It's randomly trying to delete my messages, won't let me text, opens Safari and other windows, won't let me turn it off, and too much more. I have tried to contact Apple without having to drive an hour away just to make an appointment for something that might not need an appointment. Unfortunatly, it just gives me recordings. I do not want to get a new phone AGAIN, because last time, it deleted all of my games even when I used ICloud. Please help me fix this problem and better understand what to do.

Reset it. Hold down the power and home button together until the Apple logo is displayed, and let go. No settings or data will be lost.

Phone part of iPhone going crazy

I went to the Apple store and complained about the fact that many times the phone freezes when someone is calling me, that whenever I finish a call the screen goes black. After putting the phone into its original settings and then syncing it back, I was given a new iPhone (which was nice of Apple).
But the same thing is happening to the new phone: dropped calls, the screen does not stay lit when I want to end a call, the iPhone freezes.
It is obvious that it has a virus or a software glitch and by syncing it with iTunes the new phone got the same problem. The problem is with the phone part of the iPhone. The rest (iPOD, photos, internet browsing) is ok.
So basically the problem was not resloved and the iPhone is driving me nuts. As a phone it is terrible! I have no idea the the Apple "geniuses" also have no idea of what's going on!

Ok guys and gals, it seems that other users complained about the same problem. Remember I said it all started right after I synced it with an iTunes update. See this:

My phone also freezes all the time (4 to 5x a day) ever since I installed 1.1.1, sometimes it freezes when trying to select a song on the ipod but most of the time it is freezing when utilizing the phone. I notice that it freezes alot when someone has left a voicemail. Whatever the case, it is getting annoying.

I have to say, ever since I did the update my iPhone freezes at least 2-3x per day. It sometimes wont let me answer a call, sometimes I am waiting for a voice mail to appear, sometimes when i am just playing with it. It never ever froze up before on the older version. I hope that Apple is reading this and has a fix in the works. This coul cause me to change back to my Blackberry if it continues to happen every day.

why does plugging in iphone 4 to PC it is authorized on cause the computers wireless adapter to shutdown? Don't recall changing anything on either one, but did do some updates on windows update.

You probably would get better answers to this on a Microsoft Windows forum...the iPhone should notbe doing anything to affect the operation of Windows as it does not communicate with the operating system.
Have you checked the Network Control Panel to see if anything has been changed due to the Windows updates you installed? Something in the updates must have changed the network settings or network card settings.

IPhone goes crazy when laying flat while charging

Hello,
I recently bought a iPhone 6 for the first time but ran into a small problem and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing something like this.
When I charge the iPhone through the lightning cable and put it flat on my bed, the iPhone literally freaks out and inputs random commands on the screen. When the screen is unlocked this results in random apps being opened, the screen swiped and random places pressed.
Strangely enough, this only happens when the lightning cable is plugged in.
I had a similar issue with a android device once so I'm wondering if anyone has an idea what's causing this.

I messed a bit around with the phone and figurd that it only happens when I charge the iPhone through a wall usb plug. Using the lightning cable on my mac does not cause these problems.
Since the iPhone's screen is capacitive, this could be a issue with static?

Why is My Ipod going crazy!

My Ipod seems to not do anything. First of all I do know how to turn it on so don't respond with that.
My Ipod Problems
Continuously going through the songs, never playing them.
My Ipod rarely reads when I plug it to the Comp.
It will get extremely hot.
It has reset it self maybe 2 times.
Plays through about 10-20 secs of a song then it will switch the next one. Usually the next one will completely lock up the Ipod and i have to do the center button Menu combo to reset it.
What I have done
I have reinstalled Itunes
I have restored the Ipod to factory settings
I have updated both Itunes and the Updater.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults.
If you still have the problem then you may have a problem with the headphones. Maybe a bad connection or intermitent short/open.

Why are my apps going crazy?

So i have an ipod touch 4g and deceided to upgrade to iOS 5. As usual it told me the backup failed and that it would erase everything but that didnt really matter. Now iv moved my library to another computer and everything is back on fine except my apps! They're all over the place, some are stuck at "waiting". They're some empty spaces and nothing will go there as if theres an invisible app. And are some apps non compatible with iOS 5 at the moment?

