Before using iBooks, members of my family were able to share their books through "Shared Devices" in iTunes. Once I moved my library to iBooks, books are not available to other members of my family. Is there a means to share books on local networks with other authorized users?

Thanks for the link. I looked at this and tried it and it sync'd my wife's iBook with my account, so she now had my Apple ID logged into her iBook. I'd like to be able to share my iBooks with her, but add them to her library as we were able to do with Home Sharing in iTunes. I want her to be able to use her Apple ID with iBooks, but be able to read some of the books I buy on my account. Does that make sense?

Create a playlist containing the music you want to share. Then select Preferences in iTunes and from there select the Sharing tab. Turn on "Share my library on my local network" then click on "Share selected playlists" and click on the playlist(s) you want to share.

Why can I connect to my home network with my iPhone 5 in one room, but when I move to another it is 'unable to connect to the network'

At home, I can connect my iPhone 5 to my home wifi network with no problems, as long as I stay downstairs.
As soon as I go upstairs my phone disconnects from the network. I can still see the home network it in the available network lists (with full signal strength), but when I try to reconnect I get an 'unable to connect to the network message'
If I move back downstairs it reconnects
This has only started happening in the past week or so
I've tried to forget and rejoin the network, but this doesn't work
I reset my network settings on the phone. This worked for a couple of hours and I could connect to the wifi upstairs, but now it won't connect again.
Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this?

Sounds like your wi-fi signal strength has degraded. Try rebooting your wi-fi router, or get it serviced.

Can DPM share a remote SQL Instance with other System Centre Products?

I am about to install and start implementing DPM 2012 R2 and have restricted access to SQL instances and the creation of. Can DPM share a SQL instance? Mainly can it share an instance shared with other System Centre products?
Does it really need a dedicated DB engine and Reporting services instance?

No, Each DPM server requires it's own dedicated instance name. You can have a single remote SQL server, but with seperate instances for each DPM server, or other System Center products.
Make sure that names of your instances does not contains an underscore in the instance name.

When creating a DVD face in Photoshop 13 my save options are limited to .PSE and .PDF. Why can I not save as a jpeg or other file format? This was never an issues in Elements 10 (my previous version).

I just recently purchased Elements 13. I am in the process of creating a DVD face for a video. The design is complete and I would like to be able to save it as a JPEG so I can use it in another program that prints my DVD's. The problem is that it only allows me to save the file as at PSE or a PDF. No other options are available. Why is this? I upgraded from Elements 10. In Elements 10 I have never had a problem saving this type of project as a JPEG. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ANSWER FOUND!
Once I finished composing my question I went back and spent some time to figure out the problem. Rather than choosing the "save as" option, which doesn't work, or attempting to choose "export" (grayed out), the correct option is to choose "export creation", which is near the very bottom of the initial drop down options. That works! I still think it would make sense to have it as an option in the "save as" area.

You can share them this way:
Suppose you and the person you're trying to share with (I'll call her Jane) have two separate computers with two separate Apple IDs. Each of those two computers have a current version of iTunes.
You could copy your book from your version of iTunes over to Jane's. How you do that depends on what types of computers you have, etc.
So now your book is sitting in Jane's iTunes. But you own the book, so Jane cannot access it. What you have to do, then, is authorize Jane to access the book you bought.
You do that on Jane's computer in iTunes by going to Store > Authorize This Computer in iTunes' menu. Enter your Apple ID and password there.
Then once Jane syncs her iPad to her iTunes, she will have access to your book.

Hi, I have a colleague whom I'd love to help out by sharing a form I've created. The form took me 8 hrs to program and I don't want her to have to do the same thing (or worse - me log in to her account and create the form). The form I have is pretty perfect as it is - can I share the form I created with her.
Note: I don't want to give her access to my form's submitted data or anything like that.

What you want is share the design template.
Open the form
From the Design Tab go to 'File > Export Design File...'
Save the *.FCDT file on your system
Email that file to your colleague
You college can them import that FCDT file from her FormsCentral dashboard ('File > Import Design File...').
Only the form design will be shared and not the data.

I'm reluctant to wade into this but I noticed that if Mactracker is to be believed, the Early and Late MacBook Pro have the same Model Identifier, which would suggest that the SL installer for the Early MBP might see the Late MBP, which came with Lion, as close enough for government work. While the SL installer wouldn't necessarily be 100% suitable for the Lion Machine and probably wouldn't allow installing over the existing Lion partition, I can imagine it working on a clean partition or external USB or Firewire drive. A 10.6.8 combo updater could then configure the SL installation for the MBP it's actually on.
