I am still getting the itunes sync error -50 after I deleted the ipad cache in finder. Any other suggestions so that I can sync my iPad?
I am geting an itunes errror -50 when trying to sync my ipad. Itunes and apad are all currently up to date. I read a question regarding this error that was from 2011 and I deleted the ipad cache in Finder as it suggested. I still get the error message. Any suggestions?

Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
1. Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
2. Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
3. Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
4. Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
5. There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
6. Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
7. Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

Hello community members, my iPhone has been stolen and I tried to contact police, they are asking for IMEI number of the phone. Unfortunately I could not read the IMEI number on the box due to moisture wiped out most of the number on it. I sacanned it in and enhanced, I'm still unable to read out the number. HI, I recently upgraded my operating system IOS 5.0.1 on an iphone 3gs. My question is, how do I get the text messaging preview to just pop up so that I can see the name only when the lock screen is on? The conventional ways of doing this, such as using turning off the SMS preview under the "passcode lock", well that option no longer exists, or if it does, I'm somehow missing it.
When I go to the "messages" setting under settings on my phone, I still don't see an option of turning it off.
If I can just get the name of the person sending the message, as I had it before, I'd be happy.

Recently when I try to play a video on Firefox I get the same message that I need to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. At least 5 times I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X and Adobe Flash Player Plugin 64 bit. Problem is that even though I have the latest version I still get the same message when I try to watch videos on Firefox. The frustrating thing is I can watch videos on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome as well as on Safari. How does that make sense?
Today, I upgraded to Firefox 10.0.2 (x86eng-us) hoping that would enable me to watch video on Firefox but it made no difference either. I would rather use Firefox as my default browser but if I can't get help so I can view video on it I will be forced to use another browser.Hi arpriltime,

monitor too faint to read. the greays on my monitor are so faint, they're almost impossible to see. especially the numbers of the dates in ical.

Safari missing
After a recent upgrade, I noticed that the safari app was missing. I can't find it anywhere to reload it. Any suggestions?It's a built-in app so it won't appear in the store.
If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Safari being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the phone has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. -
i get too many ASC emails ... tried Frank Caggiano's solution ... even have all my email preferences set to NO .... but problem still unsolved....any suggestion? by the way, how do i unlist myself from ASC?
You cannot unlist yourself from the ASC. Only a host can do that and there has to be a very good reason for doing so, like a privacy concern or issue, something like that. If you do not want to participate in the community, just quit posting.
Did you also check the box at the top of the post that you participated in and check Stop Email Notifications? It is in the Actions Box in the upper right corner of each page on the website. You have to go back to the post that you were in and select that as well.

I have done everything advised by the support page but still get the message " you apple id has been disabled". I also can't get a "person" on any apple phone numbers, just a "machine person" sending me back to the support page. Please help!

I'm running Coldfusion 8 and Oracle XE 10, both on IIS 7.
Every so often, I get this message:

listener could not find any available service handlers that are
appropriate for the client connection. One possible cause for this
error is that the server was not configured for the specified
server type (shared/dedicated).
I can restart the OracleServiceXE service and it works fine.
However, I have no clue what is causing this. I believe it all
began once I started using CFSCRIPTS and running queries using that
instead of CFML. Would anyone know what COULD cause this error to
happen and what I should look out for? I am new to Oracle and CF
btw.
Also, I can access it fine through the oracle homepage, but
when I attempt to connect to it from the coldfusion administrator,
it cannot establish a connection to that data source. It is only
after I restart the service that things go back to normal. Thanks.

We have ColdFusion 7.0.2 connecting to an Oracle Database 10 R2 and we just got this error when executing a ColdFusion component.
This is the first time we see this error and this CF/Oracle setup has been working fine for a long time.

I have just bought an iPhone 5 and it won't sync to iTunes. It says it needs iTunes 10.7, which I have downloaded and installed. I still get the error message and looking at "about iTunes" it says 10.6.3. What do I do??

Ever since updating to new OS, my iphone won't sync to itunes. When I plug in the phone to the PC, dialog box says I need to update itunes to 10.6.3 or later. I did that update, but still get the same error message.

Trying to sync my iPod with iTunes and I am getting this message:"This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the ipod"... I have deauthorized and reauthorized the account and still getting the same error. I have read and followed the instructions in the support article TS1389. I do NOT have an SC info folder at /Users/Shared/ directory to delete.
I just installed Lion yesterday, and am running iTunes 10.4. First attempt to sync since upgrade.

I "deauthorized" my old MBP and still told I cannot use my iPhone with iTunes.
Interesting that my old $2500 MBP, my new $3000 MBP and my $500 iPhone all cannot work cuz of some pinhead's decision to use this assorization process.

The message"itunes has detected a iphone in recovery mode. You must restore the iphone before it caan be used on itunes." yet when i do i still get the same message!!!
You have to restore the iPod, no ifs, ands, or buts...
After iOS is installed you will be asked if you what to set it up as a new iPod or if you want to restore from a backup.
If you have a good backup you can restore that and you're good to go.
If you don't have a good backup, then you end up with a "clean" iPod....
