I am having trouble implementing scripting functionality in an indesign template for a DPS project.
Basically how should the interaction between inserted HTML and the CSS, JS applied for the HTML happen?
I created plain HTML code which has text fields, buttons and the functions that perform some simple calculations. But when imported via Object>Insert HTML the HTML functionality was lost. I then tried creating and exporting an indesign template which contained all the buttons required for the calculation as a HTML file via File>Export option, added modified HTML code and then used Object>Insert HTML. But no luck.
Is there a better way to import and/or how do we initiate a button to be used via scripting? (Eg: convert a image into a button in indesign, but.... how best to initiate a "onClick" function for the button created via Js or Jquery).
I'm having the same issue. And Dreamweaver now crashes after just a few seconds.

Having a problem importing xml into an indesign template.
I am having a problem importing xml into an indesign template. The xml data is there and will populate the columns on the document but I am having problems matching styles, removing data that should not be mapped and importing repeated same fields but differnet data.

Having trouble with the Check Out (Registration - Buy) template - keep getting error message!
Hello!
Hoping somone can help me with this. I've been struggling for a while and must get this finished. I am using BC ecommerce and PayPal standard. I have set up my item, templates, etc. I'm testing the function and can get through until the checkout. When I try to checkout, I get an error message that says:
"ERROR: You have deleted your web form. Please login to the Admin panel of your website and remove the previously submitted form from the web page you last visited. You will need to recreate this web form by going to Modules -> Webforms. After recreating simply insert this new web form into the web page and your web form should work properly."
I edited the Registration - Buy template to only include PayPal as the payment method (though I don't see how this form functions).
I followed the instructions on the kb site to set up PP standard (PDT token and all that) and have set that up in the gateway section.
I can get to the item, add it to the cart, get to the cart, checkout button brings me to the checkout page, but then stuck.
I'd appreciate any help you can offer as I'm behind on this now. Thank youThank you for your quick reply Liam! You know, I checked the web forms list when I got that error message and the form isn't there. I was having trouble the other day when another of my forms kept getting deleted.
Sorry if this is a stupid question (I'm a BC newbie) but I want to be sure so I can get this project finished... The proper workflow would be to create this form myself in Web Forms then insert it into the Registration - Buy template using the modules toolbox?

Having trouble with Dreamweaver and fireworks willing to pay for support
I'm new to the forum and i was hoping to get some help with
dreamweaver and fireworks.
I built a site on my own using dreamweaver 3 years ago but
have forgotten almost everything. I am planning on building a new
web site and have been messing with dreamweaver for over a week
trying to figure it out, with little success. I bought a web
building package years ago that included fireworks, dreamweaver,
freehand and maybe more, but i lost my books on dreamweaver and
fireworks somehow.
Anyways, I was trying to learn dreamweaver 3 and fireworks
and was having a lot of trouble with it. The dreamweaver bible
assumes you know how to make a navigation bar using fireworks and
that simply isnt the case for me. So I need help with that.
Also, i have been having trouble with my template. This is
how you save your basic page correct? For some reason it doesnt
save the whole page for me. I figured out the editable regions
part, I think, but since i didnt know how to make a navigation bar
I made my own links out of text, and this part isnt saving with the
template.
I have a lot more questions but i think ive taken enough of
your time. I am willing to pay someone to help me build this site,
i cant afford a lot but i think my questions are pretty basic.

the browser world has changed quite a bit in the almost 10
years since DW3
was released. Some (many?) of the behaviors in DW3 simply

Having trouble getting waf to create a pc file for pkg-config
Hello Arch Linux forums!
After successfully building and installing some monome tools on my debian machine, I thought I'd migrate over to developing things on arch linux.
However, I'm having trouble building my project because pkg-config cannot find libmonome after a fresh build. It complains that there's no libmonome.pc in my $PKG_CONFIG_PATH. Sure enough, libmonome.pc does not exist, while it does on my debian machine.
I suspect it's some sort of permissions / path issue that I need to account for, but I'm unaware as to where to start looking. Has anyone else used waf and encountered similar issues?
Thanks in advance!Well the configuration file you chose does not allow users created in NetWeaver to be created in the LDAP. That's why it's a "readonly" configuration. I would guess that you need a custom configuration file specifically for open ldap.

Having trouble implementing Captivate simulation in an iFrame
Hi all, hoping you can give me some pointers.
I'm trying to implement Captivate scalable html5 simulations in a proprietary LMS that requires that I place it in an iFrame. It works, but the scaling is not working properly. Immediately upon loading, the Captivate content is too large for my frame, although it does resize (still too large) when I scale the page.
Are there any known tweaks for this kind of issue?

But I just ran into this same issue.
Require using HTML5 with Captivate inside of an iFrame.
The "Scalable html" was ignoring the iframe's dimensions, and using the full window dimensions instead.
What I ended up doing is stop using the "scalable html" option when publishing from captivate. and then i used the following javascript inside the html that the iframe was placed:

Hi there,
I'm trying to script a small app called Deeper (that doesn't work natively with ascript).
I tried GUI scripting with apple script editor but I'm not how it works so I put that aside and went trying with UI Element Inspector.
So I'm trying to select something from a scroll menu, and then click a start button.
What it does is it activates the Flurry screensaver as a background, but some bugs turn it off, so I wanted that by running this script, it would use Deeper to turn it back on without having to do it manually.
I tried as best as I can to stick with the example given in the UIElementInspector page, but I am really a starter in scripting.
First, I did:

But then I found out there was no way to distinguish that pop up menu from others (with UIElementInspector) other than by the size and location of the menu in the app.

