HT5622 My apple I'd for my cloud is my old id and won't let me change it to my new id. How do I do this?
I recently bought the iPhone 5 . The apple id for my cloud won't let me change the apple id it has from my old to my new one how do I make this happen?

I not so recently changed my email adress I associated with my Apple ID and my iCloud ID. My old email still shows up for iCloud, and won't let me change it to my new email. When I try to delete it and replace it with the proper email, it wants my password, which it won't accept because it's an invalid username.
I had this same issue and got it resolved very simply when I contacted Apple SUpport
Go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and sign into your infomation
> Go to Manage apple id and primary email address
> Change it to the old apple id that your device is asking for
> Save changes
> Go to Settings > iCloud and sign out of the infomation
> Go back to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
> Change it back to the correct apple id
> Go to the email address adn reverify the apple id
> Sign back into iCloud on your device
> Smile

That was just a typo.
I have three accounts set up in Mail, one of which, apart my the username which is my son's, has exactly the same settings as the one that isn't working and remember it's affecting all my devices.
I would feel happier even if I could create a fourth account on my MacBook Pro using what I know to be the correct password for the server but when I try it keeps defaulting to imap type, I don't get an option for Pop which is what I need.

Hello, Im trying to upgrade Imovie and whatever app are about to update in the future, the problem is the my Imac is stuck with an old email on the APP store. I try to change it and nothing happen, when I put my apple ID it send me to change the password and what Im trying to do is to put my new email in the system so would be able to update my computer. You know when you press the update button a little box drop with your email and all you have to put is your password thats where my old email is stuck pls someone help me with that little problem i'll appreciate it... thanks
An Apple ID isn't necessarily "linked" with your email other than for recovery reasons. So, as long as you know the Apple ID password, an old email isn't catastrophic. Apple ID != e-mail.
Now, if it's really bugging you and you really want to change it, if you log in to http://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address, this should update your Apple ID. There will be a couple hoops involved with this (i.e. verification of email change by sending email to rescue/alternate email. Alternate email can't be the same as the new primary. The new primary can't have ever been used as/with an Apple ID. etc...). -
I changed my AppleID a long time ago to an email that I no longer use and I have updates for apps that I can't update because my old email is filled in to where i sign in and it wont let me change it to my new one???
The problem with those two apps is that they are supposed to be in your Apple ID and you didn't set up the Mac properly/completely when you got it.
You might try deleteing them and using OS X Recovery to install them again.

After that, before you open any iLife apps go to your Mac App Store account, to the Purchased pane and Accept them into your account. -
I have an iPhone 4S and for some reason when I go to turn my wifi on sometimes it's greys out and Won't let me turn it on so what can I do to fix this ???

I often use credit card for iTunes but also use iTunes but systems won't let me change back to my iTunes. I have redeemed and gives me a balance but I am unable to access.
If you can't find anything for exactly that amount then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will remove the balance for you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

I have a iPod touch 4 and updated the iOS 6 and always when I try to search for an app in the App Store it won't let me because it always exits the App Store. Why is this happening?

The password for wireless network was changed. Airport keeps trying to sign in automatically with old password and won't let me put in new password. Any ideas?
You really should change both the wireless network name and password to avoid potential conflicts with the old and new settings.

I am trying to re-instal Acrobat Pro on my computer after changing OS and resetting everything. I am using the CC panel for installation. It shows it installed and won't let me install it. I doubled check everything on my computer and it is not installed. Even more, all my PDF files now show an HTML extension rather that PDF and only opens in my browser, which means the program is not here.

Had asked for help with iCloud 3 weeks ago. Cloud has my old email and I no longer know the password, wont't let me sign in with new email. When I talked with apple cust service they assured me that everything associated with apple would change over. NO it did not! Cannot find how to get cloud to change this. My Iphone says I have not backed up in 9 weeks because of iCloud. Can anyone help me or give me some advise please

Sandie PSame thing happened to me. My son's iPod touch suddenly started indicating that my "username or PW had changed" or was "incorrect" so I paid Apple $30 to find out that all that was required was updating the software by plugging his iPod into my computer & syncing with iTunes. My problem was then solved.

I Changed my apple ID two days ago and verified it threw my email. When I try to download an app it still shows my old apple is and won't let me download. am I doing something wrong?
OK, so did you change to the new ID on your device in:
Settings>iTunes & App Store
Settings>iCloud (if you did not delete the old iCloud account before you changed your Apple ID, then post back for instructions on how to delete it)
Settings>Messages>Send & Receive
Settings>FaceTime
You need to sign out the old Apple ID in all of these places and sign on the new one.

It won't let me delete iCloud or sign out without SIGNING IN with my old email, which doesn't exist anymore.
It shows no option to sign in with my new email/password and the popups are getting obnoxious.
Now Apple is telling me I can't edit my own post?

However, my mac keeps rejecting my new password and won't connect. So I deleted the account off my Mac, and now when I'm trying to re-add it it keeps saying "You can't sign in at this time". Is there a glitch in the system? Is anyone else having the same problem?
