HT5622 Misleading information

Purchased MacBook Pro on 06/12/13 on finance, the policy states delivery 1 to 3 working days, today when called to track the order I was told that the product will be delivered between 16 and 18 of December, so where can I complain?

Where does the policy state 1 to 3 business days? Does it really say 1 to 3 business days after it is shipped or after it is ordered? Has your computer shipped yet or is it still being manufactured? You'll know when it ships when you get a notification that it shipped.

  • Rude and misleading information from the "vendor center".

I am amazed that Verizon Wireless thinks so little of me, as to let THIS contractor answer questions on their behalf.  I have had a very poor success rate when calling Verizon on the weekends.  Now when I call, first and foremost, my question is, "Are you a Verizon Employee or a contractor/vendor"?  If they say, "contractor", I say, thank you... I will call back.
I have been told equipment is compatable with my plan... it wasn't.
I have been hung up on for asking if I was speaking to a Verizon employee.
I have been lied to about whether or not they were a Verizon employee.
I just spoke to an agent who said Verizon is closed on the weekends and the Vendor Center answers all calls on the weekend.  I told him, that can't be, I just spoke to a Representative who identified herself as a Verizon Wireless employee and not a vendor or a contractor.  He asked for her name and when I told him, he said, "she works here at the vendor center".
So, now, I am at a loss... I can no longer trust that I am talking to an actual Verizon Wireless Employee (which to me is "night and day" different).
I do not, normally, post my thoughts online but today I was so fustrated that I thought, I need to do this.  And hopefully, if enough of us "need to do this", things can get back to normal...

who ever said that vzw is closed and that vendors take the calls on weekends does not know what they are talking about. verizon AND vendor call centers take calls 7 days a week. that being said, vendor and direct call centers receive the same training, and have access to the same information. i worked in a vendor call center for vzw for 3 years, and i have been told just as much incorrect information by a direct verizon employee that has not used his/her resources to give a correct answer, as i have a vendor center. there is no difference.
I can honestly say there is NO difference between getting a direct vs vendor center. as for hanging up, we do not hang up on customers, we wouldn't if we wanted to, the call is recorded and we would just get ourselves in trouble(direct or vendor, same thing).
I have seen direct centers sell a person a phone saying it will do something it can't, or that a feature wont change, but it does. i have seen vendors do the same thing.
what you are saying here, would be the same as being in the hospital and having two nurses work with you. one works for the hospital, and the other works for an agency, but has been serving that same hospital for 5 years. and when you find out, you refuse to work with the agency nurse. she knows just as much as the hospital employee does, follows the same rules, and went to the same schools...

  • BT Fon misleading information

    First post and it's a moan !
I quote from the folded card information I received with my Home Hub package:-
"As a BT Broadband customer you and your family get: FREE Unlimited wi-fi"
I now find from looking on the forum that it is only the primary email that get access to Fon. How is that including the family with their sub account addresses?
    Allan

sub accounts will not work but there is no limit on the number of time the primary email can sign in - just one problem in that you have to enter your primary password on each device

  • Hp Deskjet 3525 problem with 364 ink - misleading information

I've bought original 364 ink. 364 ink because after Printer installation in my Operation system i have "HP Deskjet 3520 series" Printer plus Printer Software is identifying it as 3520 series Printer.
Keeping it in mind I bought Ink 364 for 3520 Printer but this ink is identified as "incorrect cartridge", after detailed investigation I've discovered that on the bottom side of Printer i have small label with information that my printer is 3525 model, after further investigation it appears that i need different kind of INK.
OFC I'm unable to replace already opened INK in the place where i bought it.
FYI even driver for 3525 printer is named 3520.
Question: Is there a way to activate 364 Ink in my 3525 Printer ? or the only way is to buy another INK (655)
    This question was solved.

    Hello Milosz123,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I am sorry to hear about the confusing information regarding which inks need to be used in your Deskjet ink Advantage 3525. From the information I have been able to find, the inks used are the same.
There could however be a different number depending on the region or location you bought / use the printer.
Try the steps outlined here: 'Incompatible Ink Cartridge' or 'Ink Cartridge Must Be Replaced' Message Displays on the Control Pan.... If those steps are unsuccessful, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you.

