HTTP response does not contain a valid XML root tag
I am running into an error in my trace portion of my XML when executing my application. The error is "HTTP response does not contain a valid XML root tag". The HTTP request is successful with message 200 so it seems to be accepted by the Integration Engine. I looked for other posts on this error and only found one and it didn't show the resolution. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello
Check these notes (do you use a split mapping?):
1) 1515230 XI mapping: "Root tag missing" in split mapping
2) 1640553 XI mapping: Split mapping: error Missing_Interface

I'm trying to run the SQL Server R2 setup.exe, and all I get is a command window popping up briefly, then nothing.
This actually affects all SQL Installers that I have on my machine:

If I run the setup.exe from the command line, I get this:

I've seen a few suggestions elsewhere in search results, but nothing has worked so far.
I've previously run the 2008R2 installer and the 2012 installer without problems, so I'm not sure what has changed, or how to get round it.
I'm running on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1, 64 bit with up-to-date Windows Updates.

Project does not contain a valid connection problem
I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0 and have checked out code that was in CVS. I tried to put the code under an Application and Project, but when I do the check out, the Application Navigator shows it at the Application level. Within that Application, there are two projects. When I do a Make on either project, I get the error that The Business Component Project does not contain a valid connection. Double clicking on the error send me to the corresponding .jpx file which contains this:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1' ?>
<!DOCTYPE JboProject SYSTEM "jbo_03_01.dtd">
<JboProject
Name="ViewController"
SeparateXMLFiles="true"
PackageName="" >
<DesignTime>
<Attr Name="_ejbPackage" Value="false" />
<Attr Name="_NamedConnection" Value="Fred" />
<Attr Name="_version" Value="10.1.3.36.73" />
<Attr Name="_jprName" Value="../ViewController.jpr" />
</DesignTime>
</JboProject>
Does anyone know what connection needs to be set up? I wonder if part of the problem is how the CVS check out is working, but I can't seem to get it under an application.
I'd appreciate any help!Hello.,
Thank you so much for the responses! That was the problem. I had defined a database connection, but the name was not the same as what was in the jpx file. The error is now gone. :)
Thanks again! -
MDT 0xc0000098 The windows boot configuration data file does not contain a valid OS entry
hello,
i installed WDS+MDT for OS deployment. all was working fine.
Now i need our branch office to be able to deploy OS as well.
I installed a new Win 2008R2 server, and installed the WDS service on it.
When reading about this on the internet i saw i need, on the MDT at our main office, to make a link, under "Advanced Configuration" - "Linked Deployment Shares" to the new WDS server (I used this: http://www.balm.se/?p=115")
when doing so i entered the UNC path to the new server and then, on the created link, i right click and choose "Replicate now".
after doing so, i tried booting a laptop just to see if there is any impact, and now, I'm getting this error:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. insert your windows installation disk and restart your computer
2. choose your language, and then click "Next"
3. Click "Repair your computer"
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc0000098
Info: The windows Boot Configuration Data file does not contain a valid OS entry.
I know that usually when I'm getting this message, it means that a previous MDT installation was started and did not finished correctly, and the are some [stuff] on the HD, so i do a partition erase and start over and all working fine.
Now it's not working. I tried several computer, even new ones, and NADA.
someone know the cause?
I know I read something, i don't remember where or how to find it, that when doing the steps I did, it alter\change some ini or xml, or something like this. is that true? any one know on what file do i need to look and see if something is misconfigured?

thanks a lot for your help
For a branch solution I would use DFS(R) rather than linked deploymentshares.
If there is infrastructure at the remote sites you could use the MDT environment at your main site, and then at each other site use an existing server or build a new server (VM is available). Create a Deploymentshare on each sever
and copy the contents of the MDT environment from the first site into this share. Next you will have to add the WDS service to each site's server. For WDS add the boot image. Of course as Keith noted ensure that you
have the same versions of MDT and the WAIK/ADK on all systems
You can use DFS to replicate to all of the other sites, but you will still have to create a deploymentshare, and install WDS at each site. So each site talks to its own WDS server you can use the DefaultGateway parameter instead -

I'm trying to run the Cross validation report on a mining structure that contains just Microsoft Association Rules mining model. In Target Attribute, I've tried:
Actual(Service Description).SE value
Actual([Service Description]).[SE value]
Actual(Service Description)
Actual([Service Description])
just because i don't know what is the exact correct format, but none of them worked, and I always get the following error:
Error (Data mining): The specified mining structure does not contain a valid model for the current task.

