I accidentally synced my iPhone 4 to another account before I had the chance to back up my files, is there any way to retrieve the photos that were on my iPhone?

I had an iPhone 4 that got stolen and just got a new one, so after I had taken important photos I plugged the phone into iTunes and it accidentally restored to my old iPhone data and uploaded all that information, deleting the new photos before I had a chance to back them up. I don't suppose there is any way of retrieving this lost data?

If these are photos that were synced to your phone, the only way to extract them from your phone is third-party software, like this:

Can they go out of my account? Their content is saved on their iPads, but can another iCloud be on the same home computer?

  • HT1386 After syncing my iphone I found that all of my notes were erased from the phone.  Is there any way to retrieve the notes now that they have been erased?

After syncing my iphone I found that all of my notes were erased from the phone.  Is there any way to retrieve the notes now that they have been erased?  I had some very important notes that I have to be able to find.  Anyone know how?

I think those contacts still in iphone database. So you can back up you iphone with itunes to get iphone database off your iphone. Then access the SQLite batabse.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
All data included with the backup is stored in a SQLite database format with the data within various folders not easily accessible. There are some 3rd party utilities that provide for extracting select data from an iPhone's backup and iphone database such as this one.

    Hello Irene,
you should have a look at Adobe's database, to see what's stored/saved about your accounts. Here you will find general infos about your Adobe Account
https://www.adobe.com/account.html and to find your serial number have a look there http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html

leave the phone in rice for >24 hours to see if it will recover
you can check itunes as well to see if there are backups there from the top of the screen hit edit (itunes on mac) > preferences > devices , and see if a backup is listed
also check icloud.com to see if you had any of the information backed up there (only possible if have have a 3gs or higher)
also there are data recovery companies that can recover data even from wrecked hard drives but its not cheap, if your interested in that I would say lookup a company called drivesavers, I believe they are authorized to work on even in warranty iphones
    good luck

  • My iPhone 5c is dead, is there any way to retrieve my photos?

My phone suddenly died, and wouldn't switch on or charge. The back-light was on, but no colour/image/symbol. As a result I took it in to Apple and they pronounced my phone dead . Now it won't switch on or anything, regardless of whether I charge it or not. I'm still in the current process of mourning for my loss.
However, I never synced my phone to iTunes or iCloud. Is there any way, no matter the cost, that I could retrieve my images? (they're of my family and little brother, and lots of special moments in the past year). Is there any hardware inside that could be placed into an alternate iPhone that could restore my data? I have no idea myself so maybe I can get help here.
    Any help is appreciated x

Apple have since offered me a replacement so I do have a phone now - (it's strange how they didn't take the old phone back, but perhaps it was because they had to run through my service providers that originally gave me the phone and they'll have to catch up with me now)It's just unfortunate that I've lost those photos, but then again, I should have backed them up. I share an iCloud account so that put me off using it but I'll be sure to have everything backed up from this point forwards. I was just unlucky and naive enough to think my phone would forever be fine. Ahh well, looking at the situation from another perspective, I have a whole lifetime ahead to take photos and preserve memories. Others have it much worse and I guess I should be grateful.
So yup, shame on me indeed :/
Thank you for clarifying my issues though. I'll ensure my saved images are stored in the new iPhone too.

  • I have the iphone 2g with the $20 unlimited data plus 200 texts, is there any way to keep the tiered text messaging plan when I upgrade to the iphone 4s?

I have the original iphone on AT&T with the $20 unlimited data with 200 text messages.  I know that I can keep the unlimited data plan when I upgrade to the iphone 4s, but I would also like to keep my 200 text message plan.  Is there any way for me to keep this feature?  Also on the original Iphone, I could upgrade to the unlimited data plan with 1500 text messages, if I upgrade this feature, will it extend my contract?
    Thanks,
    Ray

Sorry no, there isn't a way to turn off those reminders.

  • Is there any way to retreive deleted videos that were not synced

I deleted a video on my touch and it was not synced to iTunes.   Is there anyway to retrieve it?

No if taken by the iPod. You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
'Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Is there any way I can recover photos that I took after my last iTunes sync? My phone broke and I had to restore it, so I lost the pictures!

Any way the photos are still on the iPhone some how and I just need to access them in a certain way?
    Any help really appreciated!

