I have tried everything I know of. It worked fine an hour ago. I have a white screen, buttons will not turn it off and I get get to anything. Any ideas whats going on?

That's fine - except nobody here knows what you have been able to think of try to this point.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
It really helps if you let others know "what you know of" and already tried.

On startup I get an Alert dialog that tells me that some security feature is not working and I should correct things in the Firefox profile. What's going on?

On Mac OS X 10.6.6, MacBook Pro.
When I launch Firefox I get an Alert that says,
Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features.
If I click OK, it goes away and Firefox seems to work fine, but I don't like this situation. Anyone know what this is?
I've trashed the old Firefox (which left a few dynamic libs open and I had to restart to empty the trash) and I installed the latest Firefox (3.6.14), but the problem remains. I found a profile for Firefox in the /Library/Cache folder, but I don't know what to do with it. My disk has plenty of room.

I can't get the patch select buttons to work in edit mode.

I can't get the patch select buttons to work in edit mode. When I select any template, the set buttons or the patch buttons don't work at all. My up and down arrows work fine but I need the on screen buttons to be assigned to my footswitch.

In edit mode, at concert level, select the pedal. Then in the screen control inspector, in the mappings tab, select actions>next patch.

The problem went away on its own. Not sure what was the problem but perhaps somehow the system was out sync internally due installing Lion 10.7.3/Snow Leopard 10.6.8/10.7/10.7.3 with iTunes 6 installing after the 10.7.3 and then needing to be installed again after the second 10.7.3 install from the updater model.
I kept accepting the error message and checking iTunes music file. No podcast downloads were actually rejected.

Can't get the "Email Me" button to work

I added an "Email Me" button on my web site but when you click on it, it does not put my email address in the "To" section. How do I get this to happen automatically?
* My web site is posted to a web host (not Mobile Me)
* I already created an email address at the web host
The HELP section of iWeb says this about Adding an Email Me button:

What do I call the card and how do I get it to link with the button?

There are two ways to turn off Zoom:
1. Connect to iTunes. Go to the iPhone summary pane and click the "Configure Universal Access" button. Then turn Zoom off.
2. Double-tap the phone's screen with three fingers. Then go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Zoom and tap the Zoom On/Off switch.

On the iPhone, go into Settings -> Store and turn off "Automatic Downloads" for Apps (and Music and Books, if you wish). You can also do that on the iPad to prevent it from going in the opposite direction.
That will stop any automatic downloading... to prevent them from coming over when using iTunes, select the phone (under Devices), Apps, and then uncheck "Automatically sync new apps." Again, do the same for the iPad if you wish.

Can't get stored maps on E71 to work, and E71 alwa...

Hi everyone.
I have two questions about my new E71.
1) How can I get my phone to use the stored maps I have on it (from the Nokia Maps loader) without using any data? I've searched and can't figure out how. I've opened up Nokia maps and let it search for satelites for 10 minutes outdoors and it never picked up anything.
2) If I choose a bookmark as a shortcut on my homescreen, it always connects to the web with a WiFi access point called "default", rather than my normal hotspot's name, and then it is unable to connect.
Can anyone help?

Not quiet understand there, what data do you mean? Does Nokia Maps application goes online? If this what you mean by data then you can set it up in options->tools->Settings->Internet by setting "Go online at start up"
to "No".

Try going to phone settings-connection-destinations. Remove from there any unwanted "destination" and set up from options-priority priority of you WLAN as number1
As for fixing to GPS satellites...can't help you there, except giving you standard helpdesk advise to let Nokia Service
center reflash your E71 (actually it's not that bad of idea, it helps most of the time)

Can't Get the Facebook Like Button To Work

So I've put a like button on my website, and I can't seem to get it to work. I put my company's facebook URL as the target URL. Then I publish, click "like", and nothing happens. Will they not work while it's being hosted on BC? Do I have to upload to an FTP host before the widget will function properly?

You are still under warranty. Call Apple Care. Make sure you get a case number as all repairs have an additional 90 days of warranty.
