HT5559 Java SE 6 cannot be activated again..

rr
The Apple support article HT5559 is easy to follow and clear, tried, but it just does not work.
Javaws still starts the JDK 7
(which can be checked using jvisualvm)
For our customers it is a big problem due to a bug in Java7 on OSX.
Right now i tried to start different javaws files (e.g. /System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle/Contents/MacOS/javaws OR /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/javaws  )
with no success..
e.g. As brute force test renaming the folder  /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_09.jdk/ should cause no harm (it is Oracle's JDK7, right..) but it stops javaws functioning. Therefore some reference still points to it (after HT5559). Why, which?
So  we would be  happy to figure out  how to re-activate JDK6 on OSX.
Thanks in advance for any idea!!
Best regards
Tamas (=Thomas)

Check out the Java for Mac FAQs. You might have to uninstall the JDK first. Between it and the Apple doc, you should be able to sort things out.

  • Wifi cannot be activated again

    hi,
I have been reading through the posts and it seems as though wifi issues are pretty common with the yoga. Once my wifi works, it seems to be performing well. However, I have the issue that the wifi just gets completely lost. when you go into airplane mode and then switch back, the wifi remains simply off. I have managed to come around by disabling the network card in the device manager and then reenabling it. but as of today, the wifi connection will not come back at all. It basically remains disabled without a chance of enabling it.'

Did anyone of you have a similar issue? Is Lenovo aware of those type of problems?
Thanks a lot for your input. Since I am travelling heavily, I would hate to bring the device into service.

Wow, I like stack traces ;-)
No indication what you try to do, no information about your environment either.
What I see is that the URL you use to start the app (if it is an app) has a suffix '.jspx' in it. This is normally not the case for Fusion Web apps. And the 'faces' part of the url is missing. So try http://127.0.0.1:7101/service_method_app-ViewController-context-root/faces/servicemethodTimo
@John: same idea :-) You beat me again...

I had the developer preview installed. Never had to update to the release version of the OS. Now, the preview has expired, and I cannot use my phone because my iTunes reads my OS as being current, but my iPhone cannot active. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

If I Google for Michael Superczynski, first match tells "Michael Superczynski's Profile : Apple Support Communities". It in fact does a lot of work there even if not paid.
And yes we do not have disagreement about "official apple developers". Problem is that Apple screwed our devices because we are "official apple developers" and did effort to stop us getting proper help. I unbricked my ipad and iphone thanks to unofficial help. Thank you who wrote this unofficial help and "no thanks" for apple for ruining my access to my devices. My mistake was assuming that "update" button on my devices works. It did not because it always told "Your device has latest IOS6 installed" until it bricked yesterday.
If Apple does not want to listen us, continue do delete post, blame us installing your software and yes we stop buying your devices and developing for them.

  • 'Iphone may be damaged and cannot be activated for service'

Ive just bought a used iphone4. it arrived having been cleared and reset.
I connected to itunes and upgraded to the new software. Then it worked for half a day. Then a message came up saying i need ot restore the phone.
So i plugged it in again and at the end of the uprgrade sequence it comes up with-
'Problem with the iphone - may be damaged and cannot be activated for service' - please visit apple store.
Its obviously out of warranty and the apple store is a long way away. Ive only had it a day and im assured its never been jailbroken, dropped or water damaged.
I know loads of people have had this message come up and people have recommened going to the apple store. But before i make the long trek i just wanted to know if anyone ever came up with a solution to fix this and use the phone again.
Any help much appreciated. back on sh+tty blackberry!!

    Thanks for the replies guys!
I cant access the phone it just stays on 'connect to itunes'
Could someone quickly explain how jailbraking an iphone could cause it problems? I want to email the person I bought this from and tell them why I think they have damaged it by jailbraking it.
I really appreciate this help bacuase ive shelled out £160 for this paperweight, Thanks.

    Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply. I ddidn't specify XA at page
    flow level.
But the problem is rectified for me.
I have two jcds in which one of them connects to two different oracle databases for e.g host A and host B.
JCD1 connects to host A and host B[ 2 oracle otds]
JCD2 connects to host B. [single oracle otd]
I had three external applications for each otd
In deployment profile, i connected two external applications to single external system for HOST B.
When i created one more new external system for host b and moved one external application to that.
After then the problem didn't occur again.

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to activate a workflow on document event change, and i am getting this error in the event trace: Workflow definition of task 'WS90123456' cannot be activated
In the receiver data i have:
    receiver type : ws90123456
    object key:
    receiver fm: SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF
    rfc destination:
    check fm
    receiver type fm:
message: Workflow definition of task 'WS90123456' cannot be activated
any ideas as to why this is happening ?

If still no joy goto SWUD go to Test Environment and select simulate event taking note of the messages code displayed.