  • BT Credit Cards Misleading Information AGAIN

Having done a search before posting this I noticed there was an old post regarding the maximum limit of £75 cashback being able to be earnt in any "rolling" 12 month period with a BT credit card. The post was designated "solved" as the person concerned had received an explanation regarding old and new credit cards - new were recived after 2009.
Today having spent over £800 this month on my "new" card I started using in 2010 MBNA informed me that I had exceeded the allowable £75 rebate and couldn't get a penny off my bill this month!!
JUST CHECKED AGAIN and I must have had my card before the 2009 deadline as I seem to have been getting the higher rate rebates - just been getting too many and so fell foul of the £750 limit.
I'M HAPPY NOW as it seems virtually impossible to get more money using the "new" card!

When the High Street banks begin to offer telephone, BB and TV, then I might start to think about having a BT credit card

I am looking for buy my first lap top, I was sold on the Dell 1764.... I decided to do a quick search first. I was concerned when I read your comments. Would you recommend this computer?. This will be my first lap top, I am about to retire. My uses are mostly to download pictures, music, pay bills, communicate with my kids and grandkids and do some searches as I am now doing. If you do not mind let me know your recommendation.

That laptop would suit your needs, yes. Almost every laptop would, an the i5 series is a perfect midrange device.
Why do you say the price is misleading?

  • Weather widget iOS 6.0.1 misleading information

    From Russia with love!
When I had the iPhone 4 with iOS 5.*.* weather widget worked fine.
Now I still have My iPhone 4 and My new iPhone 5, as well. iOS 6.0.1 both of them right now!
I live in the city (Morshansk, Russia) — not in the district around the town.
I want to make it clear. 2 years I always saw correct info in the Notification Center. I mean I saw Morshansk always.
But now I constantly see some districts around — Skol'niki, Ust'e, Korshunovka and maybe others in My NC right now.
Skol'niki, Ust'e, Korshunovka is just a small districts around My city, and I've never been there!
It started when I upgraded to the latest version (6.0.1) both phones — iPhone 4 & iPhone 5.
    Look carefully at the screenshot:

Blue — I visit almost every day.

I've had the same problem since the update too. The temp no longer shows and it doesn't update. I was hoping they would push a new release to fix it but, it's been awhile and I've given up hope. You're not the only one with the problem tho!!

