Most of the people on these public forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here. I've asked the hosts to remove your email addresses from your post.
If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the phone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it.

I have used a @yahoo email address for 10 years as my apple ID when purchasing things. The biggest problem being, that at some point, yahoo decided to delete the email account and I can't use it. I would like to use my email addresses that I actually use (@me, @gmail), but I guess I used them at some point to log into gamecenter or some other useless apple thing. I know you can change the email associated with your account, but apple is showing that my emails are already in use, so I can't use them for this purpose.

Change the email you used in "gamecenter or some other useless apple thing" then change your AppleID.

Thanks Lawrence. I've spent over 3 hours on the phone/chatting to online support and none of it seemed to help as it all revolved around resetting emails etc but can't do any of it without my access to my old email. Now my phone won't take cloud because they advised to set up new apple ID and use that, but can't sign out of old one completely. Also doesn't help because my phone and laptop are set up on the old one. Thanks for the help.

I just did follow Varjak's instruction, but it refused. I was asked to enter my Apple ID's email address which unfortunately is the same as my Apple ID. I created two different passwords for each Apple ID n primary email address when I set up my I tune account in the first place, however.
I do remember my Apple ID password because I have used it every time I installed new apps, but I completely forgot my password for the primary email address because I've never used it at all! I have another email address which I actively use it for all my email. I want to change my primary email address which happened to be my Apple ID as well to the one I actively use.
Because of the explained problem, I can't log in to Icloud as I have been asked to verify by following the instruction sent to my primary email address.
I would really appreciate it if any one can help me solve this problem.

You cannot. Purchases are permanently tied to the AppleID and its account used when making the purchase. You cannot transfer purchases.
The reality is you do not own the apps on that iPad - the previous owner does. If you want them for yourself and want to be able to update them as needed, or re-download them as needed, you will have to delete the copies on the iPad, then purchase them with your own AppleID.

Hello, all...I recently purchased my nephew (I'm his guardian and am raising him) a brand new iPod Touch for his 13th birthday. I activated the device using my Apple ID (which I also use for my iMac, iPhone and Macbook Air). I'm thinking now about changing his iPod over to a different Apple ID to keep my iCloud "pure" (for lack of a better word), with just my stuff on it, and because his iPod is mysteriously picking up text messages to me that are supposed to go to (and which still do go to) my iPhone. Is it possible to change the Apple ID for just that one device, the iPod and, if so, how does one do that? I have several e-mail accounts/addresses that I could use instead of the one I use for my current Apple ID. I'm technology-challenged in the worst way, so your help/advice is greatly appreciated. CHANGE ID
The ID is used in the following locations and you have to change them.
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
Settings>iCloud
and Settings>iTunes and App store
You have to sign out of ID (for iCloud you delete the iCloud account from the iPod) and sign in with other ID.
Note the following are resolved if you use Family Sharing (iOS 8 and later):
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
If the iPod has iOS 7 or later then you have the enter the password for Apple ID presently sign in Settings>iCloud.
Also, a Restriction can be set (Settings>General>Restrictions) the prevents changing accounts

Sign out of your Apple ID on all your services & devices, especially iCloud on your iPhone.
Go to id.apple.com.
Log in with your Apple ID & password.
Then, edit your primary email address to the new email account.
Once you do so, a verification email will be sent to the new email address.
Go to your email account and verify the new primary email address.

I changed my primary Apple ID email on my computer. Now when I use my iPhone, a bubble constantly pops up asking me for the password for my old Apple ID email. The new and old passwords do not work. I don't know how to switch my Apple ID email/iCloud information on my iPhone.

If this is happening for iCloud on your iPhone (showing the old appe id) then it's possible you'll have to do these steps. I apologize if this sounds confusing:
go to appleid.apple.com and sign in to your current apple id (the one you just changed your old id's primary email address to"
then, change your primary address BACK to you old id (the one showing up on the iPhone) and click save at the bottom.
At this point, you'll go on your iPhone go to settings < iCloud and then tap "delete account" at the bottom. You'll want to make sure that you choose 'keep on iPhone' when you get the option.
At this point you should be signed out of the old id.
Now, you'll want to go back in to appleid.apple.com and now change your apple id BACK to what you wanted it to be. You'll hit save changes. Then, you'll need to check your email account to verify your apple id email address.
At this point, you should be able to sign back into your iCloud settings on the iPhone and shouldn't see that old ID popping up.
This is all assuming your changed your apple id and didn't just create a new one.

If you want to change your iCloud ID to another existing ID you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account.
Before deleting the account, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On iPad. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Reconfigure for new settings.
