HT4914 Can more than one icloud account share the same itunes match account?

I have itunes match on my ipad, iphone and two pc's, my wife has her own itunes account on her iphone and her laptop. Is it possible for her to share my itunes match account so that I only have to worry about one itunes library?

can my wife also access the same iTunes Match library
Yes.
using her - different iTunes account login details.
No because iTunes Match is tied to your account.
Try this on her iPhone...
Settings > Store.
Tap her acount name, log out then log in with your iTunes account.
Now Settings > Music.
Turn on iTunes Match (it should ask for your account password).
She should then be able to go back to Settings > Store, log out of your iTunes account and log back in with her iTunes account.

  • Thunderbolt conundrum: Can more than one device operate from the same port?

Hello! I am using a macbook pro with one thunderbolt output. The thunderbolt is being used on a Universal Audio Apolo Quad analog/digital audio recording device. I would also like to add a second video screen to my operation as well. Can more than two devices be ran (via a splitter of some sort) from the Thunderbold port? If not, are there any workarounds?
    Thanks!

  • Oracle 11.1.0.6 - Can more than one database work of the same installation

I am in the process of setting up 3 production 11.1.0.6 databases in a RAC Linux RH4 environment (approx 40GB each in size), question is can I get all 3 databases to work of the one Oracle Database installation i.e. can all three separate database work of the same set of binaries and from the same Oracle_Home?
As far as I know the only items that will be different of those values in the tnsnames and listener files.
    Thanks

Lets back up and clarify terms.
A 3 node RAC cluster has one (1) and only one (1) database. Three (3) instances but only one (1) database.
If you are talking about something else you need to be very clear in your description.
Assuming one database and three instances the listener and tnsnames files should be identical. And, as Oracle creates all of this during dbca installation, why is it a concern?

  • What are the consequences of having more than one iphone connected to the same itunes on 1 computer?

I'm wondering if there are any weird problems or glitches to be expected when 2 iphones are connected to the same itunes on a single computer.  My wife and I both have iphone 5's with separate apple IDs.  We only have one computer with one user account so both iphones are signed in to the same itunes.  This seems to be a totally normal thing to do.  Both phones appear when I open itunes and itunes lets me choose which phone I want to look at the information for, sync, etc.  However I have noticed some unusual behavior.  For example, sometimes when I am checking apps or installing new apps on my iphone, even when I am away from home and our computer, her apple ID will show up.  I have never entered her ID into my phone.  Are there any other quirks I should know about and is there anything else to watch out for when we both have our phones connected to one computer in this way?

You need to create a user account for your wife (or yourself depending on who has the current user account). When syncing, each of you should sign in as a separate user, login to iTunes and then sync. I had this problem when my sister got an iPhone. When we did her initial sync, everything on my iPhone showed up on hers. Apple gave me this solution.

  • Can more than one Mac backup on the same Time Machine?

My husbond and I have one USB HD connected to an Airport Express router and we both want to back up our Macs on the same HD.
There is space enought (300Gb). But it seems like after my Mac is set up and running TM, his Mac will not event connect to the disk. He can see the disk, but in TM, when he trys to connect, the "on-Off"- button switches to "Off".
Is there a limitation on one user only?
    Thanks for any help!!
    Sitara

There is no single-user limitation to Time Machine.
Are you saying that you can see the TM backup volume in the Finder, you start up TM Preferences, press the Change Disk button, select the TM backup volume, and when you press Use For Backup, the TM slider turns off? And you can't turn it back on?

  • Can more than one iPhone sync to the same Calendar and Contacts List?

My partner and I are thinking about buying iPhones, but before we do so I want to make sure that we can both sync to the same Calendar. So, for example, if she makes plans with friends (and updates her iPhone Calendar accordingly) I also want the appointment to be entered into the Calendar of my iPhone when I next sync it. Has anyone done this? Is it possible?

I sync using mobile me - over the air, my wife syncs via itunes, we keep several calendars in ical.
You can look through the manual as well. It may help you figure out what iphone can do.

  • HT204053 can I have more than one iCloud account?

