I am a PC user now adjusting to the iMac. How can I change the font setting so that every app is the same font...larger than what is currently showing?
I am new to th imac, having used a PC all of my life. I would like to set the text size for all applications, is this possible?
You can only do that globally by changing the screen resolution. In OS X it is on an application by application basis, if you can change it at all. For instance, for finder windows choose View menu > Show view options. In Text Edit in Preferences > New Document. Mail > Format > Show Fonts but this is only for messages text.
In short, Apple wants you to live with what you've got and dosen't make it easy to change any fonts except the ones you use to compose.

I updated my software in my iPad, can't connect to App Store or iTunes, It says that I have to change to US account, right now I'm in Mexico, how can I change it to my US account
Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must click Apply in order for any changes to take effect.
2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist. -
i had a power mac g4 into which i put 3, 320 gb PATA hard drives in a raid slice config so that it worked as one drive needless to sat that i lost the g4 to a surge but the drives are good. now i have an imac, how can i recover the info off those drives. can i put the drives in external cases and plug them all in, will the imac see them as a raid slice then help please
Before you have another accident:
Buy a UPS of good quality and sufficient to your needs.
I would have to assume that the drives were connected to a PCI PATA card, hopefully. Otherwise, well RAID and having drives on the same bus (master and slave).
And no backup, none at all...
Get your hands on a G4.
Data Rescue 3 from Prosoft maybe.
If they were SATA and running on PCI SATA controller, very popular and common really in G4s, more options would be open. -

How can i change so a program autostart on every user?
Hey
I have install a program with ARD on 90 macs, then i want the program to autostart when the user login.
So how can i change so a program autostart on every user?
Imac Mac OS X (10.4.9)Workgroup Manager should make this a fairly simple task.
First, use it to create a new group containing all of the users you specify. Then, for the group, go to the Login Items preference, and set the program to start up there.
Workgroup Manager, if you don'rt already have it installed, is part of the Server Admin Tools, a free download from Apple. -
Files that used to be visible are now hidden in Mavericks 10.9.1. How can I change the setting to view the same files as before? I do not need the hidden files that are typically invisible.
I am having trouble locating such files as PDF's INDD, AI etc. When I view all hidden files and try to open it in the program..it looks like it is really not on the drive. Has anyone come across a solution? You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this, boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

I purchased a used iPhone at a rummage sale. The previous user's password is still intact, so I am unable to get into the phone. (No service plan yet.)

computer to restore as a new iPhone. -
I share my apple account with my three children. Inappropriate apps were purchased. Everyone denied making the purchase. Is there anyway I can find out which device made these purchases?
If only one of them purchased the app(s), wouldn't it only be on that one device (plus the computer's iTunes library if you have automatic downloads turned on)?

I just upgraded to a new MacBook and my wife is inheriting my old MacBook Air. How can I change the her MacBook Air to now be fundamentally hers? That is, so the House Icon under Users folder is her name and not mine? Also the default AppleID for purchase stubbernly remains my own.
You do not mention it, but I will assume you are running OS 10.9.1.
Go to: Apple menu / System Preferences / Users & Groups. Click the padlock and enter your password.
Click the + (plus sign) and set up a new account for your wife. You have to enter a bunch of info. And then create the correct Login Options. Automatic login does not require a password from the selected user.
When that is done, verify the account works by restarting the computer and login as your wife.
Make sure that any applications in your own Users folder that will be needed are moved to the Applications folder in your wife's Users folder.
Now go back to Users and Groups, click the padlock and authenticate, select your own account, and hit the - (minus sign). This step cannot be reversed, so you might want to wait a few days before doing it.
When your wife is logged in, the App Store will know. -
