  • Dear apple support communities, how can i fix this problem?  /users/ocha/.bashrc/bin:??

dear apple support communities, how can i fix this problem?
      /users/ocha/.bashrc/bin:??
i have change the directory after i install GMT 5
but i was wrong and that are the result,.
    please help me

or could you please tell me how to see if i have a back up? and how i can restore it?
If you do not know whether you have a backup or not, then you DO NOT have a backup.  I'm assuming you have not been running Time Machine, nor any other backup utility.
and then i dont know what to write to get me into the right directory
Shell initialization files (.bash_profile, .bashrc, etc...) go in your home folder.  The environment variable $HOME contains the path to your home folder.  The commands I gave you will edit the file in the correct directory.
    but i'm still new
    Everyone has to start somewhere.
To give any editing advice, we need to know what you "REALLY" want to accomplish, especially if you have little or no command line knowledge.
Why are you in the Terminal in the first place?
Why are you trying to edit .bash_profile and/or .bashrc?
What do you hope to accomplish when everything is done?
If you are following someone else's instructions, what are they?  Post them here, or give a simple pointer (and by simple, I mean we are volunteers, so we do not want to spend hours digging in some web site to find the instructions, so make our job easy, so we can make it easy for you).

  • Why do i still receive emails from apple support communities

i clicked on my profile wen into mail preferences and made all the options no and clicked save. and i still recieve email notifications from apple support communities.

The photo above shows what you have set for anything new you do.
You need to unset the options for items you are already subscribed to.
Go to Your Stuff > Modifications, tick everything then click Remove.

  • How do I stop emails from apple support communities

almost a year ago I turned to apple support communities for a Q. Now a year later long after the problem has since been resolved, I am still getting very annoying updates.  I have tried logging in and changing my preferences, but that did not stop the emails.  I tried bouncing them back...didn't work.  I tried turning to apple "contact us"  but that is not easy without coming here first...Now I fear I may be just starting a new list of emails, but here we go...STOP EMAILING ME!

The Email preferences are not the problem, they only control what will happen they have no affect on what is happening now.
You can identify the source of the email,  the community or thread, in the email. Go to that thread or community and turn off the email notification from there.
If you can'tt identify the particular thread or community from the email follow the instructions in the link King_Penguin posted.

  • Email from apple support communities

I have edited my email notification praeferences and marked ALL the options as NO.
The "Actions" block on the top of the screen  says "Receive messages" meaning that if I want to receive them I'm to click that item
I continue to receive a flood of messages unrelated to my recent post which has been solved.  I want to continue remain a community member but I'm beginning to think that the onloy way to escape this influx of messages is to delete my membership.
What is the solution to this problem?  What am I missing?

The user tip below should help.

  • 10.8.5 how to stop emails from Apple Support Communities?

    My spam folder is full.

You're welcome and it's ok - I'm not doing this for points.......
For future threads, you should have a note below all posts (but your initial post) that you can hit a solved or helpful. I just realized: you didn't have your topic marked as a question, but as a discussion, so that's why you can't award any points.

  • I keep getting emails from Apple support about changing my password.

I keep getting emails from apple saying someone is trying to reset my password when I have not done such a thing. A couple days ago after the 4th email I decided to reset it myself just incase. Now im still getting a email from apple stating that someone is trying to reset it.

Apple do send out an email if you change your password that is genuine
You could change the password to see if the emails are genuine or phishing by getting a genuine email from Apple
No way otherwise if you cannot tell if they are genuine or otherwise

I accidentally deleted my apple gift card which I got via email from a friend. How can I get to it?

If you have the receipt, no guarantees but definitely contact Apple >  Contacting Apple for support and service
    They might make an exception.

  • I received an email from Apple telling me how to reset my Apple ID password but I know I didn't request it. Anyone else? Suggestions? Should I just ignore it?

I received an email from Apple telling me how to reset my Apple ID password but I know I didn't request it. Anyone else? Suggestions? Should I just ignore it?

Did the email contain your name? Never click on a link in an email like that and do no enter any personal info after clicking in an email.
There have been quite a few people getting these emails. They are a phishing attempt to get your personal info.