Try this list to #1-16, then use Firefox and see if the problems go away.
Perhaps conside turning off Graphics Swtiching in Energy saver, Intel HD 3000 graphics are cheap junk, you got a real video card use it.

I tried dialing in five times with each of the following settings:
Connecting on LTE (with no confirmation boop-boop tone that I'm on the 3G Extender): the telecon login worked five out of five times. This is impractical for me as I have wretched LTE signal where I live and it snaps hard over to 1x signal every 2-5 minutes and drops my call. That's why I got an extender!
Connecting on 3G (after a #48 positive confirmation boop-boop tone that I'm on the 3G Extender): telecon login worked zero out of five times. I had stellar 3G signal, but the 'overdialing' DTMF problem was consistent and I was unable to connect to the telecon service.

Why does my iphone 3gs screen go white after it goes "to sleep" for the first time after turning it on?
The screen isn't broken because it works after i turn the device off and back on, but after it goes black once, it's only white again.
But it takes the touches although it's only white, because I can answer my phone when I slide my finger on the bottom of the screen, eventhough there in not the button to see.
This is so weird. I have already done everything I can think of that might help. But I cannot think of anything that might be causing it, because nothing has happened to the device.

My wife's iPhone is the same vintage as mine 3Gs, but has never had the battery problem. Its affliction instead is that it cannot detect WiFi networks unless it is quite close to the source. Often, when my iPhone not only detects but shows a maximum cells connection with a network, hers cannot detect the network at all. In contrast, her iPhone seems to detect ourcellular carrier just as well as mine does.
Is there any help for this affliction?

Iphone 5C wifi greyed out and screen going crazy

Hi I bought my iPhone back in October in Us from Tmobile, since December the wifi greyed out and hasn't worked once (been living on data) now recently the screen goes crazy, it types by its self unlocks the phone (dont have a password) sometimes calls people etc... now the thing is I recently moved to Dubai and I cant go to a apple store as we do not have one here, so could I ship my phone to States and have apple repair it or give me a replacement if I pay for their shipping costs back to Dubai ? If not jailbroken, restore the iOS. Most likely there is a hardware problem
The warranty is valid only in the USA. Apple will not accept shipment from or ship to any address outside the USA for this phone.

My iphone screen goes crazy when it charges

Hey there,
Whenever I charge my iPhone my screen goes crazy when I touch it. If i'm typing whilst its charging it clicks random things and deleted what i've typed. The phone works completely fine when its not charging and I haven't had any other problems with it. I have the iPhone 5c iOS 7.1.1 (about to update after this post).
If anyone could help me that would be great!

I have the same exact problem and I use an Apple charger and lightning wire cord. Resetting the phone doesn't work and neither does shutting it off and turning it back on. It is infuriating to say the least, especially because this stupid phone spends more time on the charger than off. The battery is crap.

Let me first say that I am NO EXPERT with anything Apple and really have only started looking into this iCloud stuff a few hours ago because I'm trying to help my mom free up some space on her iCloud. But anyway, here's what I'm learning and what I THINK might be happening to you.
Also, if any Apple support people (do they browse the forums to dish out helpful hints?) or people who probably know infinitely more than me about this stuff, please do chime in and confirm / correct my statements!
This is what I gather.
iCloud for Windows is set up with a local folder (let's call it "C:\Users\Administrator\Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream") where iCloud will store photos uploaded to the Photo Stream. This will allow you to view your Photo Stream photos on your PC.
This does not mean that this is a PC backup of your Photo Stream photos, but just a way to view your Photo Stream from your PC. That being said, the general Photo Stream rules apply: 1. No videos are on the photo-stream, and 2. Photos on the Photo Stream will be removed after ~30 days and/or after hitting the Photo Stream limit of 1000 photos.
My guess is that the iCloud Windows App will delete photos from the local folder that are older than ~30 days and/or delete all but the most recent 1000 items if the 1000-item limit is reached.
That is a scary thought! I really hope you did not lose all your pictures, but my guess is that the iCloud local folder is NOT meant for backup but instead is the iCloud Windows App's sandbox for updating and managing Photo Stream photos.
All that being said, I'd say it's important to back up your photos in a separate folder not related to the iCloud local folder.
