I am currently using the adobe cloud service and would like to give my granddaughter my original lightroom and photoshop programs. Would do I need to do to remove them from my computer to hers? The lightroom 5 program has been replaced with the cloud version on my computer.

Lightroom has no activation check so you don't need to do anything to your computer. Your old copy of Photoshop must be deactivated / uninstalled if you haven't already done so.

Well, this is a problem, because the only material you can transfer from your iPhone (using only Apple software) is material you purchased in the iTunes Store.
To do that, plug your iPhone into iTunes, then choose File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from iTunes' menu.
Generally speaking, you should restore your iTunes library from your computer's backup. -

Why can I no longer find my iphotos? Updated from 10.6 to 10.8.2 recently... The iphoto logo in my dock has been replaced with a transparent, grey, question mark... why? How do I restore my iphotos? Searched for them in Finder, and in "search"... they appear as text only.. but no photos.. please help.. Mark
Have you verified that the iPhoto applications is not in the Applications folder or somewhere else on the hard drive?
To do so download and use Find Any File to search for "iPhoto.app" because FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't. If the application is somewhere else on the HD FAF will find it. However, I doubt that it will be there but it's worth a search.

My macbook pro is infected with VBS.Lys.M. Unfortunately, bitdefender can only quarantine it and it keeps reappearing. Is there any way to remove it from my computer?
That's Windows malware, so it cannot be infecting your Mac. It probably is on your computer as an email attachment. To remove it, see:

Pics on my phone are gone...has been replaced with a blank black screen??

So today I was browsing through my pics and noticed there were some pics that have been replaced with a black screen. I deleted like 4 of them, thinking I that they just "appeared" but I scrolled up and noticed that it was also a few videos and pics that I know I had that had been replaced as well. So has anyone had this happen to them? What did you? How do I get my pics back? And is this some sort of virus?Ok I discovered the same thing today. Two of my pics were black. I just deleted them thinking I must of taken bad pics. I now know I didnt. Here's the funny thing, I came on here looking for a problem that is related to messaging, photos and video text messaging. All kinds of problems are showing up. I go to send a video in text messaging and it freezes up right before it sends..

I am running out of space on my macbook. What is taking up the most room is my movies. Can I put them on an external hard-drive and then watch them later after I remove them from my library?

On Windows, hold Shift (not alt), launch iTunes and select Choose library... and select the iTunes folder you copied to the external drive. -

It also when opening opened in FireFox not Adobe until i changed it in Windows but the PDF logo has gone and now with the HTML FireFox Logo which now opens in Adobe. Why has the PDF logo been replaced? I hope i make some sense. Thankyou.
If you set Firefox as the default browser and Firefox detects via a registry scan that there is currently no file handler application that handles PDF files and a few other file types then the Firefox updater/installer registers Firefox as the default application to handle these file types.
This causes them to show with a Firefox icon on the desktop and in other places like Windows Explorer (Bug 452254).
You can right-click a PDF file in Windows Explorer and use the open with dialog to change the default application to the Adobe Reader or your preferred application to handle PDF file.
If the icon doesn't change to the icon of that application then you may have to change the icon on the desktop via other means
On Windows XP you can check the Windows Control Panel:
*Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types: .PDFf
*Registry Editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.pdf\ or HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pdf (Default = empty string)

My start up disk needs more space and I have tons of photos on my computer that I want to transfer to my external hard drive and remove from my computer to free up space. How can I do this and make sure all my photos are still properly saved and transferred. I dont need to transfer my whole iPhoto library just some really old albums.