  • Excel designer cannot be activated

I have Visual Studio 2013 and have a project in development that has worked for a couple of months. All of a sudden I was no longer able to open the excel worksheet in design mode as I get the error "Excel designer cannot be activated". I can open
the code but not the excel designer. I have repaired, reinstalled both VS and Excel. I re-imaged my PC and it worked for about a week or so then I got the same error again. This should not occur or if it is something we are doing incorrectly Microsoft should
be able to tell us what the issue is.
I have seen this question asked 3 times on here without one vote as a valid answer. Obviously this is a bug within Visual Studio. Is Microsoft going to respond with a fix or a workaround that resolves this issue? This issue hinders development of our office
    related application project.
One more piece of information. I found out that if someone else logs onto my workstation they do not have the issue. Therefore, this seems to be related to the registry for the current user.

    Hi R Mand,
    >>All of a sudden I was no longer able to open the excel worksheet in design mode as I get the error "Excel designer cannot be activated". <<
As far as I know, "Visual Studio Tools for Office Design-Time Adaptor for Excel" is used to work for it, please make sure this add-in is active.
Also I found an similar thread about this issue, please let me know whehter it is helpful.

    Hello everyone,
I just updated my 3GS from iOS 5.0.0 to 5.0.1
Since the update, Itunes says that no SIM card is detected, and the iPhone says that it cannot be activated. It also obviously does not detect any network.
I tried restarting the phone several times, removing the SIM card several times, but it did not change anything, the SIM is still not detected.

  • DataStore Objects cannot be activated

During installation of FI-GL BI content, error below is encountered.  As a result, all standard ODSO can't be activated.  Customized datastore objects cannot be activated as well.  InfoCube, multicube and other objects (except DSO) are working fine.
Wonder how to fix this issue.  Would appreciate much some help.
    Thanks.

The creation of the export DataSource failed
    Message no. RSBM035
    Diagnosis
The system could not create DataSource .
    System Response
The metadata for a DataSource must be created while the export InfoSouce is being generated. An error occurred at that time.
    Procedure
Consult the appropriate developer (function module: RSA1_OLTPSOURCE_GENERATE).

    Hi Dhanya,
    Thanks much for suggestion.
    Hi Sreekanth,
I have indeed checked RFC connection of BI to ECC.  Anyways, have followed your idea and generally it worked.  However, after fixing the RFC connection and having a "OK" status Check for BI self connection, error below is encountered upon DSO activation.
Basis is trying to fix the issue.  In any case, perhaps last option would be to delete source system and recreate.
But if you have some thoughts in mind how to fix without deleting BI self source system, would really appreciate it.
    Thanks a lot.

Transfer structure prefix for source system T90CLNT090 is not defined
    Message no. RSAR325
    Diagnosis
A prefix is defined for the source system for determining cross-system unique transfer structure names. This prefix is not defined between your source system T90CLNT090 and Warehouse T90CLNT090. There was probably an error when creating the source system.
    Procedure
If you have not yet loaded data from this source system, delete the source system and then recreate it.
If the problem occurs again, check the SAP Support Portal. Create a new problem message, if necessary.

  • HT2357 I accidently deleted all of my updates and they're not coming back. Is there any quick way to get these updates active again?

I accidentally deleted all of my updates and they're not coming back. I haven't been able to make any updates since 2006. I have a log of my past updates but I cannot seem to get them active again. Is there any easy way to get these updates active again?
This was a while ago back in 2006 but from what I can remember I actually deleted/permanently removed these updates from my list of updates. I tried keeping all the updates except for two that I did not need and somehow deleted all of the updates I wanted to keep. I've tried reseting my ignored updates but that does not bring back the updates. If i delete the two that I originally attempted to remove - it only brings those two back. I hope there is still some way to get these updates back. I appreciate any help that anyone is able to give me.
    Thanks!

  • Avoiding java.io.IOException: Cannot allocate memory

I am creating MappedByteBuffers using FileChannel.map(). If I try to map too large a section of a file, I get the following Exception:
    java.io.IOException: Cannot allocate memory
         at sun.nio.ch.FileChannelImpl.map0(Native Method)
at sun.nio.ch.FileChannelImpl.map(FileChannelImpl.java:705)What this does not tell me is how much memory I can allocate. Is there some way to check?
    ++A

The problem is, it would not be a few milliseconds at the start of the code. I should be making this decision within a loop, for each mapping. One iteration, I might be able to allocate 100kb. The next, I might be able to allocate 500mb.
It would be a mistake to try to allocate either amount every iteration.
The memory allocated by these MappedByteBuffers are being passed to another thread in the process, which will, in time, free them up. Meanwhile, this thread is trying to allocate room for another buffer. If the last buffer created used most of the system's resources, I probably cannot make another of the same size immediately. However, I would like to make one as soon as enough memory is available for it to be worth the effort. When that is the case, I would once again like to grab as much memory as possible in order to get the most time-benefit from the allocation.
I will check into the Runtime.getRuntime.freeMemory() proposal and see how that works.
