In MM02 I had taken the material T-BBD09,and select views i selected Basic Data1 and executed its taking very long time to open its going to time out after 1 hr,how to rectify the same to open.
Remaining all tr.codes working fine in my server,any inputs for the same.

Are they taking a long time to open in the studio or in the workspace?
There could be lots of reasons:
Have there been server changes with the migration?
Have there been any changes in dynamically calculated dimensions?

Table valueset taking long time to open the LOV

We added a table valueset to a concurrent program. The table vaueset showsTransaction number from ra_interface_lines_all table. It is having long list. So we added the partial string entering message before open a long list.But still it is taking long time.

How much memory do you have in your machine?
Are you running VMWare? How much physical (not logical) memory do you have allocated.
What else do you have concurrently running on your machine?

Disk Utility taking long time to open directory with disk images

Hi and thanks in advance.
I have a couple of CD and DVD disk images stored in a folder (and organized into several sub-folders) on a FAT32 volume.
The problem is that recently, Disk Utility takes forever to display the content of any of these folders when I select Open Disk Image from the File menu. The Select an Image to Attach dialog remains empty and the beach ball spins. After a very long time (10-15minutes? I've never had the patience to time it.), the contents will display, if at all. During this period of virtual inactivity, the program is unresponsive.
Since the FAT32 volume is also accessible from my Bootcamped Windows XP OS, I tried doing a disk check and a defragment but it hasn't improved my problem.
Any ideas?

Make sure your MacBookPro has sufficient free disk space to read the disk images.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you always have a minimum of 10% to 15% free disk space at all times.

MacBook Air taking long time to open folder

Running Mountain Lion when opening folders though finder or saving a file to a folder though an application, seems to take a long time to view contents of a folder. It evetualy popualtes but sometimes takes five to fifteen seconds regardless of view I am using.
Any thoughts apprciated.

The reason I asked, is that until I updated to 10.8.2, my shutdown was just a few seconds. For some unknown reason, the shutdown is routinely in the 15-20 second range now.
I have tried disabling every known startup application, deleting the LaunchDaemons, and LaunchAgents folder contents, and selectively quitting every non-essential process. I have also disabled Spotlight and Notification center. All was to no avail.
What is left is the operating system itself. I reinstalled the OS, mind you, a repair install. Still a slow shutdown.
I suppose what is left is a clean reinstall, with a Setup Assitant restoration of my apps and data. If that doesn't work, I suppose I'll just have to sit and wait for 10.8.3, hoping that Apple is working on it.

PI - ESR taking long time to open

We have PI production system 7.1 on Linux, and we got issue that the ESR link is not getting opened.
It takes huge time and after that it thrown 500 Internal server Error.

It is a unix server on which PIP is running.
And from the same browser I can open the ESR for quality system properly.
So it seems the issue is not related to local browser of JRE too.

Work book taking longer time to open

Hi,
We created a workbook and embedded one input ready query in it. The query when executed separately takes 1 minute to load. But when the work book is opened for the same selections, it takes 3-5 mins.
There is no Macros written in the workbook and no functions are called while loading work book.
What might be the reason for this. Is there any way by which we can improve the performance?

Hi there,
Open BEx Analyzer.
Click on global settings (before opening the workbook) and mark the option "Repair workbook while running" (option available since BEx Analyzer support package 5 and above)
Now open the workbook (it will still take the 3-5 minutes).
Now save the workbook
Remove the option you have just marked before ("Repair workbook while running").
Close BEx Analyzer and test it again.

Report Background Engine Taking long time to open

I am seeing this problem. When I run a report (in forms 6i), I get a "FRM-41211: Integration error: SSL failure running another product". The Report background engine doesn't come up right away... looking at the system process the RBE starts using almost 50% of the CPU and takes about 10 min to come up. If I run it on my local machine, just running the executable (c:\oracle6i\bin\RWRBE60.EXE) it comes up right away... on this users it doesn't. We think it may be something blocking it... anyon ehave any suggestions?

I recently had that same problem with FRM-41211 error. It turned out eventually that the culprit was newly installed HP Deskjet printer on that employees computer. When I removed the printer and uninstalled its driver reports started to work normally. Hope that helps.

As the issue you are facing is that the webi report is taking too long to open and refresh, I would recommend the below steps.
1. Check whether the webi report is set to "Refreh on Open" if yes probably you need to uncheck, save the report and open it again.
2. Try to run the same query in the backend database and see if it returns the data.
3. Try to run refresh the report for a smaller data selection.
4. make the report run on a specific webi server, and when refreshing have your BOBJ admin monitor that process to see if the process is going in a hung state, using High memory etc.
5. restart webi process and run again

RSPCM is taking long time

Hi,
RSPCM is taking long time to open at the same time RSPC is working fine
when I try to change the process chain status through RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH . it is executing for long time no response. I tried executing it backgrond also from past 2 days it is running, no progress.
Our basis team created index to all backend table of RSPCM, still issue persist. Please suggest me some to get rid of this.

Excel files with fields linked to other excel files take a long time to open from SharePoint library

Trying to track a problem for a user.
Most of the documents opened from our SharePoint libraries appear to open in a timely fashion.
But...one user has noticed an issue, and I just noticed something with her files that are a little less common than other stuff we've seen.
she has a lot of pricelist excel files. there are some master price list files, and then other files that link to fields from within the master files.
the files that contain links to other files appear to be the ones that open very slowly.
the files are being opened via excel itself, not the owa viewer or editor.
is there a trick to setting up either the library, the site, site collection or web app... or some client-side setting that affects how quickly/efficiently excel will open files that link to other excel files shared within sharepoint?

According to your description, my understanding is that when you click a hyperlink which redirect to other files , the file are opened very slowly via excel client.
How about you download the same file and open it using excel client? If it is opened quite fast, the issue should be caused by some third-party add-ins in the office program or antivirus soft.

Webi report takes long time to open

Hi All.
We have created few reports in webi and we have used variables in these reports.
But while opening that reports into BI Launch pad browser, it is taking long time to open. e.g. 5 to 7 min or more.
Please help to resolve this issue.

A couple of questions from my side:
1) Does the webi report contains any chart
2) Are webi reports which are slow only on a single .UNX
3) How about the network.
4) Are you using IE
5) Are you in 3.x or 4.x
Could you try any of the below:
1) Increase Tomcat memory pool to 4096Mb
2) Stop and restart Tomcat once.
3) Try with other browser
4) Use something like Fiddler to understand the network speed
5) Delete cookies in the browser
Try the other options told by our SCN colleagues aswell..
