HT4623 Just tried to update my IPad 2 with this most recent update and now it is saying that I have to restore my Ipad...What happened?
Tried updating my iPad2 with the most recent update and now it is saying that I have to connect to iTunes and restore my Ipad2, what happened? Did I lose all my stuff that I had on it?
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

You can't play music from the computer if there is none there. If you are using iTunes Match you should now be able to download and play all your music on the Apple TV from the music feature on the main page. -
I tried to update my iPod and now it's saying that iTunes cannot connect the iPod. What should I do?
I updated my iTunes and then went to update my iPod to the newer 4.2 version that it kept asking me to and now it says that iTunes cannot connect the iPod. My iPod is now unusbale because the screen on the iPod itself shows that i need to connect it to iTunes, but when I do, there's an error message that pops up telling me that iTunes cannot connect it. Help!! How do I fix this?!

It sounds like that Library is damaged. Restore from your back up is the simple surefire solution.

I really prefer using the "Today" tab instead of the "All My Files" tab, because it loads much faster and only shows me the documents that I want to see. Is there any possible way to get the "Today" tab back?
In Finder, go command - F. On the top left set "Kind" to Date Created, finish selecting the criteria and hot "Save" on the top right. You'll get a new smart folder with an option to add it to the sidebar.

I clicked the button in my setting thatz is saying "software update iOS 6.1.2. It turned off and now My iPad 2 is stuck on a black screen that has the iTunes symbol and a charger that I'm guessing means "plug into iTunes". I did so and then waited four hours to download something. And now it is saying that its going to update my iPad but it isn't working. I tried to "update" twice. I am VERY ANNOYED beczuse the last time i updated it, it just turned off and i didnt have ot plug it in or anything. WHY IS IT DOING THIS.....?????? My ipad will not turn on or anything. I have just updated my iPad2 with iOS 6.3.1. and now I am unable to access my home network. The Wi-Fi icon in the status bar is not shown.
Under settings, Wi-Fi it shows my network name and under the Wi- Fi menu, chose a Network it shows it is searching for my network by name and continues to run and run without finding the network.
Prior to updating to iOs 6.3.1 my system worked perfectly.
Can anybody help please.1. Turn off router for 30 seconds and on again

You don't get a choice. If you decide to update, your phone will be updated to the latest iOS version available for your phone. For you, that's iOS 7.0.4.

I just updated my 4S with iOS 8.1.1 and now my screens are not proportioned correctly - just a bit to long and wide. Is there a way to adjust? Or go back to 8.1?

I am sorry to hear about the screen issues. To clarify, do you only notice the screen proportion difference when in a certain application? By to long or wide are you stating that parts of the screen images are cut off? Please provide details

Hello All, yesterday afternoon I just lost all recent updates to my iCal from the last days. How can this possibly happen ??? It may have occured after I chose the Refresh function after I had problems searching my iCal for a particular event. I think my iPhone was also not properly synched in the morning but I didn't pay it much attention and opened iCal on my MacBookAir instead.
How can I prevent this from happening again?
What can I do to restore iCal with the most recent updates?Random glitch. It doesn't matter; if you didn't backup the data, then you can't recover the data.
In the future, for any 'important' data, back up that data regularly. Forward the 'important' text messages to your email. Trasnfer your photos & videos to your computer, etcetera. -
I have just updated my Ipad mini the latest version (so I am told) but it has stopped my I pad from working and it says that I have to restore it back to factory settings etc. and will lose my data as I dont know whether I have fully back up my photos which I dont wont to lose what do I do??????????????????
If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

Well the term "hotlined" I have never heard before. In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.

Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must click Apply in order for any changes to take effect.
2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist. -

The java file showed up on the "Referenced Libraries". I removed it from there and it fixed the problem.
If I return it to the classpath via Eclipse it doesn't demonstrate the problem.
I don't know how it got into the classpath to cause this problem. I even tried editing the classpath (which I'm fairly certain was not how the problem was caused) but that didn't replicate the problem.
I didn't check the .classpath to see what the entry was before I removed it via eclipse so I don't know what the entry looked like. The problem wasn't in the version is SVN so I don't know how to find what changes were made.
If you sill want a bug report I can enter one but with out any instructions on how to replicate it.
