bin to /usr/lib/firmware --overwrote the existing copy. I haven't got any errors yet, but it's only been 20 minutes so far. We'll see. I'm not sure if it's the identical rt73.bin that's currently in the repos or if it's different. Forgot to compare the two before I overwrote the old one.
EDIT2: No luck with the different rt73.bin. Also tried the new Ubuntu karmin beta and got the same errors -- and a freeze when I pulled the adapter out when it stopped working.

I have problem with connecting ipad2 to TV using HDMI adapter (genuine apple) after upgrading to ios 7.0
TV shows static or blinking black screen
Worked perfect with 6.1.3.
Pls advice.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

IPad 3 what hdmi adapter do I use

I have a iPad 3 , and looking at purchasing a HDMI adapter that's compatable, has anyone had any success? I don't see any HDMI adapters in Apples accessories for the iPad 3, but have seen 5-1 and 6-1 units that are advertised on EBay , all claiming to work when questioned via. Email, I am still skeptical and holding back until I hear some positive feed back.
If you know otherwise I d appreciate your help.

Ipad HDMI adapter BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle

Anyone ever get the ipad with the Lightning Digital AV Adapter that has HDMI into an Intensity Shuttle? Thunderbolt or USB3? I can get it to show video just fine with the Intensity Pro PCIe card but not on the shuttles. Setting is 720p 60. Anyone? Thanks!

In the post a guy from blackmagic says: "So we've heard of 720p60 working as well as 1080p30." sooooo.. yeah.. Also the blackmagic boxes are just capture cards taking standard HDMI in, they can do 720, 1080, NTSC.. I have run many different sources into them without issues. And others have had the 30pin work, I really feel that Apple removed this ability going to the Lightning Digital AV Adapter. I would love to hear from Apple on this or anyone who has ever got this to work.