Try creating a new Flex project and dragging the files from
the zip into the
src folder. You may find that you need to rearrange things a
bit, depending
on how they set up the project, but this should get you
started.

The extension does not contain a valid signature
hey guys, newbie on deck!
So, after installing CS6 I ran the Adobe Update Manger. During the update the Adobe Extension Manager (AEM) fired off and began updating as well. One error I saw was:
The extension 'Adobe_Flash_Professional_Toolkit_for_CreateJS' does not contain a valid signature. The extension will not be installed.
I'm not sure what this is or what it does but I would like to:
Understand the Adobe ecosystem and
Clear any problems.
Here's what I do know:
The Mac I have is 2 days old and probably in the best shape of its life.
I installed CS6 fresh from a DVD.
Ran the Adobe Update Manager the next day (today).
I don't intend to use Flash.
If anyone can expain common causes for this behavior and a fix I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
TTHi JesusPresley,
The root cause is the updater updated Adobe Flash, which tried to install the extension above by Extension Manager in the installation. However, this extension was NOT signed with the updated Adobe certificate, so the extension installation will be rejected by Extension Manager. That is what you got. We have sent this issue to Flash team.
If you don't use Flash, you can manually edit C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS6\XManConfig.xml, and remove the line <Data key="SupportedInSuite">CS6</Data>. Thanks.

I have encountered the dreaded "The specified path does not contain a valid operating system or you do not have permission to access it. Specify a valid path" message that seems to be popular in many forums .... BUT, so far none of the "solutions"
have fixed the problem (of I don't understand the fix)
Configuration
SCCM 2012 SP1 5.0.7804.1000
WADK 8.100.26629.0 < Suggested Fix
Server 2008 R2
SCCM Administrator with UserID = SCCMAdmin
Steps / Fixes I have followed
I have configured a administrative share
\\caleb\sources$ to hold directories (such as Apps, Drivers, and OS) with the following NTFS Permissions
EVERYONE has Read and Execute, List folder, Read permissions<o:p></o:p>
SYSTEM has Full Control
<Suggested Fix
SCCMManagers (our group that has all SCCMManagers) has Full Control<o:p></o:p>
SCCMAdmin (the SCCM Admin account that we are using to import image) has Full Control<o:p></o:p>
Local Administrators (the local machine administrator) has Full Control
<Suggested Fix
<o:p></o:p>
Another Fix is to explicitly grant all permissions to the SCCM Administrator
<Suggested Fix
>Administrative Users ...
Properties of the SCCM Administrator (for us that is SCCMAdmin) has all the boxes checked<o:p></o:p>
Another suggestion I was able to glean was to Specify the Network Access Account
so I configured SCCMAdmin as the Network Access Account.
Another potential fix is that the image ISO file that has been downloaded is corrupt. So, I downloaded the Win 7 (and Win 8.1) ISO's from MSDN and did a Checksum check.
I then mounted the ISO (on 2008R2 I use VirtualClone Drive) and copied the contents of the image to
E:\Sources\OS\en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_vl_build_x86_dvd_u_677896 for Windows 7 with SP1
To double check,
I computed the Hash on the Install.WIM located in the Sources directory and compared with
the computed Has Tag for the Install.WIM on the ISO Image ... and the Hash tag of the WIM's matched (extracted vs what is contained within the ISO)<o:p></o:p>
I tried to load the images into SCCM 2012 using the "Operating System Installers" option
UNC to installer
\\caleb\sources$\OS\en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_vl_build_x86_dvd_u_677896
Then I receive the lovely message <o:p></o:p>
"The specified path does not contain a valid operating system or you do not have permission to access it. Specify a valid path"<o:p></o:p>

