Hyperion 9.3.1 installation Sequence

Hi All,
Can anybody please give me the Hyperion 9.3.1 installation sequence steps. Untill now I have installed
1. Shared Services
2. Essbase Server
so what will be next. Is it Hypeiron Planning or Workspace?
Any help will be appreciatable

I am new to Hyperion EssBase, I download the software from oracle Site, and installed the client and server. But where i am configuring the Server Its ansking Share server[means i think my system name] i given like that, but its giving me error, incorrect details...
Please sugess me How to install and Hypersion Essbase in my laptop...

Hello Gyan,
   There are many combinations in which you can do your installation sequence. Here is what I have followed successfully.
   Install J2EE 6.30 SP3 (Central system, Java
   Patch J2EE 6.30 to Stack 5 (SP8)
   Install EP6.0 SP3
   Upgrade KMC to Stack 4 (SP6)
   Install KMC SP6 Patch 2
   Upgrade to EP 6.0 to Stack 4 (SP6)
   Install KMC Stack 2 (SP4)
   Upgrade EP6.0 to Stack 5 (SP7)
   Upgrade KMC to Stack 5 (SP7)
   Patch both EP6.0 and KMC to SP7 Patch 2

We have installed Nakisa SAP OrgChart in Windows 2003 Server. I have another doubt on this application. The product installation shows the following information:
Product Information
Name : OrgChart
Product Version : 3.0
Build Version : 3.0.89.1
License Type : Soft Demo
License End Date : 12/17/2009
This indicates that the license we have application is only for DEMO. Can you advice how to obtain a long-term license for our application? We only obtained the installers from SAP Service Marketplace

I just got my used ATI Radeon 9800 PRO MAC AGP 128MB card.
What is the correct installation sequence into my Quicksilver 867 G4 running 10.4.11 on one drive 10.5 on another?
The original NVIDIA GeForce2 MX - 32MB SDRAM went bust.
Is the driver build in 10.4?
Do I remove the old driver?
If I need to install the driver that came with it, (10.3.6) should the card be installed first?
What about firmware updates?

Windows 7 OEM parallels and Bootcamp, installation sequence?

So ive got a 2013 macbook air and planning on using the OEM licence to firstly create a bootcamp partition, and the having parallels run off the bootcamp partition. Now I understand I might have to go through the whole phone activation the second time. My question is ...what sequence should I use to activate.Should I activate parallels first after the installation of parallel tools or can I just activate bootcamp first????

This is why I originally suggested that you read the activation directions on the Parallels and Fusion sites. They address the issue of Windows thinking that the VM installation is a second installation of Windows when in fact it is not. This is because you are not installing Windows in Parallels you are only pointing to your single Bootcamp installation of Windows. This is an issue that has been addressed by the VM manufacturers.

11.1.3 installation sequence without EPMA architecture

I'm installing Hyperion Shared services, workspace, essbase Planning and reports in our environment.
I installed all components using installtool.cmd.
I'm running confuration utility to configure components following sequence:
1. Configure Shared services using database in SQL 2005
2.Start shared services and authenticating through MSAD
3. Configure Workspace in different database in SQL for WKS.
Configuring Planning using seperate database.
Reran web server configuration again.
My question is that I can not see Classic Planning administration in workspace.
I tried to reconfigure worksapce, but my workspace link stopped working.
I created planning application using http://<planningserver>:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp
but still could not see Classic Application Administration
Please help.

If uninstall is not working, there is very few chance via cmd, I dont know whts ur final intent but still:
First give a try to re-install option, there is might a possibity that some of your files are corrupted. After a fresh re-install, try running uninstall utillty.
or if you wan to clean up your machine, try these steps:
1. Stop all services.
2. Uninstall from the Windows Add and Remove Programs option.
3. Delete all “hyperion” environment variables, including HYPERION_HOME.
4. Delete the entries from registry.
5. In C:\Documents and Settings\install_user\, delete the .oracle.products and
set_hyphome_1.bat files.
6. Rename program files\common files\installshield\universal\common as
program files\common files\installshield\universal\common_hyperion.
7. Restart the system.

