HT4673 App store issue

I bought a used MacBook pro with lion. App,store asks forprevious owners password and their id is populated. That account has been deleted from users but how do I get it off app store. I want an app that they obviously bought at some point but I can't install it. It keeps asking for their info

That's just it. The app says accept under it, but doesn't allow me to purchase. It tells me I need tour chase it, but I am not sure how to.

  • Can someone help me with App Store Issues?

When I go on my phone to re-download old apps on my phone, my purchased section is cleared and there is nothing there, but the weird thing is when I sign into my iTunes account on my computer, all my apps are in the "Purchased" section on there. I have purchased dozens of things and I only have one apple ID so there is no confusion there. Has anyone had a similar problem and/or know a solution to this? I have tried to reset and hard reset, but nothing seems to fix the issue. I have also tried to sign out and back in but nothing.

Ok so I fixed the issue.
First I went to the App Store, clicked my ID, then clicked "View Apple ID" on the App Store and clicked "Remove This Device."
Then went on to Sign out of iTunes & App Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store).
After this I went on my computer version of iTunes and I Unautharized my computer and reauthorized it (it is done from the Store tab on iTunes).
I did a hard reset of my phone and connected it to my computer and let it sync.
While connected I signed back in to iTunes from the same "iTunes & App Store" section in the settings.
I then installed a previously "Purchased" app from the computer version of iTunes
When it finished installing I went to my purchased section and all my apps were back:)
Ok so I'm honestly not sure whether these steps were the reason for the fix (or if there was unnecessary steps), but it did fix the problem I was having with my purchased apps not appearing.

  • App Store Issue

I can no longer access the app store thru iTunes on my laptop. I can access all the other stores. I can still access iTunes on my iPhone. I am running the current version of iTunes. I have also tried running the fix option with no results in resolving the issue. Anyone else run into this problem or have any fix ideas?

I have the same problem, and my iPhone 3GS wont make a backup, (It says there don't exist a place for the backup or somthing like that..), plus the music pictures won't show.

  • App Store issue - Unable to Update

I don't believe this is the right section however I am having an issue with the app store.
This problem has been going on for a while and I've just put it off for a while. I seem to be able to download and install apps fine but can no update them. When I go to update, I log in and I get an error "An error occured during purchase." Which I then hit retry and retry again only to get the same message everytime. However when I hit cancel I get "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (20)" Which of course keeps happening everytime I do this process.
I've read that is is best to log out of the app store via the menu, close and restart it. However I am unable to do so as I only get a sign in option which doesn't do anything.
This has happened through Lion as well as Mountain Lion.
    Thanks in advanced,
    Robin

The problem was not the same but this did the trick for me.

  • Safari, App Store Issues after updating to 10.7.2

I have been running my imac that came preinstalled with Lion
I am having this wierd issue after updating to 10.7.2 recently
When i run Safari, App Store, Itunes, i can see its loading..
but after 2 hours its still loading.
It just seems to be stuck and its not the Beach ball.. So i dont think it hanged
Its not a network issue as well, since i am typing this on Firefox, which is running perfectly
    What could be the reason?

I'm having the same issue on my iMac. I've also noticed the rear of the left side is getting a lot hotter than normal.
I downloaded (from: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1459) the update again and reinstalled it. But nothing's changed. Is there anything else I can try?

  • App Store Issues After Mavericks Update

Hi. I upgraded from Mountain Lion to Mavericks yesterday.
When I run the App Store app, it shows that IMovie is available for an update. When I click the update button, I get a message saying my IMac (bought in late 2007) doesn't have the video card requirements for the new version of IMovie. The problem is that every time I run the App Store app, it still lists IMovie as an update. Is there a way to prevent it for continuing to list IMovie as an update?
I also own IWork '09. After I updgraded to Mavericks yesterday, I was able to download the new Pages, Numbers and Keynote for free. Apparently, the download also slightly updated the versions from IWork '09.  Today, I ran the App Store app again, and it redownloaded the updated '09 versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote. I have no idea why it downloaded them all again. Is there any way to stop it from doing it again?
    Thanks.

I had this issue on 3 different macs when upgrading to Mavericks.
I resolved it by deleting the Compressor app and the "Compressor" and "Apple Qmaster" folders from Library\Application Support\, emptying the trash, rebooting the computer and reinstalling from the App Store.
Unfortunately this did delete all of my encoding presets and qmaster cluster/settings but the app is up and running again.
Also Get Info on the Compressor app after reinstalling and disable App Nap.
    Good luck!

