  • Aperture now asks for serial number after last update but app store doesn't provide one. What to do?

After my latest update Aperture now asks for a serial number.
This is a little strange as when you buy it from the app store you don't get one.
Well not one you can see.
    So now can't use it.
What am I supposed to do?

  • Creative Suite 6 now asking for serial number after minor updates

I bought the full version of Creative Suite 6 on release.
Just recently after installing some (but in typical Adobe fashion not all) updates, apps from the suite start up by saying that I am in a 30 day trial!
I have to then press the license button and reenter my serial number.
This never happened prior to the last few weeks.
I tried asking about it on the online chat since Adobe's phone lines are jammed.
This was very much like talking to a wall.
Is this happening to anyone else?
    Thanks,
    Lance

Yep, me too - there's a thread about this here too...

2 out of our 4 iMacs running CS6 are reverting to trial status every morning - despite saying it's accepted the serial number properly, up it pops the next day again! Doesn't just affect Photoshop CS6, we had the same message after launching Illustrator CS6 and InDesign CS6 too. Must be one of these updates that popped up last week, I do wish Adobe tested these things properly before rolling them out to paying customers!!
    SORT IT OUT, ADOBE!!!

  • Just got home with my ipad and its asking for a passcode which i haven't set.....any ideas please???

just got home with my new ipad and its asking for a passcode to let me in - haven't set one up, wasn't told about this in store, any ideas please???? Have tried my apple password & my passcode i use with my i-phone but none works.

Was this a used iPad? Try going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will completely restore the iPad to brand new. It will erase all content, but since the iPad is brand new and you haven't made any changes to it, there is no content that will be erased. Except the passcode, of course

  • HT201263 my ipad is still asking for the passcode while restoring and its dispalying and an error message

my ipad is still asking for the passcode while restoring and its dispalying and an error message. what should i do because i cant acess my ipad anymore. someone help me.

Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

  • After disabling Autolock and trying to disable Passcode Authentification, iPad continues to ask for a passcode, but old passcode not accepted

I wanted to turn off Autolock and Passcode Authentification.
    I set Autolock to "never."
Then, I set Autolock after Replacing Smart Cover to "off."
Finally, I tried to turn off Passcode Authentification. My iPad asked for my passcode. I entered it, but my iPad wouln't take it and asked me to re-enter it; perhaps my finger had slipped. So I entered my passcode again -- and this time correctly, I'm nearly certain. Still my iPad wouldn't take it and asked me to re-enter it.
Not thinking I could have changed my passcode (and how could I have if, according my iPad, I never entered my old one correctly?), I let my iPad go into Sleep mode and returned to work on something else.
And now I can't unlock my iPad. I put in my passcode, and the thing won't take it. Disabled for 60 minutes at this point.

Hmm, I did receive an email saying that the thread was deleted, but did not explain why for some reason. It sounds like the Level 7 guy caused this. I will call Apple tomorrow to find out who is responsible. And see if I can lodge a complaint against that user. Maybe it was because of what the Level 7 guy was saying.
There was useful information posted in that threat that addressed the issue that I am experiencing. I will try to reiterate from the apple website, it says.
    Recovery mode
If you've never synced your device with iTunes, or haven't set up Find My iPhone, you'll need to put your device in recovery mode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
This will erase the device and its passcode.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button, then "slide to power off" to turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button and plug the device into your computer. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on. Don't release the Home button.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open it. iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK. Then restore the device.
If your device doesn't go into recovery mode, try steps 1–4 again.
They suggested that I try this over again until it works. It did not work for me the first time.

  • HT1430 I set-up my new i-pad when I received it Saturday, following the 'on pad' directions.  Having switched it on for the first time since this evening, I am now asked for a 'passcode'.  I now can not proceed.  What can I do?

  • Ipod Touch asks for a Passcode after restart - didn't set one

Connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