Installation sequence using PS7 and PS7 with SRA

Our implementation architecture has three network zones i.e., Internet zone, SSN and data zone. We have two solaris machines. Each machine has one global and three local zones. Every machine zone has a iDM product installation. We did installation in following sequence
1. DS on M1Z1
2. AM on M1Z2
3. IM on M1Z3
Everything works here as expected.
We have received PS7 and PS7 with SRA support bits from Sun.
Can you please let us know which bits to use to complete following installation
4. PS on M2Z1
5. SRAG on M2Z2
6. rewrite on M2Z3
Do you have any documentation on installation of SRAG and rewrite on different machine and these machines does not have portal server installation.

Portal server also requires DS and AM. So, I assume that you are going to point to the instances on M1 when you install portal.
You also will need to install DS on the SRA machine. This directory is only needed during installation. Once things are up and running, then you can disable it.
Start by installing Portal and make sure you install the SRA Core package. You must select this when you install portal the first time because the installer will not let you add it later. This is a known bug.
Then, install the SRA Gateway component following these directions:

These instructions are not entirely correct. Specifically, install everything in "Configure Now" mode.
I don't know about installing Rewriter Proxy on a separate machine. I have not done this yet. Although it is a supported configuration.

Boot Camp Update Installation Sequence for Windows Vista ?

how is the installation order for Boot Camp 3.0 ? Shall I install it after the Windows Vista installation or after the Service Pack 1 or 2 because Boot Camp 2.2 need Service Pack 2. If I look in the Boot Camp 3.0 manuals, there aren't any details about Service Pack 1 or 2.

Hyperion Enterprise 6.3 Installation errror

We have installed Hyperion 6.3 on a new server. The software runs on the server. Users accessing it through a shared network drive get the error "The specified module could not be found", and data entry is locked in all categories. We have duplicated the security settings from the old to the new server but this has not helped. Does anyone have any suggestions?

6.3 ??? This probably has to do with some MSFT patches applied. I have seen where there can be conflicts. What is the O/S? Are you certain they are parallel in terms of fixes that may have been applied?
I think your bigger issue is that 6.4 was released in 2005.
I would strongly recommend moving to a more recent release if you can help it. I believe 6.5.1 is the current release.

Hyperion Analyzer 7.0 installation prooblem

Hello Guys, I tried installing HyperionAnalyzer 7.1, I installed the tomcat that comes along with it andthe installation was successful but when I click the start Analyzerserver the tomcat window starts up and then stops automaticallyalso when i try to launch analyzer through browzer it says page notfound. Can you guys please guide meas to what I might have done wrong, everything seems to be fine asper the installation document. I have tried installing essbase olapfirst and then analyzer and also only analyzer but sameproblem. Thanks in Advance,Nitin 

I have found out the path in is on patch 7.1.0.8 path in directory repository in file sqlscripts.zip.I have created the repository from this files and repository works again!No more help is needed.

Hyperion 9.3.1 Installation Issue

I have successfully installed and configured system 9.3.1. Everything seems to be good but with some issues.
1. I am not able to access planning through Workspace.
2. How can I create Planning application through performance management architech(configured)

Performance Management Architect:
First create a data store for the planning app using the Config Utility if you haven't already.
Assuming you want a test application, locate the .ads file for the sample application which will be located in the Planning directory on the planning server.
Once located, goto the dimension library in EPMA and Click File / Import Profile / Create Profile. Setup a file import profile. Use the .ads file, click next a few times.
Once that's completed you will need to goto the application library, create a new application view, drag the dimensions into that. Select the Planning properties of the application and configure similar to how you would Classic.
Next goto the Application Library, right click on the new application view and select validate -- correct any errors.
Right click on application view and select deploy -- suggest you not check any options first.
Next login to planning -- http://planningserver:8300/HyperionPlanning/LogOn.jsp
You can also use the App Wizard to create a Classic App at: http://planningserver:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp
On your workspace issue suggest re-configuring reports and analysis UI and double checking the planning ports / web server. I've also seen issues if you have DNS issues where it would cause problems however this is probalby not the issue.

after I upload version 4, there are no prompts that follow to install the update on my MacBook air laptop

Eject your phone.
Close iTunes. Open terminal & type the following command or copy & paste:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool false
defaults write com.apple.iTunes AutomaticDeviceBackupsDisabled -bool false
The above are two separate lines.
Hit enter.
Re-boot your computer, launch iTunes, connect your phone. Right-clik in the left device pane. Is the restore from backup option there now?