  • Misleading ADH Information Provided By Best Buy Associates

Let me start by saying that Best Buy WAS my most FAVORITE store UNTIL walking into store on 03/08/14 in Alabama. I am a 31 yr old customer that has been purchasing electronics from Best Buy since 2003. The management and sales associates in the store I normally go to is AWESOME! Now I would be one of the first to say that "Yes, it seems that Best Buy's T&Cs on GSBT/GSRP/ADH Plans change often." Whenever I go into any Best Buy, I look at the little pamphlets that was given out when you purchased any GS protection plan. I notice they looked different from time to time. Maybe a different color or size. I mean, go to <http://www.geeksquad.com/protection-plans/terms-and-conditions.aspx> and look. It goes back to July 2007. Has it always been available online? Nope. The first extended warranty/protection Plan I purchased was on a laptop purchased in 2003 when I left for college. I don't see it on there. So it's very safe to assume they haven't always been readily available and from looking at previous comments and posts after googling "Best Buy ADH 2012," I see I'm NOT the only customer that has been mislead by the sales associates on ADH. Why not trust that the employees are explaining important details? I mean SOMETIMES you're handing me a pamphlet with the T&Cs and giving me misleading info that you claim is in there. But at the time I had every reason to trust and believe the associates are providing me with important details and accurate info that is found in what you're placing in my hand (I've been to MANY Best Buy's and purchased MANY things from each Best Buy depending on where I'm at at that time).
In 2012 I bought two iPads (3rd generation). I bought one 16gb and a 32gb along with ADH for each one (one for my parents and one for myself). And like any electronic device I buy from Best Buy, I was ALWAYS told, "Don't forget to purchase the protection plan!" Well, if you look at my history, I ALWAYS purchased the "extended warranty" or "protection plan." Like I said, when I moved away for college in 2003, I purchased a brand new laptop, had GS to hook it up and also paid for the "extended warranty" as it was called at the time. I never had to use any warranties or protection plans I purchased. I purchased protection plans on the 2 laptops I bought, a washer and dryer I bought (that was stolen when I went on vacation) and also the new ones I purchased to replace the stolen set, a washer I bought AFTER I moved (because mine was in storage and I damaged my parents older washer by overloading it with a comforter) and even on cellphones I've had in the past. Basically, if Best Buy offered it on a device, I purchased it because I felt confident that if ANYTHING went wrong, Best Buy would take care of it. Why?? Because that's what I was told when I purchased it. Now, that being said, my parents are 66 and 70 and not in the best of health. Last year, my mom dropped the iPad and broke the screen. I was confident that Best Buy would replace it with a new device like I was told. I get to the closest Best Buy to me (which is an hour and fifteen away from home; the original store where I purchased them is two and a half hours away). The iPad still powered on but of course the glass screen was shattered. Who wants to use an iPad with cracked glass and risk cutting a finger? Well, low and behold, that store reprinted the receipt and replaced the iPad 3rd gen with a NEW iPad 4th gen (there were no more iPad 3rd gen at the store) just like the sales associates said. No questions asked. No hassle. No problem. I don't even work for Best Buy but yet ANYBODY I talked to (friend, family, stranger in the store), I would push "protection plan...get it!...it's worth it!"
March 7th, 2014, while working, I accidentally dropped my 32gb iPad and cracked my screen. I had already made plans to go out of town on March 8th so I did my research and saw there's a Best Buy an hour away. I was confident that Best Buy would replace my device in store so that Monday, March 10th I would be able to go back to work and have a working iPad that's not going to slice and dice my fingers up. I get to the GS desk and I gave the GS agent my phone number to reprint my receipt so he could go ahead and replace my iPad. (Why was I so confident? My parents iPad was replaced with no issues). Well the GS agent proceeds to tell me that "Your iPad qualifies to be replaced with a refurbished iPad. Would you like to pick it up in store or have it shipped to your home?" Excuse me? Refurbished? Picked up or sent to my home? No no no. Now, I told him, "When I purchased the iPad (that I paid $599 for BRAND NEW) and the 2 yr ADH, I was told by the sales associate if anything happened to it, any Best Buy would swap it out in store with a new device that way I wouldn't have to go without." He proceeds to tell me, "The plans have changed. It might have been that way when you purchased it but the plans have changed since 2012." (Thank goodness I didn't go in the store by myself. I had two friends with me that heard all of this non-sense). Now it's always that if the T&Cs change after you purchased yours, they have to honor the T&Cs that you had from the beginning. That's like a cellphone company telling me "You cannot keep your unlimited plan because we don't offer it anymore." You can't do that. So because the company changed the T&Cs AFTER I purchased it, you're not going honor what that??? So I asked for a manager. The GM of the store comes. The same thing I explained to the GS agent, I repeated once again to the GM. He says the same thing the GS agent said. By then, I'm in shock and not only is my blood pressure going up, I'm getting more and more upset thinking about each and every ADH/GSBT/GSRP I purchased (and didn't use EXCEPT for one). Then my mind went to everybody that bought an ADH and was mislead with the same T&Cs shared by the sales associates. The GM then goes on to tell me, "Your iPad is still functional. You can keep it until your refurbished iPad comes in." I'm looking at my iPad and I run my finger across it and I feel sharp pieces of glass. I asked him "What if I cut my finger?" He then opened his mouth and let the CRAZIEST thing come out. He said, "I can discount a Zagg Invisible Shield for you if you would like." I'm thinking "what kind of FOOL does he take me for????" Seriously???? (1) You COULD replace it but you won't (which he stated it's at HIS sole discretion if he wanted to replace it or not but because the computer said send a refurbished one, he doesn't want to go against that) and (2) You want me to BUY a invisible shield that you're going to discount??? That's WHY I purchased the ADH (so I wouldn't have to spend any money later on if something happens to it). So I told him to go ahead and send it but I'm not happy about and I would call and complain about it. I now have to go to work Monday and Tuesday without the iPad I DEPEND on to do my job. I refuse to pay for a screen protector when I know the iPad could be exchanged there in the store.
I NEVER thought I would live to say "I will NEVER EVER spend another dime in Best Buy or any affiliates they may have from today going forward unless the problem is resolved." I JUST spent over $1400 in Best Buy a couple of weeks ago on a PS4 (ADH as well), 3 PS4 games, an iPod Touch 32gb, a griffin case and a set of headphones. I will be canceling that ADH on the PS4 ASAP. It's not worth it. It's not worth the hassle. My friends that witnessed all of this have now been turned away from a business that I once loved. Is it because I told them to turn away? No. It's because they know that that is poor customer service and misleading info that was provided. They've even purchased ADH on devices they've purchased and was provided the SAME misleading information that I was provided (and I'm talking about three different stores providing each of us with the same exact information). I know that myself and the two other people that were with me today will not hurt Best Buy's business by not returning and buying electronics from there. But everyone knows that one unhappy customer will go back and tell a family member or friend what happened. And that family member or friend will go and tell another family member or friend that will tell another........it then turns into a chain reaction. Do I wish anything bad on Best Buy? Nope. What I do wish is that (1) my iPad is replaced with a NEW iPad 3rd gen or better (ain't no going back to a 2nd generation) and (2) Best Buy needs to retrain EVERY employee (manager, supervisor and regular associate) to make sure instead of saying "With ADH, if anything happens to it, bring it back to any Best Buy and we'll replace it in store!" the associates need to be truthful and say "With ADH, it is at our sole discretion to replace the device in store OR have a refurbished device sent to the store where you can pick it up when it comes in or either we can have it sent to your home!" But that's too much like being right. I now see it's all about getting a sale and getting numbers up. It's not about providing excellent customer service cause if it was, I would've walked out of that store with a new iPad. I am literally SICK just thinking of the thousands of dollars I've spent in Best Buy. Lesson learned though.

