Hyperv 2008 R2 Snap shot

I have 3 node Hyperv 2008 R2 cluster and 15 VMs loaded in it. One of the VM is having a snapshot that is taken two years back and now I need clear this snaphot instance without lossing data. Can any one suggest the best way to do this.

Remove the snapshot using hyperv manager, it will merge the next time the
VM is shut down, pretty simple.
here's the problem, if that snapshot is very old and very large you will need a bunch of time and bunch of disk space. so before you delete and shutdown go to location where the VHD is stored you will see a VHD and a AVHD file assume the VHD will grow by
the size of the avhd so if you don't have enough disk space free for the merge you'll have to get some before trying the merge.

We are using Oracle 9i. When I refresh M Views manually they are executing fine.
Initionally while creating M Views. I did a auto refresh for every 4 hours. After a week of sucessfull execution they error out giving snap shot too old error.
Upon my DBA request We have increased UNDO space from 500 MB to 2 GB.
And also removed AUTO refresh of M Views and created a procedure to refresh M View one after the other and scheduled to run 4 times a day.
Logic is to avoid parallel M View refresh.
However, non this helped to resolve snap shot too old error.
Now My DBA is asking increase the space by 2 more GB. I think the issue is some thing else.
Similar jobs are running perfectly in my Dev environment (DATA is almost same 10% varience) with UNDO size 500 MB.
Can you please help me here.

first is about undo parameters, what is the value of undo retention and how many time execute the refresh.
second. Can you modify your undo to autoextend?
third. Who is using the undo?

Stock snap shot

We have implemented 2LIS_03_BX for Initial stock( Till day) and 2LIS_03_BF for movements ( from today).
So we are not loading any past movements.we are interested only in movements from today.
Now, the clients wants to see the weekly(starting from current week) snap shot of stock quantities and values(Like total inventory quantities and Values). For this scenario, 2LIS_03_BX and 2lis_03_BF are suffiecient if i read the material value from the MBEW table in update rule? or do i need to implement 2LIS_03_UM as well?...If i use 2LIS_03_UM will satisfy my requirement?.

Hi Mummaneni,
Based on your client requirement, loading data from BF after initializing stock using BX would be sufficient to view your stock qty for each day provided you load the data daily.
Also ensure you do the marker update for BX and no marker update for initialized BF.
You can get your MAP values against your Material from MBEW table which BF does not bring. There is a separate datasource that provides MAP values against Material...otherwise you could simply enhance BF with a new field. BF normally provides you the unit and total purchase value of the goods.
UM is used to get the revaluations at cost that may happen from time to time. It is similar to the sales price revaluations that you find in Retail based industries which frequently require use of 2LIS_40_REVAL datasource.
If it suits your requirement to get the price changes at cost, you may very well get BF data too...it might be necessary, I would say. Also do a no marker update for BF initialized update for the first time incase you have some historical from R/3.

We have three HyperV 2008 R2 datacenter server and they are in Cluster. recently some VM instants are going down frequently with I/O device error. These server is pinging but not accessible either remote or direct connect. I am getting

According to the errror , please check if the integration services were installed on these VMs .
What is the OS of problematic VMs ?

is based on authorization object /SAPSRM/TL. The authorization object is
not part of the standard SAP SRM PFCG roles. A normal user shall not have this authorization object
because the authorization object belongs to the authorization class BC_C (Basis - Development Environment).

Snap shot hangs AE (CS5)

Hi,
So I take snap shots while Im colour grading. Ive been using Colorista II a lot lately and anytime I use the snap shot feature AE hangs. It's fine when I initially take the shot. The problem happens when I review the snap shot. I only mention Colorista just incase there is a known bug but it happens without it too. Running CS5 on a MacPro 2.8 (8 core) Latest software versions of everything.

them into one file; however, I've had no luck with the saving part. Can

Hi Molana,
If you are looking to save these images to file, you can use either the IMAQ Writefile VIs, or potentially the AVI writefile VIs. These VIs are both on the FIle I/O palette of the Vision Utilities subpalette. To write an AVI file, you <b>open</b>, write to, and then <b>close</b> a session, very similar to most processes in LabVIEW.
I also noticed in your code that you are enumerating your USB cameras and closing the camera session all within the while loop. This adds a great deal of overhead and time to your acquisition process. I would recommend moving these processes outside of the acquisition loop, such that they occur once before and once after the snaps.
If you are still having trouble acquiring, I would recommend that you download and install the NI IMAQ driver. It includes examples for snapping and saving images with NI IMAQ. This process is extremely similar to that which you would use in NI IMAQ for USB.