  • IPad 2 App store issues.

    Hi
I have an issue with my iPad and trying to update my apps. I have over 20 updates for apps but can't update them as when I click app store icon the updates it says cannot connect to iTunes store I have signed out and signed in and so on but nothing is working yet I run the same ID on my iPhone 3GS and have no issues and I can also still download new apps on the iPad no problems.
Can someone please point me in the right direction.

This has worked for some recently.
Settings>General>Date and time. Turn automatically off so that you can change the date to a year or so into the future. You might get a message that your apps need updated. Try to connect and update then and then go back and change the date and time back to automatic.
Whether you get any error messages or no messages at all - go back to the app store and see if it works for you.

  • Sharepoint App Store Issue - Sorry, we can't seem to connect to the SharePoint Store. Try again in a bit.

I have just setup a SharePoint 2013 server and attempted to enable the App store by using the following guide:
    http://www.naumanahmed.com/2012/07/sharepoint-2013-app-management-service.html#!/2012/07/sharepoint-2013-app-management-service.html
Everything seemed to go ok until i attempted to download an app.
When SharePoint attempts to get to the app store i get an error saying 'Sorry, we can't seem to connect to the SharePoint Store. Try
again in a bit.'.  If i look at the logs the only error i can see relating to the App Marketplace is this:
An exception was thrown while running task 'GetOfficeMarkets'. Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: Sorry, we can't seem to connect to the SharePoint Store. Try again in a bit.

    at Microsoft.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.StorefrontBase.TryRunTask(TryGetOutput taskMethod)
The server was using a proxy to connect to the internet, but since getting this error i have allowed it to directly access the internet on port 80 and 443.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Are we able to access sharepoint store from PC
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/store/
Use fiddler and netmon for blocked ports
Make sure your app domain works fine.
Make sure App Management Service and Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Subscription Settings Service is started on your server.
Make sure App Management Service Application and Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Subscription Settings Service Application is started.
Check the detail error message of ULS log  to determine the exact cause of the error.

Dive into Central Admin->Manage Web Applications,
select the web-application and up in the Ribbon, select Manage Features
now ACTIVATE for internet access to the Store!
"Apps that require accessible internet facing endpoints"
"Allow users to acquire apps that require internet facing"

    Hey there
    smrt.neha31,
It sounds like you want to disable the Automatic Downloads from the iTunes Store and App Store on your iPhone. Take a look at the article linked below, it provides information that should help you both enable and disable the feature.

  • FYI!  Intego NetBarrier X5 and iTunes App Store Issues

I discovered last night (while attempting to download the iPhone 3.0 update) that my 3rd party firewall, Intego's NetBarrier X5, is preventing App Store application and iPhone software updates.
Back in early March, I upgraded NetBarrier from X4 to X5, importing my settings from the old version into the new. From that point on, I have been unable to update my iPhone applications from within iTunes; I was caught in an endless loop of being asked to log into the App Store, and being denied access (almost as if my credentials weren't making it to Apple's servers). The weird part was, I had no problem downloading music, movies, etc. from the iTunes Store; this issue only affected App Store downloads/updates.
I do not know if this is a problem with Intego or an Apple. I'm inclined to believe that something changed within iTunes 8; a change to the ports used to access the App Store, as opposed to the regular iTunes Store. I say this because, when I turned off NetBarrier completely, I was finally able to access/download my application updates after months of not being able to. As soon as I turned it back on, I got caught up in that endless login loop again. This is definately an issue.
I post this information in the hope that it will resolve similar issues for others. iTunes Support, when contacted numerous times, was completely useless.
It appears that I'm going to have to configure my firewall to allow ALL iTunes traffic to pass. Can someone please tell me where I can find a comprehensive list of ports that must be open for iTunes to function properly? I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hello Everyone,
After upgrading to Snow Leopard, and re-installing X5 (10.5.4), it looks like I may have identified the cause of this issue.
It appears that, within X5, if you select the "+Hide my Apple ID when using iTunes MiniStore+" option (Overview --> Privacy --> Data --> Surf), it jacks-up connections to iTunes Store App/iPhone OS Updates.
For now, I have de-selected this option, and everything seems to be functioning as it should.
I cannot believe that something as stupid as this has caused me (and countless others) so many months of aggravation. I will be reporting this as a defect to Intego later today.
    Hope this information helps.
    Kerry

