CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

Every time I TRY to start firefox 18-19 I get an error message : "Firefox has stopped working" - "close the program and check online for a solution" - or - "close the program" this happens TWICE every time I try to start firefox. Eventually after a random number of tries firefox will start normaly. I am useing firefox 19.0.2 now bit I belive it started when I upgraded to firefox 18 but am not sure, it might have been when I upgraded to firefox 19 ... but it has been happening for a very long time and I cannot find any helpfule solutions online.
I have tried a Clean reinstall but it did not help.

Firefox 4 does not function with Robo Form. This is a must program for me. Do I need to go back to using IE?

I downloaded and installed Firefox 4. While many new features are excellent, Firefox no longer recognizes or accepts Robo Form Software. This is a must program for me.

The roboform-firefox-3-4-frozen.xpi adaptor does not work for firefox 4.0 final release if you have roboform 6.x.
To continuate to use roboform 6.x you will have to downgrade firefox to version 3.6.
To use firefox 4.0 you need roboform 7.x.
Roboform promissed "for life" upgrades, but they failed. Now they want you buying the upgrade to version 7.

That is a very good warning provided by the Download Statusbar extension. Something like that should been built into Firefox. I filed this Bug report a couple of years ago, about the lack of a warning like that.

You might want to ask the developer of the Download Statusbar extension about it. He might know which AV programs are compatible with the Windows API that Firefox uses for the download scan.

What Download Video Program for Mac is as Good as Orbit is for Windows??

12/29/2008. Friends, I have searched and searched and searched for a video download program for Mac that will download videos from almost any website besides just YouTube and such, but to no avail. The latest OrbitDownloader 2.8.1 for Windows is excellent and will do this for Windows on a PC. What similar download video program for Mac will perform as excellently or almost as good?? I've tried Firefox's Video Downloader Helper but can not get it to work. I've tried Mori but don't know how to get it to work. I've tried Perian but again don't know how to get it to work, I just get a window that says "Uninstall." [www.perian.org/#watch] I'm glad that I gave the example of "POV Inheritance," because it is somewhat complex. First a person must locate the POV Inheritance website. For Perian, to go into Windows Activity at that point shows only that line. No one told me that I must click the wee arrow to the left of that line. Then a long drop list appears. But none of those help. So one must return to and on the website click "Watch the streaming video online" or ". . . now." That brings up another sub-website on which a person must click "Watch the Full Film." Then one can choose between five "chapters," and go into Windows Activity again. Then appears "net + public affairs player: video." Then one clicks the small arrow on the left of "net+ public affairs video" and sees 17 selections. All except one are small kbs. One has a large megabyte file. Select and Command + C that, and then go into Windows Downloads and Command + V [paste]. Then the download begins. And the person must do that for each of the five chapters. The other option is not to click any of the "chapters" but instead click "Watch the Full Film," and then click Windows Activity and then the small arrow left of "net + public affairs : video" and on the drop down list appear, among many, the five separate chapter files [the ones with large megabyte files], and continue as per a few lines above. The Perian procedure is simple. Getting to the line to be downloaded, in this case, is more complex, and so a good example from which to learn.
RealPlayer 11.0.0 [or 11.0.1] and its RealPlayer Downloader work very well too and may be simpler.

I am trying to run my registered CS6 Design Standard programs for the first time after install. InDesign runs OK, but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trail mode. How do I activate those two?

I can't get my registered versions of CS6 Photoshop and Illustrator to run in full mode. I installed CS6 Design Standard online end of June (an upgrade from CS5.5), on my old MacBook Pro. I didn't run the programs then as I was waiting on arrival of new MacBook Pro. I migrated the programs from my old MacBook to the new, and today tried to run those programs for the first time. InDesign work OK (after an initial hiccup) but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trial mode, and won't let me save files. My CS6 Design Standard shows with it's registration in my Adobe Account. All seems in order, but Illustrator and Photoshop won't run in registered mode. Can you please help?

Please use the uninstallers to remove your current installation. They are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once the uninstall is complete you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. How can I shut off all of the pop-up windows for all the Firefox and Thunderbird updates?
Apparently now Mozilla creates new versions of their browser and email apps every two weeks instead of just creating updates... I'm tired of all of the pop-up requests for these constant installation requests and all the problems that the new version installations create... I just want to use the software and be left alone.
I can't find a way to make Firefox and Thunderbird stop with the pop-up requests for new installations... is there a way to do this or has Mozilla just got it rigged so one can't just use the software without re-installing a new version every two weeks and running in to new plugin issues and missing features every time?

I have an HP laptop that originally had Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit OS. I want to generate a desktop shortcut for gmail that uses Firefox as the browser not internet explorer (8). If I use IE 8 as the brower and enter in gmail.com, gmail opens. I can right click on that page and create a gmail desktop short cut with IE 8 as the browser. If I try the same steps using Firefox as the opened browser, I can't create a desktop short cut by right clicking...it is not an option. I can't make Firefox my default browser for everything as my work programs/shortcuts require IE. Again, how do I create a direct gmail desktop shortcut that uses Firefox as the browser, not IE 8, when IE 8 has to be the default browser?

You could create a shortcut to open Firefox with a specific site using a command line argument.
You can copy the shortcut that you use to open Firefox, then right-click on it and choose '''Properties'''. On the shortcut tab, you will see the target, it will look something like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
You can add gmail.com to this shortcut so it looks like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" gmail.com
