Hyperion Reports Error when running a report against HFM application

Hi,
Trying to run a report that the source is a HFM app and get this error:
5200: Error executing query: ALE syntax error near: line number 1 position 137 token Period
Anyone know what might be the cause.. I have no idea as to what it could be. I'm not a Reports expert, mainly an Essbase person...

Hello Suman,
Check the table rszglobv for this variable - ZCONLEH.
If it is available there then see which infoobject it belongs to and then look for that in the query designer. May be resaving the query solves the issue.
If the variable is not available in the table, then it seems that the variable is lost and you might have to recreate it for keeping the semantics of the query the same as it was before the upgrade.

I'm receiving a consistently reproducible error when running redis-benchmark against a new B1 instance of Redis cache. Ran redis-benchmark both from local machine, and an Azure VM.
Create B1 instance of Redis cache (2.8)
Download redis-benchmark.exe from https://github.com/MSOpenTech/redis/releases/download/win-2.8.19/redis-2.8.19.zip
Run redis-benchmark.exe -h <instance>redis.cache.windows.net -t lpush,lrange_100,lrange_300,lrange_500,lrange_600

Error when running a report in BPC NW

I am getting the following error when running a report for my application in BPC NW.
EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server (retrying in (X) seconds).
This error comes with this dialog option box to either continue or cancel retrying retrieving data. Retrying doesn't help either.
Any report I run (on any of my appsets), I get this error. I used the EVDRE function and also tried running a report using the template as the basis. But I get the error either way.
Does anyone know why this error is occurs or how to debug this issue. I saw some information about this in earlier threads but could not make much out of it.
Appreciate any assistance.

This is a very generic error...Couple of places to look for....
1)Reprocess the application (Modify application + Reassign SQL Index + Process Application)
2)optimizing the application sometimes helps (Full Optimize + Compress Database + Index defragmentation).
3)Create a "evdataserver_debug.txt" in user's private publication folder on server side to populate very detail level logging and check the log on client side EVDRE_LOG.txt for further peek into where things are getting messed up.
if evdataserver_debug.txt does not get populated on BPC 5.x...it is an issue with IIS authetication on Application server.
4)You have to check the event viewer into .NET server and also the BPC logs which can be found into
BPC\Logging for further details ..

Getting the following error when running a webi report on BI query :
A database error occured. The database error text is: The MDX query SELECT { [Measures].[D8JBFK099LLUVNLO7JY49FJKU] } ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY [ZCOMPCODE].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ON ROWS FROM [ZTEST_CUB/REP_20100723200521] failed to execute with the error Unknown error. (WIS 10901).
I have gone through many threads related to this error. But not able find the steps to follow for resoultion.
Please help in this regard.

Win 7 automation error when running crystal 10 reports

I am getting automation and memory type errors when running crystal 10 reports through a VB6 application on WIN 7 32 bit PC...
does not happen on all win7 PCs, in fact, the reporting will work for a time and then errors, but once getting the errors, seems like the reports will not run again.

Honestly, not a clue. I've never even thought of putting CR 10 (designer or runtime) on WIN 7. Now I assume this is not CR 10.5 (bundles with .NET 2008).

Hi Simon,
Looking at the exception, it seems the machine is so slow that it could not give enough time for the report engines to start up can also result in this exception.
Please try the following :
Increase the callbacktimeout parameter for the report server. In server conf file that increase the callbacktimeout parameter for the report server from 1 minute (60000 milliseconds) to 3 minutes(180000 milliseconds)

Intermitten Errors when running reports in Crystal Report Viewer

Give it a try by using the close and dispose method for report object and also use the GC.collect.

Corba error when running rich clients in 3-tier mode.

I am dealing with an Error when running Rich Clients (WebI and DeskI) with 3-tier ODBC connection to the server.
The client does come up and I'm able to create the query but when the data in refreshed I do get the error:
A database error occured. The database error text is: (CS) "CORBA Initialization failed". (WIS 10901).
I have a test server which I'm able to do this kind of connection without a problem but when I try to connect to the Prod server in 3-tier data connection mode throught the server I get this error.
My setup is:
BO XI R 3.1 FP. 2.1
Clients are also updated with FP 2.1
The data sources are Oracle and Teradata.

Tomcat 5.5 is using Servlet 2.4 & JSP 2.0.
Have you compiled the taglib using the correct version of servlet.jar ?

Error when running deltareport

Hi,
I encounter an error when running the delta report:
"Error when reading data from SAP R/3 for object type Manufacturing Orders
Error when selecting using module /SAPAPO/CIF_DELTA3_SEL_FROM_R3"
Can anyone tell me what is the cause of this error. We run the deltareport everyday, and we never encounter this error before.

Hi Sim,
Please check the CIF queues inbound and outbound from APO. There is some CIF queue there which is causing this error. Basically you are trying to reconcile data when there is already some CIF queue existing thereby blocking RFC channel

Runtime Error, when running midlet.

I can build the midlet without problems. This error occurs when the emultator starts the midlet. I can se the phone for a sec or two then i turns of and the error occurs in the console.
I am using, j2me, eclipse, eclipseme, cldc1.1,mipd2.2.

Seems to be an error with the emulator not with the build priocess.
