HT5517 How to play games on Apple TV

HOw do u play games on Apple TV using a iPad mini

Which iPad do you have? Mirroring requires iPad 2 (or later)
If your iPad is compatible then ensure airplay is enabled on ATV and that both devices are on the same network
Then double tap home button, swipe (left to right motion) to bring up volume/brightness controls and airplay. Tap airplay, select ATV and toggle ON mirroring

  • How to play games by myself in Game Center?

Can anyone help me in figuring out how to play games in the Game Center on my daughter's ipod touch?  She got the 5th generation Ipod touch and when she goes to play games in the Game Center, it asks her to pick someone to play with.  How can she play the games in the Game Center by herself?  I like how the Ipod touch 4th generation is set-up for this feature, instead of having to go to the Game Center to play certain games.  Thank you :-)

It depends upon the game. Some games require another player but many do not.

  • How to play games on my Apple Mac desktop?

I recently bought on-line a Apple Mac computer that I call the space ship becasue of its design.  I actually love the design but am unable to download anything that will allow me to play games on Facebook, such as Bingo Blitz, Criminal Case, adn Super HD Bingo.  Any syggestions.  What download can I use.  Everything i find is for IPOD.  I also could use an instruction manual for this Mac OS X, 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5,  pan to look on line, but thought I would ask.  Any help would be happy to get.  Thanks Rose

Seems you bought a very old Mac and it is already at the end of its life.
The G-5 processor can't be upgraded and the OS is from 2007:

How many machines from 2007 can play "modern" games?

how to play dvd on my computer on apple tv

Welcome to the Apple Community Jorge.
Firstly you will need your Mac to support Mirroring...
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). You can see which Mac you have and which operating system you are using by selecting 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your Mac and selecting the 'More Info' button.
AirPlay Mirroring from a Mac also requires a fairly robust network.
Then you will need to use a 3rd party DVD player such as VLC since the Apple DVD Player software doesn't permit AirPlay Mirroring.

  • Somebody help me out here!!!!!!! I cant figure out how to play games on mac

evertime i put a pc game in it asks me to look for a file to open it and its onlys the system profiler and it dont work how the **** do you play games on the mac book pRO!!somebody help me out it!!!!

The issue is that you are attempting to run software written for one operating system (Microsoft Windows) on another (Mac OS X). That doesn't work... However, that doesn't mean you're out of luck:
    1. Many popular PC games also happen to be available native for the Mac. Check if the particular games you want to play have a native Mac version. If they do, using that is best since it's easier to install and use and will perform best.
    2. Failing that, you can actually run Windows on the Mac in order to run the game. There are two supported methods to do this: dual-booting (selecting which environment to use when you start the computer), or virtualization (running Windows as an OS X application).
For games, particularly ones heavily reliant on 3D graphics, dual-boot is currently the best option. This is accomplished using an application called "Boot Camp" (search the Apple site) to setup disk space for the two operating systems and installing a menu that appears when you boot where you can select which operating system to run. Any Windows game will run in this way (assuming you otherwise meet the hardware requirements of the game).
The alternative is virtualization, and there are two packages for that: Parallels and VMWare Fusion (in beta testing). Both will eventually support hardware accelerated 3D, but its not really functional in either yet. However, these applications run Windows as an application under Mac OS X, meaning that you can be running the Windows and Mac OS X applications at the same time (as opposed to Boot Camp, where you have to select at boot time which to run).
Note that all of the approaches require you to have a copy of Windows to install (preferably a legally licensed one). Most people don't have a copy to use since they receive a hardware-locked OEM version with their computer that isn't transferable.
The advice above is applicable to Linux as well.

  • New update how to play music on apple tv

I just updated my iPhone 4 and now can't figure out how to play music or videos on my apple tv

iPhone 4 can AirPlay audio just fine, I'd forgotten that it can't do screen mirroring.  It's been so long since I had my iPhone 4 but I'm certain that some apps will allow video output over AirPlay (which is not the same as screen mirroring).  The stock iOS Photo and Video apps could stream pictures and video to ATV, but true mirroring of everything you see on the screen is not supported on iPhone 4.  It isn't iOS 7 that took away this capability, it is a capability that has always been limited with iPhone 4 (and earlier).
If you are sure that your old 3G can output video over AirPlay, which specific apps?  Those same apps should work on the iPhone 4, even with iOS 7.

    Flash player ???

Flash player is not supported and probably never will be : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Also Adobe have failed to create a version that works on iOS devices and have apparently now given up trying.
Depending on what sites you are trying to access, you might find that some of them (probably more so if they are news sites) have their own apps in the App Store which might let you get some of the content that you want (and there is the built-in YouTube app). Also there are browsers such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin which 'work' on some sites - but judging by the reviews not all sites.
If you want to play flash games then you are probably out of luck if you want to play on-line though the iSwifter app might work on some of them, but again some flash games have app versions in the store (I think that a few of the Facebook games have app versions, some of which link in to your facebook account).

  • How To Play Game On Multiple User Screens?

My son has a game called Age of Mythology that we recently installed on my iMac. He has been playing it for a few days on his own user screen. Today my other son wanted to play it on his user screen, but he got a message that said:
Cannot create log file. Must make sure that you have full file rights on the directory you installed Age of Mythology into, and that you have available disc space.
So I went back to my first son's screen name, because I knew it had been working for him. I clicked on the icon and then Get Info. At the bottom of the window that popped up there is an area that says Ownership & Permissions. I goofed around with these settings a little. I had to click on a padlock and enter my name and password as the administrator and when I got through changing some of the settings it asked if I really wanted to do this because it couldn't be undone. I clicked yes (which maybe I shouldn't have done), and now the game only plays for my first son on his user screen. It won't even play on mine and I'm the administrator!
Is there a way to get this game to play on everyone's screen names so there won't be arguments later about who is using who's screen?
One more thing: I installed the game while on my screen and I installed it in Applications.
    Thanks for any help...

    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   20" 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

To do this you need to log on to the screen where you have permissions. Then navigate in Finder to the Age of Mythology app cmd+click, choose get info. scroll down to read write permissions and instead of your son's name choose system. Close the get info window and log in to another user (i.e. your other son's and open up the game to play and it should then play. This works on all types of files (text, video, audio..).

  • How to play any/all apple devices on outdoor speaker

What is the best way for us to play songs through our apple devices on the outdoor speakers through the setup we have which is recieve/amplifier connected with a wire to our outdoor speakers.
Right now we play the radio and plug in our ipods and such to the reciever.
    would be nice to:
    1. control the songs from our devices in another room if there is an ipod attached to the system.
    2. play songs from any device to the speakers.
    3. let guest people with their own device tap into the system and play a song.
I assume some wireless sytem is needed, or via airplay?  or somehow to be able to control the songs on one device from another?

    Hello, doobias123!
This can be achieved by connecting either another Apple TV or an AirPort Express to the reciever/amplifier that is connected to your speakers.

As apple does not support Adobe flash how do I watch youtube other  videos and play games?

There is a YouTube built-in app for watching those videos. If you can't find the app (it can't be deleted), then check that it's not hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > YouTube.
