I have Just upgraded my mac from Itunes 11.0 to itunes 11.02, this issue occured within hours of the updated.
It seems to occur about every couple of hours for me, I can still access the apple store, but music match just dies with the message: "iTunes Match has encountered an error. Please choose Sign Out and then Sign In from the Store menu and try again."
As it takes a good ten minuites for itunes
If this is also occuring in Itunes 11, the previous Discussions are probably not relevant.
Itunes 11 has had significant changes applied, so it would be reasoble to assume this is not the same fault and Apple have some how broken Itunes again.
I might try to downgrade to itunes 11.0, as it looks like music match faults are not high on apples priorities, it looks like took them almost a year to fix this fault last time it occured.

You are looking at the menu options at the top of iTunes, and not on the iTunes store home page e.g. this screenshot is from a Mac's iTunes :

iTunes quit unexpectedly during the download of a movie. When I click on that movie now I get the following message: "You have already purchased this item but it has not been downloaded. To download it, select Check For Available Downloads from the Store menu."

I had 6 apps showing updates, the 6 badge icon shows on the App Store on my iPhone and, having run them all, the 6 apps have two copies each on my iPhone: one that is the old version of the app and will not run and the other is a faded version of the app with an empty progress bar on the icon. Click those and you get an error message about connecting to iTunes, etc. as described in the article I linked to above.
It gets stranger than this. If I install a completely NEW app, the 6 that are stuck mid-update heal themselves and appear with the new version only, however now completely different apps (Hold Em for instance - which I did not update and didn't need an update) will not launch "app name Cannot Launch" message comes up.

I had to take my hp back to factory setting and reinstall itunes, when I tried to use Itunes match it said i had to Deauthorize all my computers. I am using the same computer and desperately need access to my music.
When you reset to factory settings, the computer is de-authorised.
In iTunes menu Store > View Account > sign in > App Store > Deauthorise All.
Once done, authorise this computer iTunes.
Note: you can only do that once a year. -

If you're using iTunes 11 click on the box icon in the top-left corner to see the " Show Menu Bar "
and from the Menu Bar select Store...
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.
When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, thehen click Authorize. -
I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite and this new "feature" appeared. I often have several email addresses that contain the same set of characters. I just type the first few characters and then select the appropriate email address from the dropdown menu that appears. But if I hit return afterwards to enter another email address, the first address gets switched back automatically to the first one that appeared in the dropdown menu. The more characters I type, the more accurate it is, but it totally defeats the purpose of autofill if I have to type the entire email address! Anyone else having this problem? And can you guys please fix it? If you select something from the dropdown menu, it should stay selected.

I've installed itunes twice. It worked the first time but after I restarted my computer it kept giving me this message: Itunes was not correctly installed. Please reinstall itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127). What's wrong?

Hi i haven't updated my iDVD seen 2005 and to get the new one i need 7.0.4 first and i downloaded it from the apple website and when i go into the updating process its says "An eligible iDVD application was not found in the location /Applications." why
Because you need to buy iLife 08 or newer on DVD first. If you're using iDVD 05, you probably have a PowerPC Mac and can't use iLife 11.

ATtempt to power off your device and power it back on, if that doesn't work reset all settings should resolve it for you

I have enabled homesharing in iTunes (from the advanced menu) and then used the same details when enabling homesharing on the Apple TV (settings > computers), but I still can't stream my itunes to ATV. Does anyone have suggestions to resolve?

i Have had no issues with the setup until recently.
However I think the hard drive is starting to fail as it keeps on losing the wireless connection and gas been stuttering a lot on playback. -
How do you do this? From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer. there is no option to Authorize This Compyter from the iTunes "store"!!!???

The blank pop up began as I tried to access "special characters" from the finder menu. I restarted, turned off and restarted and it did not work. It interferes with any application because I cannot work fast. Every new step takes a few seconds longer such as saving, finding text, check spelling and many more. I am desperate to solve this. Consuelo CorretjerUse the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.