PXE problem - \boot\BCD 0x0000098 does not contain a valid OS entry
I am setting up PXE on my SCCM 2012 server. I have a seperate DHCP server running WDS(unconfigured). I have DHCP option 66 and 67 set (\boot\x86\wdsnbp.com).
I have PXE configured to recognize unknown computers. The deployment assigned to the unknown computers collection. And confirmed that the boot images are on the distribution point (only 1 distribution point in enviroment). I do not have
a SMSPXE.log on sccm server if that is any indication of anything.
My workstation boots PXE, I hit F12 and it sees the PXE server.
I get a b/w screen...
Windows boot Manager (Server IP : <IP of SCCM box> )
Windows has failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not have this disk, contact your system administrator or your computer
manufactuer for assistance.
File: \Boot\BCD
Status : 0x0000098
Info: The Windows Boot Configuration Data file does not contain a valid OS entry.
Any suggestions to what might be the issue?
Thanks,
KubieUnfortunately I am in exactly the same situation but under slightly different circumstances.
We recently took delivery of 10 new systems, whilst developing a new/updated answer file the first two machines used have now developed this fault. They have been re-imaged several times, roughtly on its fouth deplyment the local machine entered this state
and we cant seem to get rid.
However any new system that hasn’t been used already is deploying correctly.
Ideas?
DHCP is MS / options:
066 Boot Server host Name: [FQDN name of the WDS server]
067 Bootfile Name: \boot\x86\wdsnbp.com (the systems and boot file we wish to use are x64)
FYI:
WDS is on same LAN subnet.
WDS is Win 2008 R2

On the 'broken' systems, try booting from USB media and then from a command prompt run diskpart and clean the disk. Then power off and try PXE again. I believe the clue is in the error message that the BCD store is kaput.

WDS "The file does not contain a valid install image"
I have WDS installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 machine. I can quite happily import Windows 7 Install images from the Windows 7 installation DVD, but if I try to import from the Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 installation DVD, at sources\install.wim, I
get:
"The file does not contain a valid install image"
If I run WDSUTIL from the command line I get:
"An install image could not be found in the image file".
I believe that the DVD is fine as I can install machines from it and mount the sources\install.wim file using DISM.
Anyone any idea what's wrong?
Note that the problem is not with my own images, it's with the image as supplied on media direct from Microsoft.Which download link did you use to get your SP1 media? From this link:

Unable to load the package as XML because of package does not have a valid XML format
I have SSIS package and I would like to let SQL Server Agent Job to run it.
However I get Unable to load the package as XML because of package does not have a valid XML format
What could be wrong?
Kenny_IHi Kenny,
What's the version of your SSIS? Please refer to the following methods to solve this issue:
Hard code the path of SQL Server 2008's DTEXEC while calling the SSIS package as shown below:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn\DTEXEC.exe /F "D:\MyFolder\MyPackage.dtsx"
Rename the old exe in the 2005 path to a different name (Example:- C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTEXEC_Old.exe)
Go to PATH environmental variable and edit it in such a way that "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn" path appears well before the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn" path.
For more detail information, please refer to the blog below:

The Adobe Exchange Download page has an old version of Adobe Extension Manager that fails on Mac OS Mountain Lion and later. Anyone who attempts to download Extension Manager gets this old version, 5.5.0.163.
BAD - http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em55_download.html
Version 5.5.3 is available from the following link, but Adobe search and download page link to the exchange download, not this link.
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/dw_exchange/extension_manager/mac/AdobeExtensionManager _5_5_3_mul_AdobeUpdate.dmg
Adobe, Please update the link so that we can a little more easily download a version that doesn't show the misleading error "The Extension does not contain a valid signature. The extension will not be installed".Sorry for that. We listed the old version in that page because the latest 5.5.3 patch can be installed ONLY AFTER you have installed the old version. Actually you can find the product updates at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/. Also you can launch Adobe Application Manager or Creative Cloud app to learn which products are updatable and update them if necessary.
