Does the mic work for other apps like Voice Control?
Does the mic work OK in other devices?

Unless you want to go through the full routine of deleting the Apple ID and any personal information...and keep in mind, all content is owned by the Apple ID used to download it so nothing on there can be updated.
Go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores > Apple ID and remove the ID.
Go to Settings > iCloud or any other place you will have links to your own account and remove the links.
Go to Settings > Mail, Calendars and Contacts and remove all account information.
Go to Settings > Messages and remove all account information
Go to Settings > WiFi and remove all account information.
And so on.

If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled or the iPod been completely restored).
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police in case someone turns it in, and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

Try resetting your phone: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release. You won't lose any data by doing this.

I have 2 iphoto libraries but one is lost, missing, cannot seem to find it... tried an apple care person - they were no help - we use Time Machine for external backup... but cannot find my older iPhoto library! I desperately need some help!

We had to intall a new hard drive and upgraded to Windows 8.1. We can see all our music on I-tunes but when we try to sync the gen 5 nano our new music (since upgrade to 8.1) does not end up on the i-pod. Any ideas.

We recently installed Window 8.1 and now our new music does not sync to our i-pod nano. Any ideas?
We have tried both a generation 5 Nano and new Nano.

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with the iTunes library on your PC. To begin, I see that you recently installed a new hard drive. Did you happen to copy over files from the previous hard drive? If not, I suspect that the iTunes library is no longer locally stored, and what you are seeing is your iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
Do the tracks have a download icon that looks like this?:

WARNING: LONG POST: Needing some help with Java Prog

I hope that this forum can support enough formatting to make the source I'm going to post semi-readable... but here's the problem.
First, the program is supposed to take a positive numerical input and turn it into a numerical palindrome by reversal. It is also supposed to output the number of reversals along with the palindrome. AND, if the palindrome is going to overflow the data type (int) then, it is supposed to anticipate that, and print out the number of times that the numbers were reversed before it would overflow.
The problem that I'm having is that when I check if a number is a palindrome or not with isPalindrome(), it is fine for the first run, but after that, it just freaks out and goes into a semi-infinite loop that is only broken by the test for overflow. So, even if it finds a numeric palindrome, it keeps working until it's going to overflow.
Any ideas are very appreciated, and also, many of the print statements are missing right now because I'm trying to find the problem. There are other print statements that indicate where the execution is in the program, so just ignore them. :)

Using Apple Earphones with Mic and Remote with Ipod Nano (3rd generation)

Hi, I'm just wondering if there is any way i can make the Ipod Nano(3rd generation) compatible with the Apple Earphones with Mic and Remote. I know on the box it says the earphones are only compatible with a few ipods, like the 4th generation ipod nano. But Is there any program i can download or use to allow the ipod to recognize the earphone remote and mic?

I'm quite convinced the answer is no for that Apple mic.
I do believe recording is possible on the Nano 3G with the right attachment. But I don't think the sound comes through the headphone jack the way they do on the nano 4G and iPhone 3G/touch.

Stupidly partition hdd on window7 in IMAC A1311, and now I can not use the IMAC...... Need some help

Just bought a used IMAC A1311 core 2 duo, and there are something called Bootcamp and Window7 on it, and i log in to Window7 and stupidly partition hdd on it, and i think it has formatted everything. now the window7 is error and I do hold (alt) key when I start up the machines , it show only the window7 hdd and i don't see any Recoery HDD........what should i do? Really need some helps right now.........

There are several models that use A1311. So I don't know exactly what model you have. If you received installer discs with the computer, then you will need to boot from Disc 1, erase the drive, and install Snow Leopard. Some models in the A1311 line can use Internet Recovery:
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer.

Using Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic on my Macbook

Is it possible to use the remote to control volume on my macbook? I know the mic works but I can't get the remote to. Is it even possible to use the remote?

I have a unibody Macbook with OSX 10.6.1 and it works with my Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic. However, whenever I plug them in to the Macbook it takes up to 10 seconds for the volume and tracking controls to start working on the earphone remote. Also, if there is music playing in iTunes, the audio drops out for about the same amount of time. The hardware buttons on the Macbook also stop functioning during this time. The same behavior occurs when unplugging the earphones.
Basically, it seems like the Macbook is extremely slow when adding / removing the earphones as an audio control device.
Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Thanks!

Click the Edit button next to: Edit Payment Information
You can edit your billing information there.

- Another USB port
- Reboot the computer
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
