    The iPhone remembers information about previous contacts.
    Complelely independently, you have a Contacts app with a contacts list.  It sounds like your contacts list has 3 names on it.  You need to add a few names.

    I am very frustrasted with trying to get my iophne 5c contacts list to sync with my icloud contact list.   The new contacts I add to my iphone do not show up in my icloud contacts.  What am I doing wrong?

    If your default account was set to iCloud in settings, it should be created in the iCloud account regardless of how you create it on the phone.
    Try adding a new test contact using the contacts app, then go to icloud.com from your computer and see if it appears there now.
    Also, what accounts were listed in the Default Account setting on your phone besides iCloud?  (Don't post your email addresses, just tell me what providers were listed there, such as On My iPhone, Gmail, Yahoo, Exchange, etc.)

  • Why can't I get secure mailing lists to work in IMS 5.1

    I am having problems getting secure mailing lists to work at all. I
    have been battling with iPlanet support and have gotten no where. Evan
    though a local user or a remote email user is listed as allowed senders
    in the IDA, it still will not let either send a message to the list. I
    checked to make sure that the allowed senders showed up in the LDAP
    entry as mgrpallowedbroadcasters and they are. I evan set up a test
    server from scratch and ran into the same issue. Each time an allowed
    user tries to send they get the following error:
    SMTP Error: 5.7.1 you are not allowed to use this list:
    [email protected]
    Anyone else seeing these issues?? Does anyone what could be going
    wrong??

    I'm not sure what is happening, but here are some tips to help debug the problem.
    Put MM_DEBUG=5 in your option.dat file and recompile/restart dispatcher. Put master_debug slave_debug in the defaults section or only appropiate channels and then recompile/restart dispatcher.
    The resulting logs should give you information about just why it is failing.

  • Not able to scroll up or down or touch the screen and go to another website. Does anybody have an answer to this problem? I did have this function previously.

    Not able to scroll up and down or touch the screen to go to another website.  I can see everything on the page but the screen darkens a bit but everything is visible.  Just no touch screen function.  Can anyone provide me with a solution to this problem?

    Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!

  • Can't open the page ---- because can't establish a secure connection

    I recently upgraded to 10.4.8 and had no apparent problems.
    There may, however, have been one resulting problem in that when I try to open one of my bookmarked locations, I get a message
    "Safari can’t open the page --- because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server"
    I tried emptying the cache and that didn't help.
    Any thoughts ?

  • HT203171 THIS ARTICLE IS ONLY HELPFUL IF YOU"D NEVER USED A LAPTOP TRACK PAD IN YOUR LIFE....  What do you do when NONE of the everyday issues (damp, dirty, oily , jeweled hands or track pads) apply???

    I have 2 Mac Book Pros that I use simultaneously.  One that I'm using at the moment to type this and another that seems to have a ghost running the trackpad at the moment.  Of done several restarts and shut downs including (shift-'L' button-Option-Command-Power) and (Command-Option-'P' button-'R' button).  Within 5 minutes everything seems to go back to a frenzied curser.  Please HELP!!!

    In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
    That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
    Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
    Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
    While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

  • When I put a search phrase into the address and search field, I get a page that says 'Safari can't open the specified address' followed by a page full of letters and numbers.  It works fine if I type in the full address but not if I want to search.

    Can someone please help me figure out what the issue is.  It was working fine unitl today.  I'm just hoping it's not a virus of some sort.  Thanks!

    I have just downloaded itunes to my laptop and requested the English (United States) version.

    If your device is signed into an old ID of yours that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
    If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID.  If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
    Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.)  Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID).  Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library).  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

    Hi,
    I feel that "HR: Security Profile" option is not set properly, BZ of that screen is errors out.
    Please check the following Profile Options
    HR: Security Profile -- Enter the sec profile name which is business Group name
    HR: Business Group -- Your Business Group Name
    Note: If you set the HR: Security Profile optional first, then system will sets the HR: Business Group profile option too automatically.
