My ipod was stolen and i keep getting messages that someone is downloading apps under it on my account. my icloud is saying the device is off is there any way to turn my icloud app on from a computer?

You can't turn it on remotely from your computer, but there are some steps you can take.  Read here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5668.

  • Today my iPod was stolen! But I also use iPhone, and both of them are registered in the same Apple ID!

Today my iPod was stolen! I also has the second Apple device (iPhone). Now I worry a lot cause what ever I did in my iPhone, it duplicated in my iPod (contacts, notes and so on!!!!!! How can I avoid this process now?????? All my private data are not saved now! I have changed all passwords in my accounts (email, ebay, Facebook), but how to fix it with Apple Messanger, Viber, WhatsApp???? Please, help me! Thanks in advance!

You can all have independent AppleIDs for iCloud or iMessage etc, but share the same one for iTunes Store / AppStore purchases.

  • My ipod was stolen, can I find out what the serial number of it is, based on looking at a connection history in my itunes? How would I do this? I didn't register it.

My ipod was stolen, can I find out what the serial number of it is, based on looking at a connection history in my itunes? How would I do this? I didn't register it. I think I found the guy selling it, just looking to confirm the serial number and I'll make a phone call to the police.
    Thanks

    is this possible?
    Yes.
Open iTunes on the computer you used to sync the iPod and select Preferences… from the iTunes menu.
Select the Devices pane. Position the cursor over any of its backups. The iPod's serial number will appear in a popup window.

  • How can i turn off my apple id if my ipod was stolen

my ipod was stolen and the person is using it because iwas logged in and now i need to figure out how to erase my apple id so that they cant use it. how can i do this?

They won't be able to use your apple ID as after a set ammount of time you have to enter your password to be able to purchase anything
To disable them from using stuff like email accounts on the device or you facetime simplely chnage your passwords

  • My Ipod Was Stolen, and now it won't restore!

Dear whoever gets this desperate post,
My ipod was stolen about 1 month ago. By some strange strokes of luck, I got it back from the police today. I am trying to restore it, thereby subsequently re-loading my songs on it. But I am stuck. I plug it in, it eventually notices it's there it gives this message:
iTunes has detected an Ipod in recovery mode. You must restore this Ipod before it can be used with iTunes.
Seemed natural enough, given what I was told about the dimwitted thieves. So I hit "restore." I wait for it, quickly getting the message that it has been restored, and I should wait until it restarts, then load the music on it. But it doesn't. I wait a minute or so, and it comes up with msg #1 (^ see above). I tried the instructions offered in the sticky topic at the top of the menu page, but even with the drive changed to I (I checked, it still is), nothing is improving. Help!

Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive and may keep iPod from mounting or songs may seem to disappear

Also this semi-recent interesting post by a user here for a work around when an iPod is in the "recovery mode" looping state...

  • Recently my ipod was stolen and had to replace my computer too now i can't find my music in itunes

recently my ipod was stolen and also had to replace my computer too i can't find my itunes purchased music

As provided, you can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception.  They are under no obligation to allow this, but you can try:

  • My ipod was stolen and i need to fin the serial code. how do i do that?

my ipod was stolen by some kid and i want to track it. and i need my serial code. how can i find it

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
    - Apple will do nothing
Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
    - iOS: How to find the serial number, IMEI, MEID, CDN, and ICCID number
The SN will only identify the iPod as yours if it is recovered.

  • My ipod was stolen and i need to know if there is a way to locate where its been registered or plugged in i have the serial number.

hello my name is marco and my ipod was stolen during school its a 4th generation 32gb. i need help in how to start a process to finding it or tracking it i also have the serial number if that helps, the phone number to apple where i can report it missing would really help! incase someone uses it and attempts to register it can i get the location to where this attempt was made i.p. adress etc. please i need help this ipod is precious to me and its something that i can't just forget about.

If you haven't turned on FindMyiPhone in settings (yes, even for the iPod), there's nothing you can do. Apple will not help you find it using the serial number.  If you did turn it on and the thief doesn't get into the iPod (you did have a passcode set, right?), then go to iCloud website using a browser, log in and try finding the iPod.  Unless the thief reset the device to factory settings, and if the wifi isn't off, it's location should show on the map.  After that it's up to you to report its location to the police.

  • My ipod was stolen and i need the serial number to denounce, but i dont have anything how i can get the number?

2 months ago my ipod was stolen for a plummbing men that come to my home, i want to make the report, but i dont have anything to find my serail number, I tried itunes, but didnt find a link that had lead me to my seral number, the old boxes is gone, please help me how can do it, and if i can recupere my i pod some day i had tresure information on it.

If your iPod was the last device that you connected to and synced with your iTunes library, there is a chance you might be able to get the serial # to show up in the Device Connectivity diagnostic report. See here for instructions on running this test.
iTunes for Windows: Device Connectivity Tests
If you have previously registered the device with Apple, you can view it's serial # in your list of devices you have registered under your Apple ID.

My Ipod was stolen and I need the serial number. How can I get this?

Finding serial number for a device - https://discussions.apple.com/message/18246553 - from box or backup file, not from Apple.

  • My ipod was stolen and i finnaly was able to get into my account after they changed the password is there a way i can fid the locaition of my ipod even if it has died ?

my ipod was stolen and i finnaly was able to get into my account after they changed the password is there a way i can fid the locaition of my ipod even if it has died ?

No.  The only way is if the FindMyiPod feature was already set up and wifi is on.  However, that can be defeted by turning the iPod off or restoring it. If they have access to the iPod then can just turn the feature off.
If the iPod off/battery drained how would you expect there t be a way of finding it?
    Apple will not help.

The serial number is not required and would not help

    No app is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    iCloud: Find My iPhone
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