    Hello,
There is very little more frustrating than having a device that you use every day develop a need for service, whether through defect or damage. I've had similar situations arise myself and been aggravated too. It's also important to live up to the terms of our agreements with you and our other customers -- in this case the written Terms & Conditions of the Geek Squad Protection plan you purchased. Further, it is imperative that we communicate how the coverage works accurately. I regret any miscommunication that there may have been about how the terms of your plan would be fulfilled.
The Geek Squad Agent's choice of language was unfortunate. You're quite correct in that the terms of the plan do not change once it's been purchased. However, the process by which we fill those terms can be subject to change. We reserve the right -- as stated in the Terms -- to provide a refurbished unit to fulfill our obligation under the plan.
We cannot provide the refurbished unit to you without taking possession of the damaged unit. The Agent at the store should have been specific that if you kept the damaged iPad to use in the interim, the replacement could not be shipped to you, but rather to the store for this reason. Please know that I apologize for any inconvenience to you.
Finally, I'm wholly disheartened to read that this experience may prompt you to change your future shopping destination. It is my hope that you will give Best Buy another chance to win you over one day soon. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
    Sincerely,

  • False/misleading package status

    Situation
Our package status often gives us misleading information. I am wondering whether other people experience the same and/or have found solutions (see Data for more details)
    Data
    - On BPC 5.1 SP5
    - Erroneous Status
    1) When Progress shows "Completed", it actually fails at "Convert data" step - "Failed in 1 sec"
    2) Our data package downloads flat file from BW's FTP server and import to BPC. Sometimes we have new members and the log will show those "rejects". What's weird is that such rejects log don't show consistently. For example, the log file would show "rejects" today, but even if I don't do anything (i.e. adding those rejects as new members to my dimension), the next day the log would "The values in the source data are same as the database". The same flat file is being fed to BPC, and what was rejected still are included in the flat files because we are running on total snapshot rather than "delta".
    Question
    Has anyone experienced these issues?
    Thank you!
    Brian

    Brian,
    Here is my answer.
    1. When convert fails in a second, it means data file doesn't exist or something wrong.
    2. The values in the source data are same as the database.
when you import with clear option, data manager compare it with current data in the fact tables before import,
If it is exactly same, it shows that error message and will not import.
Why does we need to import exact same data? That's why DM shows that message.
I hope it will help you.

