I am VERY ANNOYED beczuse the last time i updated it, it just turned off and i didnt have ot plug it in or anything. WHY IS IT DOING THIS.....?????? My ipad will not turn on or anything. Help me FIX THIS!!!

To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.
If you are changing to a different iCloud account and need to migrate your data to this new account, when you are prompted about what to do with the iCloud data be sure to select Keep On My iPad. Then when you sign into the new account, when prompted choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. -

Check the General -> Restrictions settings and see if perhaps the iTunes app is turned off there. If not, the app may have been inadvertently moved to another home screen or dropped into a folder. Do a search for the app or try resetting the Home screen layout: Choose General > Reset, then tap Reset Home Screen Layout.

My ipad2 is not responding..I want to restart it but i can get nothing but a black screen with only the apple logo and a small gear icon. It occasionally beeps but no other response. Any ideas as to what may be wrong and what I can do?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPad fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

How long have you had your phone? Because if you've had it a long time, the battery in the phone might of died on you. Or have you dropped it in water, snow, from high up? All those things could of disconnected something internally in your phone, or permentaly damaged the internal hard drive its self, or the sims card.

My iPhone 4s is stuck on a black screen that shows a USB cable connecting to iTunes. The phone will not turn on and the iTunes logo as I described only shows up when I plug the phone into the charger or my computer. Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. If after following all steps the issue remains book an appointment at a local Apple Retail Store to have the iPhone evaluated.

I wanted to update the ios on my iphone yesterday- biggest mistake ever. FOr hours it was stuck with the word searching on the top lest hand were the carrier name should be. At night I finally got the time to connect the **** phone to wifi and tried to update the idiot software again while the phone was charging. Woke up and the phone was on a black screen that asked me to connect the phone to itunes, so i did. Now it tells me to update it through itunes or it will restore the phone to factory settings which is something that I absolutely can not do because itunes has not let me back up my phone for over more that half a year.
Your iPhone is in recovery mode and any data that was not backed up is already gone. You have no choice but to restore the phone and restore from your last backup.

Secondly, Does it have a wall power plug? If the battery is dead, it's won't work. Try to charge it with the wall plug adopter and not through the computer. Some USBs don't put out power so, are you pluging it into a Powered USB?

The water damage is what is wrong with your phone.

Dear Terence, Thank you for responding to my problem. In no way did I mean to discredit the dedication and work of the volunteers assisting Apple customers and if I did, I apologize. I am just so tired of having to purchase a new computer every other year as so it seems. I know they are not perfected, but it is very frustrating when they just go kaput. I am always the first person to appreciate a kind deed and do appreciate your support and help regarding this unfortunate issue. Here are steps to get DFU Mode: Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer. (some turn off iPhone here, I do not) Hold both home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, release power button, keep holding home button until iPhone recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually takes 10-20 seconds of holding the home button. If the iPhone screen is black (blank) the iPhone is in DFU Mode.
You can search the Web for even deeper DFU Modes that can be achieved to avoid iTunes Errors, but these techniques cannot be discussed on Apple Supported Forums. -