If your PhotoStream was turned on you might be able to copy the photos from there. Use the photos app and check the PhotoStream album.

  • Is there any way to retrieve deleted photos from my iphone 4?

I deleted some pictures i had on my phone for some stupid reason, and i'd love to have them back, i never did any sort of backup.

No, when you restore from a backup your settings and data revert to those contained in the backup.  There isn't a way to selectively save a portion of the backup on your phone while restoring to a newer backup.  The only way to accomplish this would be to try to extract the photos you want from your earlier backup using 3rd party software like iPhone Backup Extractor, and then sync the extracted photos back to your phone using iTunes.
Also, if you do try to restore to your earlier backup, you have to do this carefully or you will overwrite it by automatically syncing.  The process to follow would be:
First confirm that the earlier backup exists by, without connecting your phone to your computer, opening iTunes and going to Preferences.  Here look at the list of available backups.  If you see an earlier one to restore from take note of the name and date of this backup.
On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Now connect your phone, right-click on its name when it appears on the left sidebar in iTunes and choose Restore from Backup
Select your earler backup to restore from and let the restore process complete
Go back to iTunes Preferences and re-enable automatic syncing if you prefer this

  • The apps on my iphone 4 are not responsive. The power/lock button is broken. Is there any way to reboot the phone?

All apps are not responsive including 'Settings'. They quit as soon as you open it.
The power/lock button is not working.
I tried iTunes... there's no 'reboot' option (how sad...) and it for some reason not willing to restore my system.
Anyone has any solution to this?

    Hello there, SmartLeeShore.
As far as troubleshooting the main issue you're describing of apps quitting, you may find the following iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant helpful:
Apple - Support - iPhone - Application Troubleshooting Assistant
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/application/
Would definitely recommend that in Step 3 (Close App) that you close all applicaitons listed in that view.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

  • Is there any way to recover a note that disappeared on my iPhone and iPad?

Is there any way to recover a note that disappeared from my iPad and phone?

You can restore from your iTune or iCloud backup if you have one.

  • I had two backups listed in the information about my icloud account.  I thought the newest backup would have everything.  Is there any way to retrieve what I deleted?  I lost contacts, calendar events, etc.

I, apparently, mistakenly deleted an older backup to iCloud.  I thought the newest backup would have everything - the original infor + what had been saved recently.  So, I deleted the older backup.  Now it seems that contacts and calendar events have been removed from my phone and MacBook.  Is there any way to retrieve that?
    Thanks.

And actually, no I am not sure  that the contacts aren't being restored, but then overwritten by iCloud because it has more recent data.  I don't know how to find that out.
    Thanks.

  • Is there any way to retrieve accidentally deleted source clips?

I accidentally deleted source clips for a video project, and now the viewer won't show my video (although I can still see the frames when I run my cursor over the project). Is there any way to retrieve the files or show iMovie where to find the source clips on my computer, kind of like how it's possible to show iTunes where to find source mp3s on my computer when they're moved from the iTunes file? Since I can still see the frames when I move my cursor over the clips (with the exclamation points in the corners), it seems as though the memory of the edited clips must still be in iMovie somehow and be recoverable. Any help would be appreciated - I'd really like to avoid having to re-import and re-edit all of those clips!

    Basics of File Recovery
    Files in Trash
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location.  OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. If a program does an immediate delete rather than moving files to the Trash, then the files are gone.  Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When files are deleted only the directory entries, not the files themselves, is modified. The space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage, but the files are still on the drive. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
    General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro.  Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.  Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk.  Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

  • I recently set up an itunes account and provided my information HOWEVER I also provided an improper email address. Is there any way to recover the information? Please advise. Thanks.

Like the subject line says - I set up a new account in itunes. Put in my personal information (credit card, address) but - when it came time to provide my email address - I gave one that does not belong to me (similar to my name but not my correct address). Is there any way to retrieve the information I inputted OR put in my correct email address?
    Thanks.

go to appleid.apple.com.  Click on manage my acct.  sign in using the email you provided (even if it is wrong, it is the one you provided, so technically it is your username.)  Once you sign in, it should have your details right there, it will say "apple ID and primary email address" and to the irgh of that, it will say edit.  choose edit, and provide the correct info.
