70 hours... no, it's not normal but it can't hurt your Mac to be running for that amount of time.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I've bought and downloaded music from itunes, but the ends of almost all my songs are cut off and will not play, how can I fix this? Most of the music cuts off abouthalf way through the song, then it skips to the next one. Itunes also says I have not purchased the album though it is listed under my purchased albums. It's incrediabley frustrating, please help.
go to the itunes store. select more in the bottom right select purchased. then press the cloud icon to DL striaght to the phone. Id use wifi. you can also DL into computer then synv over to phone.

Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
It says:

Hi I bought macbook Pro Retina 1.3 from India on the 29th March 2014 and currently I am in Norway. And suddenly I can see the inside display screen is broken. Thank you. I did contact Apple Norway and they already raised a case no based on which I shall go and hand over my mac pro retina 13inch. As per Apple Norway, as the case has been registered before the expiry of the warranty, Apple India to accept the warranty as well and get the set repaired under warranty. Thank you.

My early 2011 Macbook Pro on start up has wifi, but drops it soon after and never comes back, AHT shows nothing wrong. Multiple wifi's tried and same on all. I have also re-installed OSX from scratch and still happens.
I have the same problem. I have a white macbook 2010, with mavericks os. I just found my mac not powering on and then I tried to run it on safe mode by holding the shift button but it will turn off seconds after I let go of the shift button. I am able to access the desktop and use it while holding the shift button the whole time. It's a bit slower than before but I figured maybe it's because of holding down shift button.
I went to the Apple Store to have them look at my mac and I was told it's a failed hard disk. I wasn't told why he was able to conclude that a failed hard disk is causing the problem, I was just told to get a replacement. But the thing is when I ran Disk Utility it says, "disk appears to be okay." So I also feel like it's possible it's not a hard disk issue because it's also the first time it happened. My mac was working perfectly fine before all this.
Do you know anything else that could cause this problem? Were you able to find out what's wrong?

I just bought a new printer for my iMac version 10.7 Lion but I am able to install the software but for some reason I am not able to view the printer under system preferences to add the printer. It is connected with the USB cord!! It as if the printer does not show up in the add printer section under system prefernces!!
I checked the manufacturer and apple site to see if my printer is supprted and it said it was!! I am using the HP officedeskjet 4500 G510a-f (HP Officejet 4500 Desktop)!! Still does not show up under add printers please help!!

I just bought a new iPad and the apps I had previously purchased are in the app store under Purchased. They appear with a little box that says "Open". There is no download cloud so I can't click on them to download the apps to my home screen. Is there a way to move these apps to my home screen?
If they have 'open' next to them then that implies that they are already on your iPad - if you tap on the 'open' button does that open the app ? If it does then they are on your iPad. You've checked all your homescreens and tried a soft-reset to see if they show after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I just bought a new canon pixma ip 4920 printer... all other files print ok except when I try to print a playlist from I tunes it prints out backwards or a mirror image? How do you fix this?
JimUnfortunately changing the epub text size does not change the view at all. The images do not seem to change when the text size setting is changed.
The resolution of my machine is already at the max setting, so increasing the resolution is kind of impossible.

How do I route newly created images into my existing folder for 2014? Why did the system create a new folder which seems to be snatching all my new images?
Well, something is not making sense here, and I might have to spend some time thinking about it, or hopefully someone else will know exactly what the issue is.
The first screen capture you provided shows the Lightroom Folder Panel, with folders on the C: drive named 2012, 2013 and 2014 and then the problem second 2014 folder, followed by many folders whose name begins with "My Canon".
The most recent screen capture you provided shows the C: drive problem 2014 folder, but none of those other folders!
Can you show us a screen capture of your Windows Explorer C: drive folders? Particularly, can you expand the folder structure so that it shows where the 2012 and 2013 and original 2014 folders and the problem 2014 folder are located? If that takes 2 or more screen captures, that's fine. ALso, if you can show the "My Canon" folders, please do. -

as stupid as this question sounds when it says OSX 10.9 as the software version that means my new mac pro is actually already up to date with mavericks?
it wont allow me to update to mavericks which seems odd as its brand new. im assuming its already installed.
it says osx 10.9.
just checking what this means. Im in the process of buying office 365 for it and a mac mini so i wanted both machines to be the same so i dont have andy glitches. (tried pages but im a die hard word user for 20 years)

OS X 10.9 is OS X Mavericks, so you are already using OS X Mavericks. The problem is that your Mac is using a special OS X Mavericks version, so you may be getting a message saying that your computer is not compatible if you are downloading Mavericks from the Mac App Store. Ignore it.
Also, note that OS X 10.9.1 is the most recent version. To update your computer, open > Software Update. -

The icon shows that I am connected to my network with full bars. I use an Airport Time Capsule as my wireless router, purchased late last year, and it has worked well until now. Internet comes via cable modem (provided by the cable company), and can be patchy and quirky, so I am often rebooting the modem, but the airport wifi router typically does not need to be rebooted with the modem to regain connectivity.
My problem is that my time capsule has not backed up in more than 10 days. When I went to investigate this, it claims it cannot find the time capsule. when I open the airport utility on the laptop it claims there is no airport connected (although there is the green light next to the internet icon). I checked on this using the airport utility app on my iPad, and it has no problem identifying the router as an airport time capsule. I did update the firmware on the router using the app on the iPad, but it made no difference to the laptop.
First question: Do you think this is a problem with the Airport router or my MacBook?
Second Question: what can I do about it?
My MacBook feels like it is on its last legs anyway, so I am currently looking at replacements, but I really want to make sure it is backed up in case it dies before the new one arrives!! On the other hand, we have serious power issues here, and while the router is on a UPS, the UPS battery is basically fried and conks out in about 5 minutes, so the Airport is constantly being cycled on and off, which I worry could also be causing problems with the proper operation of the device (although the fact that it works with the iPad makes me think that is not the case... but I don't really know).

My MacBook pro 2009, won't turn on but the indicator light does.
Hey guys, I am computer illiterate as far as hardware goes, so I hope someone can help me. I have a 2009 MacBook pro, and today was the first day I have ever had a problem with it. It won't turn on, however the little power indicator light does come on and it stays on. The battery indicator is green. The keyboard isn't working because when I press on the caps lock button it doesnt turn green. I tried to charge my IPhone to it to see if it was getting enough power, and the IPhone didn't charge. So I'm guessing that my MacBook isn't getting enough power, could it be this simple or more severe.
It sounds like your MBP doesn't produce a startup chime that is an indication that the POST, Power On Self Test, has failed which means that it has hardware problems that are serious enough to prevent POST from completing successfully.
You are either going to have to do some serious troubleshooting to find out what part of the MBP has failed or take it to Apple and ask them to fix it for you. They will give you an estimate after they see it so that you can decide if you are going to have it fixed or not.

I have backed up all my photos which was important to me. I dont mind loosing everything except my contacts.
I did a restore yesterday but that didn't help.Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer where your contacts should be available with or without an iPhone or any cell phone which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair.
In addition, there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts over the air not involving your computer or involving it in addition to such as with an Apple iCloud account, Yahoo, Gmail, and Hotmail.
