I accidentally deleted an important page in NOTES.  Is there any way to retrieve this?

If you have backed up the iPad since you created that page of notes and if you have not synced since, you can try restoring the iPad from a backup. Remember that the notes do have to be in the backup and when you restore from a backup, you restore all app data and files from that backup. You cannot select specific content to restore to the iPad. It is all or nothing.
If you want to try this, turn off auto sync in iTunes - without the iPad connected to the computer. Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preference>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Check the box at the bottom, click OK. Make sure that you have a backup in that window as well. Click OK and quit iTunes.
Now connect the iPad and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left and select  - Restore from Backup. Select your backup from the window - Let the iPad restore and then sync with iTunes.
you can turn at sync back on again when you are done.

  • I just got Pages for my iPad. I am learning Mac. I spent hours on a document last night. This morning the document is there but it is completely blank. Did I somehow delete content? If so! What did I do? Is there any way to retrieve this document????

I just got Pages for my iPad.  I am learning Mac. I spent hours on a document last night that has no content this morning.  The document is there but it is completely blank.  Did I accidentally delete the content?  If so, how?  Is there any way to retrieve this content?

I'm not sure what happned either but If you are doing this via iTunes, iTunes should have backed up the iPad first. It can take a good bit of time when you update with iTunes on your computer because iTunes downloads and installs the entire iOS all over again. If you are running iOS 5 on the iPad, and you will be now, you can update OTA via WiFi in the future and the process takes far less time since you will only be downloading an incremental update.
If you are syncing on a regular basis with iTunes, you should have a recent backup. In the worst case scenario, you should be able to restore from the backup. And as stated aboce, you can download all apps again and virtually all purchased content from iTunes (if you live in the U.S.) and you can always sync your iTunes library back to the iPad.
Let the update finish and see where you are then. Come back if you need help.

  • If I've accidentally deleted a Notes page on my iPhone, is there any way of retrieving it.

I've accidentally deleted a page in Notes. Is there any way I can retrieve the information on the page?

Another way if you have not a backup, that is using a third party iPhone Data Recovery to get your lost notes back.
    Anyway, try better than no.
If you did the backup of your notes before deleting then you can easily recover deleted notes on iPhone by the following steps:
    1. First don’t connect your iPhone directly to computer because the iTunes only saves the most recent backup
    2. Now make sure that you have a valid backup as listed iTunes> preferences> devices
    3. Before connecting your iPhone make sure to check iTunes>preferences> devices “prevent iPhone from syncing automatically.” Because this will ensures we don’t erase the previously stored backup. Then select “OK” and close the window after checking “ don’t sync”
    4. Now connect your iPhone to your computer and run iPhone Data Recovery .
    5. Select the iPhone as seen in the left bar of iTunes, as listed under the devices .
    6. Select version and click on restore from options.
    7. It takes a while to for iPhone to erase itself, reset and restart.
    8. After the iPhone is restart you will see Set Up Your iPhone in iTunes on your computer, and now just click the restore from the backup and click continue. It will take 10 to 12 minutes to recover your deleted notes, photos, music, videos, etc.

  • I think my wife deleted my entire itunes library in error.  Is there any way to retreive this?

I think my library was deleted from my computer.  is there a way to get this back? How can I DL songs  that I have purchased on itunes back to my computer. I tried to go in through itunes but it wont let me download them again. PLEASE HELP

    Did you follow these steps?

Click "To download previously purchased apps, books, music, or TV shows to your computer" for step by step instructions.
You may also want to look into a simple backup routine for Windows XP.
If you are not sure if it is actually deleted, you may want to try "Add to Library" under iTunes' "File" menu.

  • After removing the "Live Security Platinum" virus, Firefox crashes every time I close it and it runs very slowly (v14.0.1). Is there any way to fix this?

Firefox doesn't exactly crash while I'm using it. The thing is that when I close it and reopen it, it says it crashed and offers to restore the previous session. To my knowledge, this didn't happen until after I had the "Live Security Platinum" virus and removed it. Firefox is also very, very slow. Has anyone else had this particular problem?