I have a personal iCloud account, but would like to set up an iCloud account for my business that I can share between my associates. A tech at the appple store suggested it, but now I'm unsure if or how to do it. Any suggestions?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Yes you can use more than one iCloud account, however you can only have one primary iCloud account.
Secondary accounts can be added at system preferences >mail, contacts & calendars. Note, secondary accounts can only use mail, contacts, calendars and cannot utilise things like photo stream.

No, but as mentioned in my answer to your other post, you can share the same iTunes ID with your family and maintain separate iCloud accounts with separate IDs.

Can I have more than one iCloud account?

One option is to start backing up one of them to your computer using iTunes instead.  To do this, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and turn off iCloud Backup.  After that the device will start automatically backing up to your computer when you sync it with iTunes.
Another option is to migrate your iPad, along with a copy of the iCloud data to a different account.  To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep on it to the camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep on your iPad, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes the account from your iPad, not from iCloud; your phone won't be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iPad and choose Keep on My iPad when prompted.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create the new account and choose Merge to upload your data to the account.  The disadvantage of this is that once your phone and iPad are on different accounts, they will no longer sync data with each other using iCloud.

  • How can I set up more than one iCloud account on my pc?

I would like more than one photo stream to save to my pc.  I have an iCloud setup up on my pc so that my pc can save the photo stream pictures from an ipad and iphone (each have the same id).  I also have a second iphone with a separate icloud/apple id, and I would like pictures from that photo stream to be saved to the same pc.  Is this possible to do?  I don't see any options to 'add an acount' in my iCloud control panel.

Any one user account on the Mac can have more than one iCloud account signed into, but only the first one set up will sync Calendars and Contacts. You would probably be able to enter the second account's server details manually into the Mail application to that it would access both accounts: setup details here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864
However the best way to do this is certainly for each of you to have your own user account on the Mac, setting up Fast User Switching to prevent having to keep logging in and out - then each account can set up the owner's iCloud account and do all the syncing and other facilities.

  • How can I set up more than one iCloud account on a single Mac?

I just want to start with the very basics. My wife and I each have an iCloud account. We both want to check our iCloud e-mail in the Mail Application without user switching. Is this possible? How do we set it up? Is it also possible to each manager our own calendars (iCal) and contacts (Address Books) without user switching? Put aside all iTunes issues for now. Just worried about iCloud: two iCloud IDs. One Mac.

  • Contacts & iCloud: can you have more than one iCloud account syncing with Contacts on the Mac?

I want to set up a shared iCloud account for multiple users in a (very) small office environment, where several new iOS devices and, for the moment, two Macs (2012 13" MacBook Pro and 2013 Mac Mini) will be able to read/write to a shared Contacts account – and at the same time maintain a second, personal iCloud account linked to the same Contacts app on one machine, which account's contacts data will remain private and inaccessible to the other Macs/devices which are likewise using the shared account.
Can this be done? (I.e., can Contacts app on a Mac include separate iCloud accounts?)
If so, how to set it up?
    Thanks

Thanks for your answer. There's no problem with others accessing that Mac – it's used by one person only – my question is can you add a second iCloud account to Contacts. Over the past two days I had tried to add the shared iCloud account to Contacts and kept getting failures. But maybe the server was down or the ISP was weird: your response assumes it can be done and so, to my embarrassment, I tried again just now and violá, it's done. Thanks again.
P.S. Finding a simple presentation that makes clear you can have more than one iCloud accounts syncing to Contacts at the same time was very hard to find, either from Apple or others on the web. Maybe I don't know how to search, but they could do with a clear explanation of this for the uninitiated.

  • Can I register my daughters iphone to more than one icloud account?

Can I register my daughters iphone to more than one icloud account so if she can't find it either her dad or myself can use find your iphone without sharing our account information?

Not really. Each device can only work with one Apple ID at a time. If it were lost or stolen you could not change the Apple ID on it, so there would be little point.
iDevices are intended for use by one person with one Apple ID and one iTunes account, and synced to the users own computer or user account on a shared computer. They are not multi-user or multi-account devices. This protects the users security and privacy.
