I had to get a new ipod....they said I just needed to plug it in and sync to my itunes.. I get an error 1413 when I try to follow the instructions to restore. I can't find any information on error 1413, what does this mean?
Now it keeps saying that it is restored but there is still no music or video on it. And a new error is coming up that says "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

when I try to upload the latest version of iTunes, it tells me to enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes.msi. What does this mean as I can't seem to find any such folder and now I cannot uninstall Itunes either
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

When trying to download Itunes this pops up " key not valid for use in specified state" what does this mean and how can I fix it? I am using a pc laptop if that makes any difference.
Try reading through this thread: key not valid for use in specified state. Possible solution involves moving the RSA folder. Rather than deleting it as aniwack suggested I'd try this:
For "Key not valid for use in specified state" errors try moving the folder RSA from C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA to say C:\RSA (just in case there should be a need to restore it) then try installing again. This folder appears to act as a cache and should be rebuilt automatically as required.

I just purchased several items for I-pad and the billing statement says billed to store credit. What does this mean ? I have a $20 i-tunes card how do I pay with this ? I'm an old **** and don't talk to anyone who plays with I-pad etc.
That means it should have used your iTunes card credit = store Credit.

Please provide the full text of the message and describe at which point in the login progress it is displayed.

I'm installing 10.7 and it will not finish. The time goes into negative minutes. It is on a 2 year old 13.3 Macbook Pro. Had hopes of wiping the hard drive durring the install. Any ideas?
Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

I BOUGHT 15gb of storage and it is not enough. I then bought the 25gb.Does this mean I have 40gb now or can I cancel the 15gb plan. All I need is the 25gb plan.
This should answer your question:
"If you purchase a higher-tier storage plan for your iCloud account to replace your existing storage plan (for example, a 20 GB plan to replace a 10 GB plan), the existing plan will be canceled and you will receive a prorated refund for the time remaining. The new storage plan is applied to your iCloud account and the annual payment date is updated to reflect the purchase date for the new plan." - https://support.apple.com/kb/HT4874 -
Hi all,
My computer a few days ago wouldn't start up, would just stay at the gray loading screen forever. So as a result I tried to reformat the hard drive and reinstall, but I can't reinstall, until I erase the hard drive, but when I try to erase the hard drive it says the erase failed due to an input/output error. What does this mean? What can I do to fix my computer? The startup drive is failing, or there is some other internal hardware fault.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional — ask if you need guidance.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair
Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed. -
On an older Mac I got this message while trying to burn a CD for the car: "The attempt to burn a disc failed. The burn failed because of a medium write error." What does this mean? And how do I work around it?
I had been getting this all morning and checked other messages from the community. THe one which worked was trying a different brand of disc.
I had been using Verbatim which had copied the music fine off the Real Player on my PC at school, but wouldn't work with I Tunes. Tried a Staples and an Office Depot CD-R , both of which did the job. -
I purchased an app and got a 'waiting' messae on the itouch screen. What does this mean?
You have a router that assigns IP addresses in sequential order.
Always turn your devices on in the exact same order and you will avoid the message.
It is not a serious problem.
If your router supports DHCP reservations based on MAC address of the devices that will resolve the problem. -
When I first plug in my power cord it lights up green and then after a few seconds changes to red. What does this mean and how do I fix it?
Apple systems in MBP have self-maintaining charging systems. If the battery is less than 95%, the charger light turns orange when plugged it. It will charge to 100% and stay green then will hold on charging until the battery drops to 95% again.

I am unablre tpo bring up my home screen. All I get is the i-Tnes logo and an image of the connector lug with an arrow pointing to the logo. What does this mean? Is it try to tell me that I need to sync? This has only happened since the IOS 7 update started.
It sounds like it's gone into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
You will need to connect it to your computer's iTunes, and you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/resync your content to it