Hi there, sorry about your problems. It could be that the virus remover didn't fully clean up Firefox.
Try the Reset Firefox feature, which should restore it back to a normal working state without removing your personal data such as bookmarks: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems?s=reset+firefox&r=0&e=es&as=s#os=mac&browser=fx13

  • HT4236 I tried to synch to iTunes and it deleted the photos on my phone instead. Is there any way to retrieve them?

I recently lost all of my files do to a hard drive crash. The backup service (which I will never use again) didn't back all of my photos up, but I had them on my phone. I hooked the phone up and it automatically went into some sort of synch mode, but instead of putting the photos onto iTunes, it deleted all of the photos from my phone! Now they are synched with the smaller set, and I've lost precious photos! I'm so upset!! Is there anything I can do or is it lost.
I have some on my iTunes but I'm afraid to synch and loose those as well. can someone help me?
    I'm on iPhone 4
    iTunes 10.7
    thank you

    Quit the photos app
Double tap home button, hold icon til it wiggles the tap the red dot

  • My old harddrive died, I got a brand new one, and I'm trying to put more music onto my ipod without it trying to sync and delete my old music currently on it. Is there any way to avoid this?

as topic implies, I still have all the music from my old harddrive on here. I would like to...well...keep it, obviously, so I'm trying to find a way to add it to my iphone without it murdering the rest of my music because it has to sync it. I've tried checking off manually syncing music and such and when I click apply, it tries to remove everything off.
any way around this or do I have to use another program of sorts?

Yes. I have no personal experience with this, but it is possible to recover your music from an iPod. See this link: http://guides.macrumors.com/Recovering_Songs_from_an_iPod

  • If there any way to retrieve a deleted form? Ugh. Hope so!

I accidentally deleted a forum that I wanted to reuse- Is there any way to retrieve this?
    Thanks!

You can recover it if it is in an iCloud or iTunes backup otherwise it is gone.

  • Is there any way to retrieve past appointment information from Iphone calendar.  All disappeared. (kind of important, Apple)

I need to find past work dates and information for taxes and claims, etc, but the calendar app seems to have erased everything dating back further than a few weeks. Is there any way to retrieve this? The IOS walk thru doesnt explain that not syncing ALL EVENTS means they'll all be erased.  Dumb.  This is kind of imprtant, Apple, for an 'everything' device.  Please advise. Post-setting to 'all events' has not restored the info... Thank you!

Not sure what you mean by 'turn off calendars'.  Do you mean under 'accounts' that i should delete the  previously synched calendar accounts from the iphone and then turn it back on?  This will restore all the information?
    thank you.

  • I deleted a very important pages file from my iPad and I need it back

I deleted a very important pages file from my iPad and I need it back pronto! I just updated my iPad without a computer and it had the file there. I need to know how to get back the file very quickly.
    thx in advance

Thne unfortunately, your document is gone. You can restore lost or deleted documents from backups if you have backups - and as long as the backup contains the document - but if you did not copy the file to your computer - or backup the iPad, the document is gone.
You really should start backup up your iPad. You can sign up for a free 5GB iCloud account right on the iPad and then you can use iCloud for backing up. You can do it right on the iPad.

  • Is there any way to retrieve accidentally deleted source clips?

I accidentally deleted source clips for a video project, and now the viewer won't show my video (although I can still see the frames when I run my cursor over the project). Is there any way to retrieve the files or show iMovie where to find the source clips on my computer, kind of like how it's possible to show iTunes where to find source mp3s on my computer when they're moved from the iTunes file? Since I can still see the frames when I move my cursor over the clips (with the exclamation points in the corners), it seems as though the memory of the edited clips must still be in iMovie somehow and be recoverable. Any help would be appreciated - I'd really like to avoid having to re-import and re-edit all of those clips!

    Basics of File Recovery
    Files in Trash
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location.  OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. If a program does an immediate delete rather than moving files to the Trash, then the files are gone.  Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When files are deleted only the directory entries, not the files themselves, is modified. The space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage, but the files are still on the drive. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
    General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro.  Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.  Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk.  Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

You should ALWAYS import all pics ( and anything selse for that matter) before any update.
If you failed to do this, then the pics are likely gone.  You can try restoring from backup.
