Yes - select the book and duplicate it (Command - D) in case of problems - open it and click change theme and select the theme and the new style of binding
Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.
then order after you have carefully checked the preview

I recently purchased an iMac and transferred all of my documents, photos etc. from my Macbook Pro. Everything seemed fine until I opened iPhoto and now it seems as if some of my photos are distorted and squished. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
How did you move your iPhoto Library from the old Mac to your new one?
Do the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database. -

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List. -
Does anyone know how I can create "facing pages" in new Pages? I could do it in Pages 09 but can't find the option in new Pages. I have documents created in Pages 09 and want to do some further work on them, but am now using new pages.
There were 100+ features that didn't make it into the "new & improved, rewritten from the ground up” Pages 5. Some have returned with the updates & there are some new features that are worthwhile, but there are still 90+ features missing. Leave feedback for the Pages team using the link in the Pages menu and review & rate the new versions in the Mac App Store.
If you previously had iWork '09, those apps are still in your Applications folder in a folder named iWork '09. You can continue to use them to get things done. -

I've updated the software on my Macbook to the most recent version; regretting it now; and iPhoto has now become the Photo's app.
The problem is I can no longer back up my photo and video files taken on my phone, saved to my mac, by copying them and saving them on a USB stick or other external hard drive.
I could easily do this with iPhoto, but now Photos app does not let me copy the files when I select them.
Does anyone know if there's a way to save, copy or back-up my photo's and video files: prefreably one that doesn't involve iCloud, as I don't feel like paying for more storage; there must be some way to access those photos/videos from my iPhone to save on another source?The problem is I can no longer back up my photo and video files taken on my phone, saved to my mac, by copying them and saving them on a USB stick or other external hard drive.
Select the photos and videos in Photos and use the command "File > Export" and select a folder on your USB stick to save the photos to. -
What happened was yesterday i was taking very memorable pictures and i wanted to add the most of them i didnt want in my camera roll into the photostream album. also in the album i had even more sentamental pictures from earlier this year. I am so depressed i accidently deleted the album? Please say all the ways to recover them back.
Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must click Apply in order for any changes to take effect.
2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist. -
I went to update my phone and after the update I recieved a message that it failed and that the back up failed. I had to restore my phone to stock. I just want to know if there was a possibility to get my pictures back. I tried to get my phone to restore from my last back up but it wouldn't do that either. Does anyone have any ideas. I am really only worried about my pictures and videos I had a couple hundred and they were important.
Thank you. I have been reading about a lot of these occurances and many people have been able to get their pictures back through iexplorer however I am unable to. The error number I got was 50 or something like that. I have a feeling I will not be able to get the pictures back because it said the backup failed after the update failed.

The files work fine on my desktop, in iWeb, and in iTunes, then a couple of days later they stop working somehow. I did notice that the audio portion is 6 minutes or so and the video only lasts 8 seconds, but it really does show the picture through the entire song for the first few times. I just want to know how to do this so it works. Here is an example of what I am talking about:

The most common methods to create a podcast are using QT 7 Pro or the GarageBand application. Your sample files look as though they may have been created using a QT 7 Pro (or similar app algorithm) by opening your JPEG in a player and then attaching the music to the to the end of image frame. The proper way to do this is to create a QT player with the JPEG image in it and then copy the content from the image player to the opened audio player using the "Add to Selection & Scale" Edit option to paste the image across all frames of the audio track.
Here is an example of what I mean: Blow Me Away_modified.mov
In this case I extracted both the audio and JPEG tracks and then re-sampled the audio track to get rid of the added empty audio frame and then added an externally re-scaled 826x638 version of your 1651x1275 internally scaled 827x638 display to reduce the file size from 10 MBs to 6.7 MBs. -
I had a substantial amount of spreadsheets on my iPad mini and the numbers app as well as a substantial number of pages documents in the pages app. The key word there was had! All my files have disappeared. And on top of that every time I go into preferences to turn on the cloud option it keeps turning itself off. Does anybody know what is going on I would love to have my documents back please help.

1. Settings>Pages>Use iCloud>On
2. Settings>iCloud>Documents and Data>On -

Did you already empty the Trash in iPhoto and on your Desktop? If not, look, if you can recover them by dragging the photos from the trash.
Otherwise restore the iPhoto Library from your backup.
If your events are not in your latest backup, you might try recovery software. For exaple,
Disk Drill: http://www.cleverfiles.com/ is pretty good at finding jpegs that are still somewhere as bitpatterns on your system drive. Only recovery software is usually quite expensive, and you have to stop to use your computer immediately, so that nothing will be written to your drive, until you have recovered the missing images. -
Firefox (I think version 5, maybe 4) does not ask to "remember" passwords anymore nor does it ask to "change" a password when I've done that. It didn't ask when I changed my Facebook password & I have to log in each time so I removed my username & password for FB on Firefox's "saved password" page. When I've don't that before, it asks to "remember" but doesn't anymore. I use a master password.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

Still displayed as my wallpaper.

It must be somewhere for it to still be my wallpaper.
I have checked my camera roll, wallpaper photo's, which just contain the free ones provided, and my computer.
The elusive photo is missing but is still my wallpaper.
