It's a really bad idea to post your iPhone's serial number and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.
Any one device can create only three iCloud accounts. As you have apparently already created three accounts (or if it's a used phone the previous owner did) you cannot create any more one it. This is tied to the hardware, not the account, and there is no way round it.
You can create a new iCloud account on another iOS device or on a Mac, and then you will be able to sign into that on your iPhone.

I can't get into icloud. Get this message:" the maximum number of free accounts have been activated in this iphone". thanks for your help
Create the account on your computer or other Apple device. Once the account
has been created elsewhere, you will be able to use it on your iPhone. -
When I try to sign in with my Apple ID (that I use with AppStore) to iCloud on my iPad2,
I see this message:
''The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPad''.
So what shall I do?Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your mobile device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another device or computer. -

I have an apple id but when i want regester with icloud on my iphone I get the message "THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF FREE ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN ACTIVATED ON THIS IPHONE."
On the web of icloud when i try to sign in with apple ID i get the Message "THIS APPLE ID IS VALID BUT IS NOT AN ICLOUD ACCOUNT"
Hence i cant create Icloud account.
please let me know how i can resolve the above mentioned issue
Thanks.Apple limits iOS devices to three free iCloud accounts, & once that limit is reached on an iOS device you can no longer create a new account on that device. The solution is to create the account on a computer or another iOS device, then set that account up on your present iOS device.

Why do I see the message "the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iphone" when I entered password?

Hello,
Is it possible to delete the existing account of my Iphone 4s? How?
It always displays the message " The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iphone"
everytime i attempt to LOG-IN in Icloud. Each iOS device can create a maximum of three iCloud accounts.
You will need to create your iCloud account on another device. -
The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPad
We're using a number of iPad Minis in a lab environment to train students and volunteers.
We're receiving the message "The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPad" after three accounts have been created on an iPad. Since we have a new group of students every 4 to 8 weeks, we need to find a way to allow free accounts, and we don't want to require students to provide credit cards.
We've looked at the work around to go to iTunes, Quick Links and Redeem, but that's a little messy for hundreds of students a month.
Is there a way to remove the association between the free accounts and the iPad serial number?
A couple of notes:
1. We can set them up under AppleID.apple.com, but as soon as we try to load a Free app (all the apps we use are free), it prompts for a credit card number and won't let them continue.
2. There is not a "None" option on the credit cards, as least for the apps we're using. Is this option app specific, or is this a feature that comes and goes, based on Apple's changing policies?
3. The iPads are in DEP and are managed via Maas 360Why do the students need an account? Are they downloading apps?
You should be downloading apps by Mass 360. That means apps will be owned by mass 360 not individual student ids.
You may be in a bit of trouble. You need to get the students to go into there apple id and detach the ipads. Oh, well. Contact apple.
Somehow you are not on the golden path. Not sure how to advise you to get on it. I'm not sure how you get rid of the current apple ids.

Call enterprise support (866) 752-7753
I suspect you will have to go through this process to get rid of the ids

Please i need help i bought a second hand iphone 4 and when i try to log in icloud with my account i always get the message "The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone" how can i solve this issue? i dont have information about the other accounts used on this iphone.. please apple or someone help me.. what can i do.. and how can i do it.. i need to solve this problem cause i cant use icloud in this idevice. ill be really thankful to any body who can help me. thanks
You can create an iCloud account on another iOS device or a Mac running OS X 10.7.4 or later, then use this account on your phone. If you don't have one, you'll have to find a friend that will let you create one on their device as one of their 3 free accounts.

I keep getting a messages that says" the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this Ipod touch" I only have one account set up. What do I need to do?
Thank youWelcome to the Apple Community.
You should only get that message when you are trying to create a new account.
Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your mobile device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another device or computer. -

can not sign in to Icloud it keeps coming up the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this ipad 1st generation
Error Message: "Cannot sign in. The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this ipad/iphone"
I encountered the same problem when I purchased a used iPad for my elderly father and couldn't set it up for him. I called Apple Support...
Apple support could NOT help me. I was told there is no way to circumvent the 3 icloud setup limit on iOS devices at their end. I was told to use a different mac or iOS device that hadn't met the 3 x limit.
So, using MY iPad I tried to do that. At first I went to Settings/iCloud. But that is your PRIMARY iCloud account (and this was MY iPad and I didn't want to screw up my own settings!) which you don't want to trash.
After some online research (iMore to be exact) I discovered you can setup a secondary iCloud account using:
Settings/Mail,Contact,Calendars --> Add Acount... -->iCloud --> Get A Free AppleID --> Birthday Q then Security Question - then Name - then Get a free iCloud email address....
After you get to the new iCloud settings page at the end of the signup process - I deselected all the tabs which made the new account "inactive" on my iPad.
Next I went to the used iPad that had the initial problems, and tapped on Settings/iCloud. I signed in with the iCloud account that was newly created and was able to then get an iCloud account to work!
I left the new iCloud account showing on my own iPad (under Mail,Contacts,Calendars) as it is inactive. I am not sure what would happen if I deleted it - it may stop working on my father's iPad then. -
I tried to set up icloud on my iphone 4 and I get this message that "the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iphone". My iphone was used by someone else before I got it. How do I deactivate these accounts or overcome this problem?
You were trying to create a new Apple ID for icloud. But once the device reaches is max allowed to create IDs then you can't create more. That's your situation now. To create a new account you must use another device or computer.
You can't deactivate or turn back the clock. -
i bought a second 4s, when i try to make new ID, there is a message comes:cannot sign in the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone, is there any way to solve this problem?
Sure. You can do it on a Mac at the following website: https://appleid.apple.com/account

I have an iPhone 4S and when I try to add an iCloud account is gives me an error "Cannot Sign In, The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone." Is there any way to deactivate an account? I have one for myself, one for my family and one for my work. I had all three on my iphone and then I deleted my work. I wanted to get my own person @me.com account. It wouldn't let me create it from my iphone, so I created it from my Macbook Pro. I am trying to add it to my iphone, but it keeps giving me that error. If there is a way I can deactivate my work one so I can use my @me.com personal account?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your mobile device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another device or computer.
You should however be able to add existing accounts to your device, are you sure you aren't trying to create on rather than simply use an existing one.
