I am not able to fast forward in iMovie 10.0.3. I have the area selected but when I got to Modify>Slow Motion/Fast Forward the items are ghosted and cannot be selected. Is this a bug and if so how do I get back to a version where I can use Slow Motiona and Fast Forward. This version is not very easy to work with. It seems that Apple took some of the simple functions out.

Can you tell me if there is simply something I do not have correct in my viewing options or does it look like the update failed?

You need to contact Apple and transfer that computer, the serial number, into your name and your Apple ID. Then you should be able to update the included Apple Apps from the App store. No need to Re-buy them again.
Caveat to the above.
If your Mac did not originally come with Lion Preinstalled, early releases of early 2011 models and older, and originally had Snow Leopard installed the original owner should of supplied the Mac OS X System Discs with the system. If that person didn't you should order them from Apple at a small fee, and don't lose them.

I am not able to open one particular iMovie project - help!

I spent 18 hours editing a video, then closed imovie so that I can continue the next morning and wanted some memory management to happen. Now when I restart iMovie I can see the project in the list but open project button at the top is grayed out and double clicking puts the cursor on the name as if I want to rename it. Reading some other forums, I have tried deleted some files so that iMovie recalculates/adds those files to the iMovie project but that didnt help as well. I am still able to see the event in the bottom half of the screen with the rejected/chosen parts intact but cant load the project on the timeline.
Previously while loading I had chosen to copy the video files from original location to iMovie project and then move the original files to a USB drive and have confirmed that the mov files iMovie created for the project is there.

The individual file has become corrupted somehow.

IPlayer fast forward/rewind issues

Anyone else not able to fast forward or rewind in iPlayer? It worked when I watched the Ireland vs New Zealand game but the day after it just stopped working for any program.

I also am experiencing this problem when viewing BBC iplayer through BT vision. All other catch up channels working OK. Rebooted no resolution. Am not viewing on HD.Telephoned BT - said it was not a problem with them it must be a BBC issue. There are no reported issues about this on the BBC iplayer Forum

Can not fast forward though podcasts on iPhone 4.

When I first got the phone I was able to fast forward though them. Then something happened three days ago and now I can't fast forward though them at all. When I'm looking at the podcast selection screen it shows '--:--' as the time for all the podcasts. When the podcast is playing it shows '-00:00' as the play time and the scrubber never moves. If I try to fast forward at all it just jumps back to the beginning of the podcast.
Anyone find a fix for this?

I have the same problem. But it happens in mp3 music as well as podcasts. The only solution I've found is to reboot my iPhone. It's kind of a hassle, so I'd like to see a fix from Apple.

How to fast forward or do time search w/ Twonky & WRT1900AC?

Previously I was using Serviio on computers to share media to my tv. I also tried external storage attached to a Netgear R6100. In both setups I was able to fast forward videos or (even better) jump to a specific time in the video. This is seemingly not possible with Twonky. I attached the external drive to the Linksys and it appears on the tv fine. All the files are there. Playback is no problem (really snappy too). It just won't fast forward or do time search. I don't even think it pauses. Is there a way to either configure, update or replace Twonky? I'll have to get a different router if this can't be resolved.

Try to use Serviio and check if it will work. I think this router is not exclusive just with twonky so it's worth a try.

Internet TV issue (time out/no fast forward)

While watching a show, something came up and I paused the show. I returned 10 mins later and press play. The player then starts to go into a loading mode for several minutes, then times out. After re-loading the player, I then find that there the show restarts from the beginning and there is no way to fast forwarded the show to where I have left off, or that the player didn't remember where I left off.
Is there a trick/setting that I am unaware of to get this to fast forward to where I left off? I have the latest flash player installed, so that is not the issue.

Here is what happened after I paused it again. Now if I re-load the page, the show that I was watching will start all the way from the beginning. Anyone have this issue of not being able to fast forward or not having the show resume where it left off?

Fast forward problem

I dont know what i hit, but i cant fast forward or rewind by holding the next or back button. I used to be able to fast forward to any part of the song, but now it just skips to the the next song. I tried to reset the settings and still doesnt work.

The only way I thought you could FF or RW fast was to click the center button until the diamond appeared showing where you were on the track.
Or if I am wrong your click wheel may be on it's way south.

ATG Rollup 6 - not able to open forms

I have applied ATG Rollup 6, the patch went through fine. When I try to connect to the application it asks to install Jinitiator, I have installed it. Now, when i click on any form it repeats the same i.e to install Jinitiator. I am not able to move forward.
Has anybody faced the similar issue

Z1 Unable to fast forward/rewind music

I wondered if anyone could help me with this. Within the Sony Walkman app the function 'Press and hold' to fast forward or rewind doesnt work. When you use this feature on my phone it just skips tracks on release of the button regardless of the length of time the button is held down. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me? Cant find any similar issues searching round the web. Thanks in advance

Are you in the overview screen where you just have a small song bar at the bottom of the screen and the screen is showing your other albums, if yes, than you can't fast forward or rewind. Press on the track that your are listening to, to reach the screen that is showing the cover art of the song and some sort of bigger track controls. On this screen you should be able to fast forward and rewind the song.

I know that in iTunes, you can fast forward a music for 5 seconds by hiting Command-Option-right arrow.
What I want it to do this from any application, when iTunes is not the frontmost.
I tried the follwing script, but it doesn't work:

Unity Connection 8.6 not able to forward from extension (dial out)

Dear all,
I'm having a problem at a customer where i'm not able to forward calls externally from the Unity (that's a wish too).
Basically here is the request for which I'm having an issue:
- I'm making a menu with a number XXX (CTI Port) with a System Call Handler
- Under that menu i've 3 choices which points to 3 internal numbers (YY1, YY2, YY3) (CTI Ports).
- All the CTI Ports are forwarded to international numbers which are the final destination
So the flow is the following:
NOT Working
- XXX --> Choice 1 --> YY1 --> Forwaded all to 000countrycode
Working
- XXX --> Choice 1 --> YY1 --> Forwarded all to 444 (internal number)
The strange thing is that I tested everything when I was on site by calling internally XXX from an internal number and it was able to forward all my call to the international number ...
If anyone have a clue about what I can do, I'll appreciate a lot ...

The rules are not made to enable unity to dial out, my goal was to permit only internal calls, but in this specific case, the internal number, is a CTI Port forwarded all to the external international number...
I tried the Unity connection system handler from a internal phone and it was working perfectly, but not if the call is coming from outside apparently.

First, make sure these items have checkmarks next to their names in iTunes. Continuous playback only works on checked items. Itunes will play all checked items in a list whether or not they're from the same album.
If you see that nothing in your library is checked and you want to check everything, hold down Ctrl while checking an item. This checks everything.
Next, fixing the "1 of 1" problem is easily. Select all the tracks that make up the book/album. Let's say there are 15. Press Ctrl-I. Doublecheck that the album box is filled in with the name of the book, and if not, type it there. Enter "15" in the box for the total number of tracks. Click OK. Now all the items should be "1 of 15," "2 of 15," and so on.

Triple check the Outgoing Mail server info that you entered in your Mail account. If that area says the info is optional enter the outgoing mail server and your password anyway. Also if you have more than one email account check the server that is selected for the GoDaddy account and make sure it's the correct server for the account.
