I went to the Audio store to see about getting a surround sound and the salesperson asked me why I wasn't using AirPlay, he said it was better than the Bluetooth, better quality. So I do have AirPlay on my Sony and I installed the app on my iPhone 5 but they can't find eachother.......when I try looking for my iPhone on my receiver it does not show it. The Sony display works through my TV, the set up screen is there but it says no devices found. Like I said, the Bluetooth finds the iPhone and works ok, but the AirPlay does not.....looking at the manuel it says that the AirPlay will recognize my device (iPhone 5) but it does not..........

You don't. Since you have an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.

My 16 gig iPod Nano 7th gen was put of power. I connected it to the computer and it started to turn on (the apple appeared in the middle of the screen). Then left it two minutes and the computer went into sleep mode. My iPod nano had gone off and now it will not turn on, or connect to the computer, so i cannot charge it. I am not sure if it is a problem with the usb cable. Yes, Mirror Lockup is one possibility. Also, if you have Long Exposure Noise Reduction enabled and are taking shots of 1 second or longer, the camera has to take two shots. First, it takes a "regular" shot, then a second,"blank" shot is made with the shutter closed. This second shot is then used to identify noise, which is subtracted from the first image. The second shot is the same length of time as the first one... so if you were making a 4 second exposure, all together it will take 8 seconds to make both shots when LENR is enabled. If you cancel the second shot before it completes (by turing off the camera or removing the battery), neither image is saved... so it seem like no shot was taken. Another setup that makes you press the shutter release repeatedly is bracketing.... There's exposure bracketing and white balance bracketing. Exposure bracketing allows you to set a range of exposures which will be taken, probably 3 total on your camera, and I think you have to press the shutter release three times for them all to be taken. Sometimes the shutter release button gets "gummed up" with finger oils, dust and grime, with use and over time. That can cause delays and problems when trying to take a shot. There are several places online that show how to clean it yourself (Google it... but be careful if you decide to try to do it), or you can send to Canon (they'll replace the button entirely), or have an independent repair shop clean it. ***********

You may well have a POP Yahoo account, in which case deleting emails on one device does not delete them everywhere else. POP accounts do not provide sync services like IMAP accounts (e.g. Apple mail). Usually, a POP account offers settings so that when you delete an email locally, that will also delete it from the server; however, if this email has already copied down to another device, that email will not delete from that other device. Or you can set a POP account so that deleting on a device will not delete from the server, thus all other devices will eventually get the email as well.

I am trying to download Firefox to my new computer. Every attempt to download brings up the Program Compatibility Assistant at the end of the download. I click reinstall using recommended settings but it does not fix the problem.

Thank you, the step where I went to tools, options and then selected a product for the application worked. It was a problem with .pdf files. I don't understand how all of a sudden it changed from what had worked all along, but, I changed it back from xps viewer to adobe and all is working fine.

When I run the installation utility nothing happens. I can save the file to the desktop or run it directly within another browser but Firefox does not install--the wizard never even initiates.

Earlier this week Firefox 4.0 crashed. Unsure what happened I elected to reinstall. I downloaded a fresh copy of Firefox from the website and reinstalled. That was a disaster. Firefox was running about 1/20th the speed of Explorer.
Figuring I had some residual problem from the crash I performed a full uninstall, eliminating all personal data and customization, to again install. I have now downloaded the installation utility eight times and not one has worked. Once the program finishes extracting it closes. The installation wizard never launches. I have tried both saving to my local disk and running from within the browser and I get the same result.

Firefox is only a browser; it doesn't have the ability to install third party apps other than those specifically written for it like plugins and extensions.
So after you choose "Save file", click the "Downloads" button in the toolbar and then right click the downloaded file and choose "Open Containing Folder", or "Open File Location" to take you to the folder where it can be found. See screenshot for an example of what the Download button looks like.
From there, double click it to start the installation.
To update Firefox, click Help | Check For Updates in the version you're running right now. The upgrade will subsequently take place automatically.
N.B. If the file you downloaded didn't come from a bona fide source, always right click it and choose to scan it with your anti-virus app first before you run (double click) it. That way, you avoid installing malware which piggybacks onto another app.

You have an iPad2 and that model has the camera. Do you have the camera app on the iPad?
Did you search for the app in Spotlight? Swipe down from the middle of the home screen to reveal the Spotlight Search and type FaceTime into the search field.

connect your ipad to itunes and click on the ipad and go to its app tab on the list check if pages name is checked or not if not check it and try syncing again it will install the app