Grapher having trouble with trig functions
Well I thought that I could make some cool visuals for my math class by using grapher instead of just making charts and graphs in Excel on my pc, but no dice with that idea. I created all the different variables (and how they related to x, ie x^2*(5-x6)/x=m) and it was pretty cool how it would all come together and I could use those variables in other equations instead of writing it all out (stuff like y=4x^m-m/5). (Those are examples, not anything I used)
Everything seemed fine until I tried to use a cosine function in one of the equations. It seemed really intuitive and recognized cos as cosine and not the variables c, o, and s multiplied, so I thought "great!" Then when I entered it the graph didn't appear anything like it should have. It gave me a Richter scale instead of a slightly curved line. I spent about half an hour trying to find my own error but then realized maybe there was something wrong with the program. I tried just plain old cos(x) and found that it was completely off. Instead of traveling from 0,1 to 180,-1 like it should have, it went from 0,1 to 3.1475,-1. This was way off so I tried a sine function and that did the same exact thing (having a period of roughly 6.295 instead of 360!). These functions were way off, and I'm using an intel macbook from my school (with 10.5), so I thought maybe someone changed the settings, so I tried them them on my aunts g4 macmini (10.4.11 I think) and it gave me the same problem!
Anyway what's wrong with the trig functions for Grapher and how can I fix them?Emzz, I'm running 10.5.5 (Intel) and Grapher v2.0. My version of Grapher supports changing Trigonometric Mode, so the absence of this option seems to have nothing to do with Leopard.
But let's do some Math now. As you surely know the cosine has (besides others) a root at 90 Degrees in the unit circle. Now let f : (angle in Degrees) -> (length of the corresponding arc of the unit circle) be a mapping. For 90 Degrees f yields 0.5*Pi. That means cosine has a root at 0.5*Pi in Radian unit.
Now, if you swith Grapher's Trigonometric Mode from Degrees to Radian, cosine will no longer have a root at 90 but at approximately 1.57. Hope that explains a bit...

I am trying to write button code in a class, so my main actions panal of my .fla doesn't get too overcrowded. Here is my class coding:

Having trouble with put_line function in block statement..
Am a student, and the request does not appear to be in my book anywhere... Nothing on put_line, or block statements that I can see..
Need to write a block which will bring back via put_line for department 110: the department_id (departments table), the department_name (departments table), and the city in which the department is located (which must be pulled from locations table... can be joined by department_id). I can write the select statement with join, just not sure how to turn it into a block with put_line function..

You need to format your code, so that it's easy to see what statements are in each section (DECLARE, BEGIN, etc.).
The compiler doesn't care about this, but it will help anyone who tries to read your code, including yourself.

Anyone having trouble w/ iPod function?
I was up and running in a breeze...very impressive. Unfortunately, I had some issues w/ iPod freezing right off the bat...then, for a few hours I had no problem other than the speaker sounding pretty lame...tonight, when I finished syncing, my entire music Library disappeared (from the iPhone). The iPhone memory shows it to be there and when I sync w/ iTunes, the memory bar shows I have music on the iPhone. However, when I tap the iPod widget, there is NO music, no playlists, nada, nothing. I just reset and erased the entire phone and am starting over. Hope it works. Downloading 1300+ songs takes forever.

iMac, Powerbook Mac OS X (10.4.10)I've had a similar problem as those discussed here. I've sync'ed my iPhone, when it's complete it says there's more than 3G of audio. When I eject/unplug the iPhone, there's no music under the iPod tab. I had this happen yesterday, too.
At that point, I restored (but lost all my previous text messages).
It happened again tonight, the sync showed that the iPhone was full of music but there wasn't any on the device. I unchecked sync music and let it erase all the music data (it took a couple of tries). Now I am reloading all the music. How can this be avoided? It makes me scared to sync!

Having trouble with adobe flash cs6 accepting a variable for the scene calling gotoandplay
ive got a simple quiz going and i seem to have hit a bit of a brick wall, in order to avoid having a seperate wrong answer scene per question i decided to impliment a simple history system, with a string variable defined on the first scene as a global variable and set at every question, problem is whenever the function to go back is called flash spits out an error saying it cant accept a variable for this parameter, but surely that cant be right. i dont understand where im going wrong and as this is coursework i need to fix it quickly. any chance of help?
The 1009 error indicates that one of the objects being targeted by your code is out of scope. This could mean that the object....
- is declared but not instantiated
- doesn't have an instance name (or the instance name is mispelled)
- does not exist in the frame where that code is trying to talk to it
- is animated into place but is not assigned instance names in every keyframe for it
- is one of two or more consecutive keyframes of the same objects with no name assigned in the preceding frame(s).
If you go into your Publish Settings Flash section and select the option to Permit debugging, your error message should have a line number following the frame number which will help you isolate which object is involved.
If you are going to continue pursuing this using AS3 please start a new posting in the AS3 forum...
