HT4623 After updating my software on my iPhone 4s; my phone is not recognized by iTunes and none of the support suggestions have worked.  I am not satisfied with my apple support

After updating to the latest software, my iPhone 4s and iPad 2 are not recognized by iTunes.  I have attempted all of the suggusted material on Apple support.  I am not satisfied as these items are needed daily.

Connect the device to the computer.
Quit iTunes if it launches.
Click the Start menu, right-click on Computer, and choose Properties.
In the upper-left corner, click Device Manager. The Device Manager window should open.
Click the plus icon (or disclosure triangle () for Windows 7) next to Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand this selection.
Right click on apple mobile device USB Driver and update it to latest version.
This worked for me..
