Hyperion analyzer essbase error

Hello alll,
I am trying to connect to essbase database (7.1.x) using analyzer, for some reason I am getting an exception
1033 Native 2001 Essbase error, nested exception is com.hyperion.ap.exception (1033) Native 2001 Essbase error.
Can any one face this kind of issue.

I got the answer , it is looking for runtime client dll, for some reason dll was corrupted, reinstallling Run time client fixed this issue.

Hyperion Analyzer "show linked reporting object error"

I try to add a "cell note" on an Analyzer Report thruogh choose "Related Content" option. Then I select "Data Display"-->"Show Linked Reporting Opject Indicator" to indicate report reader the data cell has a cell note. After doing that, suddently, my whole spread sheet showed "No data availiable" and there is an essbase error on the screen:

I am now having the same problem and I trie the methods above butit doesn't work. I have solved the problem by creating symbol links to the essbase library file:libessapi.so -> libessapiu.so.1llibessapiu.so -> libessapiu.so.1libessotl.so -> libessotlu.so.1there are some very important log files which can help to position this problem:Analyzer_install_path/appserver/logs/.....

Reports export in Hyperion Analyzer ver. 7.2.5 gives error ?

IBM websphere application server 5.1.1.10
Oracle database version: 10.1.0.2

I installed the hyperion analyzer v 7.2.5 build 36 with last supported version of oracle 10g i.e 10.1.0.2.I'am able to successfully create reports and save them.Only issue is export of reports.sometimes i'am able to successfully export:simple and advanced reports from one essbase datasource.but from a completly different essbase datasource i'am not able to export even a single ,basic report. i'am enclosing the java console output below:

Out of memory error on Hyperion Analyzer

When I tried to access a report through Hyperion analyzer HTML client, Out Of memory error comes up.I tried changing the virtual memory on windows 2000.Even then I am experiencing the same problem.Environment:Windows2000/Tomcat 4.04/IIS/Analyzer 6.2.1.Is there any parameter or setting to be set on properties file on App server side?Can anyone help me out of this problem?Thanks in advance.Jaya.

I want to ask you one thing. Actually, at the time configuration i gave password as a password, then my manager wants to change that password to Gxxx@123!
I have changed that password, it is working fine to connect workspace, easconsole and all.
But the issue i seen in creating DataSource(In planning), i am getting error with new password in the Essbase server datails. If i give old password(as password), it is working fine.
So, How can get that new password to work here??
In ODI also, it is the issue. When i am using New password it is not working. With Old password it is working fine.

Hi,
If you can reverse the sample basic database and not another database then it probably relates more to the database.
Can you try on another database, I take it the database you are trying to reverse has dimensions and is not just a blank outline.

I am trying to edit a Essbase database connection (change of server), I already edited few connections but for some reason for few cubes it is unable to save , it is throwing an exception saying
Unable to save changes Failed to store: com.hyperion.analyzer.atf.om.HYAUserPreferences:33.
We are using v7.x

Hyperion Analyzer Server

I installed Hyperion Analyzer 7.2.5.3 on the window server. I also installed IIS and it seems to be working. I need to connect this to Essbase and I did change the Essbase server name in Analyzer.properties file, but when I click on the url from my application, I get the error "Page not found".
Does anybody know the cause? Do I need to install Essbase Client version for Windows on the server?

hi,
In order to connect reports, tomcat service should be run contionously. If you logged off the server, these services can be shutdown.
You can make the tomcat service as windows service, so even if you logged off (serivce will remain active).
To move analyzer reports from development to production, take the export (from dev) and import (in prod).
Export is available in analyzer by using File->Export. You can export one report or all reports in one file.
Once export file is complete, copy it in prod server and take the import from analyzer.

I do not believe Analyzer 7 is compatible with Vista.
I tried installing Essbase on Vista and it was a miserable failure. I did, finally, get it to install and run but certain operations, particularly metadata queries (to fill picklists) performed very poorly (for example, 5 to 10 seconds to return a list of 5 members). I punted and had the laptop rebuilt with XP.

OBIEE Evaluate - "Essbase error : Repeated dimension in MDX query"

I'm using OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 on top of Essbase.
I have a project dimension in Essbase with three levels - Total Project -> Project Class -> Project. I have created a new logical column in OBIEE to query two levels from project dimension, using evaluate function as below:
Evaluate('%1.Members, %2.Members', "Oracle Hyperion Planning"."ASOCUBE".""."Planning"."Gen2,Project" , "Oracle Hyperion Planning"."ASOCUBE".""."Planning"."Gen4,Project" ).
The above column when used in analysis, works fine, returning "Total Project" and all the projects. It breaks however when any filter is applied on project dimension with the following error:
"[nQSError: 96002] Essbase Error: Repeated dimension [Project] in MDX query".
I donot have any MDX skills and would appreciate if anyone can explain this error and provide any workaround for this. Here's the MDX that fails:

Dear All,
We created a report in Hyperion Interactive reporting using Hyperion Essbase as database connection file .
We have a substitution variables in Essbase.We want to use the Substitution variables ("CMonth","CYTD") in IR report Substitution variables were already created in Essbase.
In Query when i select Period dimension i saw an option called Substitution variables i selected the variables("CMonth","CYTD").When i hit process button i am getting the following error Message
"server error[1012]:Essbase error[1260052]:Syntax error in input MDX query on line 2 at token 'OctYTD'
Please let me is there a better way to bring the variables in Query.
Any suggestions to resolve issue will be really helpful.

over here Date is attribute dimension which is associated with Entity dimension. I am trying to apply the formula on account saying in which Entity the date is less that 01-01-2013 put 1 else but 0. but i am getting syntax error and not able to figure out. any help will be great.

Hi All,
When I am trying to resync my securioty from HSS 11.1.1.1 to my essbase 9.3.1 I am getting this folowing error.
hyperion shared services error 1051522 - Analytical Services failed to get group's member tree with Error MSAD porvider could not be contacted
I have already checked for any corrupt application on essbase but alll the esssbase apps are fine.

Hyperion Shared services Error (9.3.1)

I have registered the essbase analytic services with shared services. when i select the Analytic serviecs application through the shared services windows i am getting the hyperion shared services error "Unable to connect the application.Please contact the serevr administrator" and also i am geting Network Error (dns_unresolved_hostname)
Your requested host "server name" could not be resolved by DNS.
Please help.
