Figure what out?
If it is not connected to wi-fi or it is off, then you cannot play a sound or locate it.
There is nothing more you can do other than look for it.

i have moved mu itunes to a new computer and my ipod will not sync with new music.

If you are using automatic syncing, you may need to set up the iPod's Music tab in iTunes.
Select the iPod in iTunes.  There is a row of "tabs" (starting with Summary).  Select Music there.  This is the Music tab, where you tell iTunes how to sync the iPod with songs.  Sync Music is checkmarked for automatic syncing.
If your entire iTunes music library can fit on the nano, you can choose to sync Entire music library.  Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  Then, create your selection of songs below.  For example, if you want to keep it simple, create a new playlist in iTunes.  Put ALL songs you want on the iPod on that playlist, including songs from the newly added music.  Back on the Music tab, find and checkmark that new playlist under Playlists.
When you click Apply, your selection of songs on the Music tab syncs to the iPod, replacing its current content.  Going forward, any changes that are related to the Music tab settings sync automatically when you connect the iPod, or when you click Sync.  So, if there is a playlist with your "iPod songs," you can just update that playlist (add and remove songs) whenever you want; iTunes updates the iPod with the same changes at the next opportunity.

  • I downloaded iOS 7 and now my notes won't sync with iCloud

I downloaded iOS 7 and now my notes won't sync with iCloud.  Also, all of my notes on iCloud aren't on my phone anymore, but they are still on my computer. Can somebody please advise how to fix this issue?  Thank you!

Sounds like they are being overwritten by the server as soon as you reconnect.  With some effort you may be able to prevent this and recover your notes if you try the steps in Winston Churchill's post here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/22600445#22600445.

My iPhone has two identical options under "iTunes wi-fi sync" that are the same computer. I only have one user on my computer, and I tried moving my iTunes file in Finder to organize it and now my library's not synced with my phone. Help?

I have the same problem. Right now my iPhone 5S shows 3 instances of the computer to which it is connected under Settings » General » iTunes WiFi Sync. I'm having problems connecting and syncing, and this is probably the cause: the phone chooses one of these connections, and it isn't the one that's actually in use. What's probably happening is that the phone and computer establish a connection using a dynamic IP address, the address becomes "disassociated" due to error, another address is associated, the phone retains each address/link, and each link is displayed as if it represents a separate computer (the fact that the name of the computer is identical is ignored, as the only thing that is considered important is the IP address). But that's all conjecture. More important, I'm not sure how to fix the problem. A network reset doesn't do it.

  • I lost all the songs on my itunes and now my phone will not sync with out loosing all my music

my computer hard drive crashed and i had to re download itunes and now my phone will not sync without erasing all my music

That is correct.  The iphone will sync with one and only one computer/library at a time.  If you sync to another then it will indeed erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer/library.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use this to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases
You will also need to enter one unique contact and calendar entry in the computer .  When you first sync, you should get the option to merge.  Otherwise this data will be erased as well.
Much easier to use your backup copy to put everything back.

I can't view my icloud emails from my 4s any more. I can log into incloud and view them though. Mt icloud credentials have already been added to my phone and I previously could view them.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Mail Off, then after a few seconds turn it back on.  This deletes, then adds back your iCloud email account.  (You won't lose any email by doing this.)  Then test your account again.

  • I bought a new computer and now my phone won't sync calendar with outlook

I bought a new computer and after I set up Windows with Outlook 2010 I tried to sync my Iphone with Outlook, but no luck. The phone used to sync with the old Outlook program.

Did you transfer all of your iTunes content/iTunes library to the new Mac? If you didn't, have you transferred purchases into the new iTunes library from the iPad?

  • I just got a new computer, and now my ipod will not sync to my new one, even though i "deauthorized" my old one? help please?

As the title says really. I deauthorized my old computer and therefore i thought that would mean i could sync my ipod, when i authorized my new one but it won't sync to my library on this laptop. why?

Before you start, remember that connecting to a new iTunes library will erase your device during the first sync.
Here's how to save your data and settings: How to back up your data and set up as a new device
After that you can connect it and set it up again. If it is not recognized in iTunes, follow this article: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

  • I am running 3 ipods off my computer and now Only my touch will sync. Help!

I am running 3 Ipods off my computer the oldest one was bought last September and now all of a sudden only the touch will sync? Why is this and how can i get them to all work again? Please help!

It sounds as if this is a settings issue. At the moment I run 4 devices from the one machine. My iPod classic is the main device and I have it set to auto sync when attached, the others are set to only transfer the songs I want to transfer.
When you connect the device on the settings tab (top of screen) you will have 3 parts to the screen: a) iPod - this will show you the device ID etc inc serial number; b) Version - whether you have the most update version of iTunes; and c) Options. This allows you to tick the options you want including the sync of the selected songs.
If all else fails on the version section there is an option to restore the iPod to factory settings.
    Hope this helps

  • I wiped my computer and now my iphone will not sync

Last week I wiped my windows in order to speed it up. I then reinstalled windows and all the programs I originally had
As well as reinstalling iTunes, I restored my iPhone to it's factory settings. Now when I try to sync it, it will now work.
Whilst syncing it says step 1 out of 3 instead of 1 out of 6 that is usually does.

Hopefully you didn't erase content and settings on the phone, because then you would have no content on either phone or computer.  Not advisable to do both this to both computer and phone at the same time!  I suspect the reason that only 3 things are syncing instead of 6, is that you know longer have any settings backed up to be synced.
