I just got an Ipad and I really dont know much about them its a 32gb 4g wi-fi, I use at&t as my server(dsl) and that works fine but I need to download my mcafee which comes with my at&t for free but it wont let me download it says I need more than 6.1.0and I dont know what to do can anyone help, I know someone that has 1 just like mine but she doesnt use a antivirus and doesnt have any trouble but,,, I have a laptop and a desktop and I use mcafee on both,, so any suggestions, I just down know what to do,,, can anyone give me input on what to do, and I also what to know is there anyway I can use my portable device that I got thru at&t that I can buy minutes on, is there an adapter for this ipad that I can use this on,, help I need all I can get,, thanks chrystie
You can not install it.
Only apps from the official Apple App Store can be installed.

Old I-tunes accepted both my i-pods - now it only accepts one and tells me the second cannot be synched as a duplicate name has been used.

As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

What have you done so far? Zap the pram? Go to system preferences and turn off sleep options? Reset the SMC? Hav you tried an external monitor to see if it does it?

If the reset doesn't do it then it's possible that the backlight or another part of your screen has broken. Unfortunately it's not really user servicible. I'd make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. If your device is still under warranty and they don't determine that the damage was the result of 'abuse or neglect' (their words) then it could be a free replacement.
I'd just do a backup before you take it in, just in case. -

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

I bought a season of a TV show yesterday afternoon. When I tried to play an episode, it told me it would take 1 hour 45 minutes to download. Of course each episode is only 50 mins or so. I tried later in the evening, same message.
This morning I got the same message, only one hour and 20 minutes. Finallly, the episode started to play so I thought all was well. I had to pause the episode 35 minutes in and when I tried to resume, I got the same old message. Although at first it said ready to play in 15 min, then that time frame started getting greater and greater so that now ii's up to 32 minutes.
Can anyone help?Also, I have read I should take the battery out... but I'd have to unscrew the bottom to get at it... which i don't know if I trust myself doing.
And bearing in mind I've turned it on a few times to see if it is working (BAD I KNOW) is it still worth leaving it to dry for a few more days before taking it to Apple store of will I have already completely ruined its chances of surviving? -
My Macbook aliminium unibody from late 2008 will not boot. I reach the grey screen with the apple icon and the spinning grey gear. I used disk utility to boot it but it said integrity test failed. I don't know what to do can anyone please help?
Sounds like you may have a harddrive issue. You are probably going to need to get that changed out and then install the OS X again to get it going.

Specifically:
Resolution
Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (chooseSettings > General > Bluetooth).
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings -
Itunes said i owed $38.91 so i paid with my creditcard,then said it was declined but i checked my account and $38.91 went to itunes, it still saying i owe $38.91. I dont know what to do ...help???

I was downloading apps that i deleted and my 4th generation froze. So i turned it off and restarted it and nothing happened. It is just showing me the apple screen after you restart it. I dont know what to do please help!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
