I am a computer idiot. HELP
My house has wireless through a Linksys router. Everything was working fine until this Christmas. I bought my sons new laptops (WiFi enabled). We can't seem to hook them up to the wireless network. I know our security password, but I think the set up keeps asking for a Network number or some such thing. Is there some other number I should have other than the password to get the new computers hooked up? If so, how do I find such a thing.

Well in order to hook up the new laptop to the existing network you may need the wep keys or the network keys rather than the password/passphrase.
This may either a 10 digit or a 26 digit alphanumeric password.
The other way of receiving this wep key is connect one of your Pc to the router and log into the setup page of the router with http://192.168.1.1 username leave blank and the password is admin. On the wireless tab under the wireless security screen you and get the wep keys.

OK, I understand. Try this ... it's much safer. It will simply restore your backup, but not do anything to your iOS:
While your iPhone is plugged in to iTunes, right click on the iPhone icon on the left side of the iTunes display.
Choose "Restore from backup ..." from the pop-up menu that appears.
Again, what this will do is place that backup back on your iPhone without changing iOS. So you should be very confident in the backup contents before doing this. -
After updating my iPhone4s to the lastest update my photostream stopped updated onto my comuter. From my phone it looks like pictures have been moved into the photostream folder... but they are not showing up on my computer. Help!
I have signed out then back into the cloud. I have comfirmed location of the photostream folder. Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:

- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

If you have not been able to install iTunes because the Windows Installer service is not available, I would recommend the troubleshooting in the following troubleshooting to help.
Issues installing iTunes for Windows
These in particular:
Make sure you have an administrator account.

Disable conflicting software.

Itunes doesn't list all of my recent podcasts. My show is Black Tribbles and it only shows episodes through March 2013, however we do at least two shows a week and they aren't listed. The feed works because the show update to my computer. Help please.

When subscribed to in iTunes the recent episodes show, but the Store hasn't updated for some time.
There appears to be an issue with the feed. In the episode 'WRESTLING MARCH MADNESS: Final Bracket & Championship' of 31st March you will find in the 'description' tag the following line:
4. KURT ANGLE
At the end of this line is an invisible character which seems to be wrecking the feed - although it works OK when suscribing in iTunes it won't load in a browser (and I also found the feed very slow to load, which won't help matters with the Store)
This sort of thing usually happens when you paste text in from a word processing application and manage to include one of the invisible control characters. I don't know how easy it will be do do it in Podomatic but you should delete that entire line and retype it to remove this charter.
You should keep an eye on the time it takes the feed to be accessed - if there is a long enough delay (and it was quite some seconds when I tried) the Store may well timeout and fail to read it. At the moment it's showing a cached version from the last time it was able to read it. -
it worked yesterday but not today and it is only a new ipod touch, it will not even be recognised on my itunes but yet it can charge off my computer. need help!

Old computer died, how do I get songs to new computer? HELP!!
My old computer's hard drive died. I am trying to hook my iPod up to my new computer to get my music onto the new computer's iTunes. The directions in the Applie help section don't work b/c they assume I can use my old computer to help with the transition. How do I do this without losing all my music?
HP Windows XPTry one of these;
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), there's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer.
The above methods may depend on what version of iTunes you are running.
If none of these methods work, try CopyPod.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