  • Skype Wifi Billing.... Misleading?

So, i'm at an airport and I just decided to use Skype Wifi instead of the default airport billing.  Seemed that $0.09 per minute worked out to a better rate than the airport.   Skype says you are "only billed for the minutes you use".   However the second i signed in I was charged about $3.   Then i accidentally logged out after about 5 mintues, logged back in and was charged ANOTHER $3.... there is no per-minute anything going on here.   It seems Skype has a seriously misleading information going on here.
It seems to actually bill in chunks....

Here is how it works: when you connect to Skype WiFi, it reserves Skype Credit for a 30 minute session. Once you Disconnect, it charges only for minutes used and the remainder is returned to your Skype Credit balance.
Please note that you must Diconnect in the app first (not log out or kill the app), otherwise it might still charge you for a full 30 min session.
You may also contact Customer Service and ask to investigate, if you are sure you did press Disconnect.

  • Pacman-key wiki: Incorrect information

    Good Morning all
The new pacman-key wiki has some misleading information within it, that should be corrected/clarified.
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pa … e_checking
    specifically
Edit /etc/pacman.conf and uncomment the following line under [options]:
    SigLevel = Never
try it. The repositories are below this line and therefore the parser takes the last invocation of the SigLevel (global) option at a local level and doesn't honour the setting. You also need to comment any 'SigLevel'  lines within the [core], [community] or [extra] repositories.
It should be clarified because it causes confusion.

  • Release 1 Portal "monitoring tab" disappear in release 2 Portal

Can anyone tell me where is the Monitoring tab(release 1 portal) in Release 2 Portal under the Portal home page?

The Monitoring tab was removed in Oracle9iAS Portal Release 2. The reason for this is that a number of the reports that existed in Release 1 are now sometimes reporting misleading information. The main reason for this is the efficiency of the caching in the middle-tier (e.g. Web Cache and the mod_plsql cache) which prevent all web requests hitting the Portal Repository where the reporting data gets updated.
We have however replaces a number of these reports with new reports that work off middle tier log files, and which provide a more accurate picture of the actual requests being made. We do have longer term plans to provide a more comprehensive set of reports.
For details of the middle-tier log based reports, check out this link on Portal Center:

  • Workflow API

    Hi Folks,
Are there any workflow API that could be used in third party tools (java based), basically we want to monitor workflow notifications from third party tools and send the notifications to different channels like email, SMS and other applications.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Anil

Sheesh... I am sorry my original post offended you and I did not know that there was a rule against answering someone's question after someone else had answered it.
This is not to prove that I am right, it's about SDN community and <b>correct</b> information appearing in a searchable forum that is not misleading. Please do not see this as a personal attack. If I have a different opinion I will say I disagree, if I know something is wrong I will say so. If you post on a public forum you should be prepared for criticism when wrong (as I have been too).
In my first post I made <i>no</i> reference to your post whatsoever but merely responded to the <i>original</i> question in a polite and helpful manner, yet you responded to me that "Everyone knows what WAPI stands for..." (complete nonsense and a little rude) and misleading information about remote-enabled functions. (BTW, I did have a look on my present system and found only one that wasn't).
For the record (and to help Anil and anyone reading this):
WAPIs, BAPIs and whatever xAPIs should follow certain rules, amongst others: no dialog, no exceptions, no COMMIT WORK, be <b>remotely callable</b>, should not access memory or call transactions or reports. You can research this yourself. As APIs are released for customer use, SAP are obliged to correct their functions if they don't follow the rules.
Concerning SRM-Wapis, I have never seen them so I may be technically incorrect here (and a little surprised to find out they are in an ECC system) but should still only be used in an SRM context.
Then again I did say "unless the sap doc is incorrect" and curiosity got the better of me so I had a look in the help. Accordingly "The released function modules of the SAP WAPI interface are in the development class SWR .". I guess SRM WAPIs are in the SRM docs... go figure
    Cheers,
    Mike
