I am not able to install itunes in my Windows 7 PC

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Well you need to understand the behavior of h-reap or what it's called now, FlexConnect. In this mode, the clients are still remembers on the WLC until the session timer/idle timer expires. So switching between SSID's in h-reap will not be the same when switching when the AP's are in local mode.
Take a look at the client when connected in FlexConnect in the WLC GUI monitor tab. Thus will show you what ssid and vlan the client is on. Now switch to a different ssid and compare this. It's probably the same because the client has not timed out. Now go back to the other ssid and look again. Now on the WLC, remove or delete the client and then switch to the other ssid at the same time. Or switch SSID's and then remove the client. The client will join the new ssid and in the monitor tab, you should see the info.
There is no need to have clients have multiple SSID's unless your testing. Devices should only have one ssid profile configured to eliminate any connectivity issues from the device wanting to switch SSID's.

    Hi Pragya,
Did you check : 1) Administrator Access while installing Microsoft C++ Runtime, 2) enough space on your disk, 3) try uninstalling the MS C++ old version 4) Empty Windows Temp folders
Also check if the environment variables are set right on your Windows machine.

  • Screwed up QT removal, now not able to install iTunes

    Hey everybody,
Just yesterday I got my new iPod Nano and was totally excited to try it out, so I downloaded iTunes 7, but got a message saying "The older version of QuickTime could not be removed. Contact your technical support group".
Subsequently I closed the installation and tried it again with the same result. I then opened the Control Panel folder and navigated to "Add or Remove Programs" and tried to uninstall QT through that but the Uninstaller closed down itself, still while showing the message "QuickTime setup is preparing the InstallShield Wizard (...)"
Remembering the old words "Google is your friend" I searched for a way to uninstall programs manually and found a nice page explaining it clearly (HERE).
I deleted the directory in the Program Files folder and deleted the QT folder from HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE and HKEYCURRENTUSER\SOFTWARE. I also checked if there were any services attached to it but couldn't find any in KEYLOCALMACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services.
Well, I then tried to install iTunes again and, guess what, I got the same error message.
Any help would be highly appreciated!
Thank you very much in advance!

i read this thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=639555&tstart=0 and did basically this (copied over from reply 5)
okay, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility and use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC. if your existing iTunes still refuses to uninstall via add/remove after that, use CleanUp to remove your existing iTunes installation configuration information.
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
then clear away leftover itunes and quicktime program files and folders from the PC. follow these steps:
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the iTunes folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    6. Open the iPod folder.
    7. Right-click on the bin folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    8. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    9. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
    10. Restart your computer.

  • Not able to install itunes on windows 7 64 bit

I have downloaded the latest iTunes64Setup.exe , the installer will download, but it won't install anything. If I double-click, or right click and hit Run as Administrator, it pulls up a dialog box briefly, then closes out. It will not run. It does not give an error, it just pops up a dialog box then closes without telling me anything. At all. I've deleted it, redownloaded it, restarted, and it never works.
I just ran across another suggested fix that suggested I extract the files and try installing the individual components separately. When I tried doing that, I got this error message:
!   D:\SAHGIN0_BACKUP\mooooon\iTunes64Setup.exe: The archive is corrupt
I am downloading directly from Apple.
I've downloaded iTunes on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, I also tried deleting all cookies and temporary internet files in between installations.
Thanks for any help you've got.

When I run the iTunes64setup.exe it says: "The thingy is not a valid win32 application."
That generally indicates that the installer has been getting damaged on the download.
What web browser have you been using for downloading the iTunes64Setup.exe? Does it make any difference if you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa)?

  • Not able do install iTunes Ver 7.0 (beacause of QuickTime)

Hello everybody, iTunes was working properly until I installed the version 7.0. Just before the end of the installation I've this message : impossible to open the key HKEYLOCALMACHINE\Software\Classes\QuickTimePlayerLib.QuickTimePlayerApp\CLSID.
Verify that you have the rights for this key or contact technical support.
So it seems the problem is coming from QuickTime. I don't know what to do, I already desinstall Quicktime and Itunes and try to reinstall it but it still doesn't work.
Please Help me I really don't know what else I can do
    Thank in advance

okay. the missing/badly-installed QuickTime will be causing the itunes trouble.
    let's try this first.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders.
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
    7. Restart your computer.
now we'll try slipping in a new QuickTime by doing a repair install of itunes.
go to Add/Remove programs. select itunes, click "Change" and then click "Repair".
does that go through okay? if so, does your itunes launch properly again?

  • Not able to install Oracle Client 11g R2 64 bit on Windows 7 Enterprise 64

I am having issues. I get "Central Inventory is not locked" and Oracle 11g R2 just closes itself.
I had some previous installations of Oracle, but I am unsure how to get rid of them all. I already removed the registry keys associated with Oracle. Any help here?

One user above reported installing the 64 bit odbc drivers and then the 32 bit drivers. How did you do that? I'm a neophyte to this.
I'm trying to get a 32 bit ODBC oracle driver to work on a server 2008 R2 machine. I downloaded the 11gR2 x64 client from oracle. The install process makes no mention of 32bit vs 64bit installation. After running the instalation I can run the ODBC administrator and generate a DSN for oracle. When I run the 32 ODBC administrator there is no oracle driver available except the microsoft driver for oracle. When I select that it says that I need to install oracle.
I had at first tried to install 11g instant client. However that didn't work for the 2008 R2 machine. It complained about some registry error when I tried to run the ODBC install program. I need to get it to work for a customer asap.