  • App Store Issues - removing and Uninstalling items

I've asked many times in varioud forums and directly to Apple help, and have yet to get a reply.
    How does one:
1.- Uninstall Final Cut Pro X which was purchased via the App Store and then got a refund since it did not include DVD Pro - thus being useless to one?  It still is installed on my computer, I HAVE NO WAY TO DO A CLEAN UNINSTALL of this application.
2.- How do I remove Final Cut Pro X from the "Purchases" since I no longer "own" the rights to it?
3.- How do I remove Stuffit Expander which I do not want to purchase (system loads trial)?
4.- How do I remove  VirusBarrier Express from the "Purchases" since I do NOT want to install and purchase?
I WILL NOT purchases anything from the AppStore if it does not provide a way to remove "trials" or things you have received a credit for?   If tyne AppStore installs an application, it should be able to "uninstall" the application and remove from the "Purchases" - period.  One no longer has a license for the item or want to purchase the item.
I really need help in uninstalling Final Cut Pro X (for which I received a refund) and removing the other two app from my "Purchases" list.
    TL

Top Bar of App Store says "Puchased".
    Final Cut Pro = "Installed"
Stuffit Expander and VirusBarrier Express = "Install"

  • Re-download of Mavericks - App Store issue

    Hi!
Just got my shiny new Retina MacBook Pro, which came with Mavericks on it. I want to create a USB recovery disk with Diskmaker X, the way it has been outlined on several webpages. When locating Mavericks in App Store and clicking Download, I am not precisely told that it is already installed. Rather, I am told that "the purchase cannot be fulfilled; OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer". There is an option to get more info ("read more"), which leads me to an Apple webpage detailing the system requirements for Mavericks, among those a computer with Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion on it. And that's where it apparently ends.
Any ideas as to how I may persuade App Store to let me re-download Mavericks...?
    Thanks in advance - Ole

Well, chatting with Apple support, their best solution was to wait for the next update of Mavericks. That one should appear as a complete OS dl, which I can then use to create the USB drive. Hum. Well, better than nothing, I suppose...
Your brand new Mac came with a special Mavericks install that is different to the one in the App Store. Once you apply the next update, I believe you will be able to download your copy of Mavericks then to make your bootable USB.
    Cheers
    Pete
Thanks, Pete! I reached the same conclusion, and I also thought it would be possible, as you write, once 10.9.1 came out. But alas that one was also, as far as I can see, a specific update; certainly not a full OS X download.
Guess I will have to find another mac to create the drive with. Thanks anyway!

  • Can I Use HDMI and Thunderbolt Outputs At The Same Time? And Mac App Store Issues

I have a Mid-2011 Mac Mini. I am currently using the HDMI output with an HDMI to Digital Input for a dell monitor. If I wanted to have a second monitor, can I use the Thunderbolt output with a MiniDisplayport to VGA adapter? I know it may sound a little unclear, so if you need a clarification, pelase let me know.
Also, on the same macine, I am having trouble connecting to the Mac App Store. My internet connection is working, and I've tried going into the Keychain Access and there isn't anything with a blue plus. When I go to Store --> Sign In , the sign in widnow doesn't appear.
    Thanks
    Joey

Yes, that is exactly how to use dual monitors.
    Optionally:
if the second monitor has DVI input, use the MiniDisplay Port to DVI adapter.
or if it has Display Port input, then all you need is a straight MiniDisplay Port to Display Port cable.
In Quick Links try Account if Sign In does not work.

  • HT201303 App Store issue

I ain't purchasing anything from App Store , it's a free app which I m tryin to install and I get a error and asks me for my card details. . . Y????

Even if you are buying a free app, you will still need a redit card or debit card on file. Nothing will come out, you need it on account to verify your info

  • Strange App Store issue...

In the iPad section of the app store there used to be a "Quick Link" at the top right that took you to a section for iPad games. It is no longer there. When I click on the Hot Games icon (or pick "games" from the app store drop down menu) it takes me to a selection of iPhone games. I accidentally bought two iPhone games last night thinking I was in the iPad section. I can't find a way to get to the iPad-only section. Something has definitely changed in the last two days. Anybody else notice this?

If you are talking about iTunes app store tab, mine still has the 2 buttons for iPhone / iPad.
