I am trying to back up my books on my mac from an ipad so I can transfer them to my new ipad2 however when I try to cak them up I only get the option "eject " when I click on the device in the sidebar...help!

You need to back them up in iTunes.

I don't know what version you have, but you cannot install a Windows edition on a Mac, you need the Mac edition.
If you have Photoshop CS6, you can swap it for a Mac version, otherwise you would have to purchase a full Mac version ($700) or enroll in the $10 per month Photography program from Adobe to use Photoshop CC.

Today I stupidly tried to install CUDA accelerator forgetting I have Intel/AMD combo graphics card and not NVidia. Now when I try to launch AE or PremierePro I get this Last log message was: <140735120521568> <GPUManager> <2> Sniffer Result Code: 3. I have trashed the CUDA program and reinstalled Premiere and AE but no joy. Same message followed by another error box with options to Retry, Send to Apple or ignore. I have tried all 3 options but nothing works! Every time I launch either program same message appears.

When I try to partition my drive, it only gets halfway through then freezes. Why?
I am on an imac late 2009. When I try to partition my harddrive with bootcamp assistant to 80 gigs, it takes hours to get halfway, but then freezes. This is after fixing the "files cannot be moved" problem by reparing my harddrive with the osx installation disc.

L7680 printer - when i try to set up for wireless, not getting that option in setup menu
Have been using the L7680 a couple of years hardwired to hub. Trying to set up as wireless (as supposedly equipped), but not getting prompts in setup to allow, and when I run config, indicates off line. Tried to connect to PC and rerun setup, but nothing changed. Advice?

The L7680 printer doesn't support wireless connectivity.
Connectivity options:
1. USB 2.0 full speed, front and back ports
2. Ethernet

so i dropped a few thousand books onto my ipad -- i read a few deleted a few, and deleted ones i read etc...when I go into my itunes on my laptop i want to delete the books i don't want anymore -- in the section listing my ipad the books are unchecked but i can't delete them from there - if i go into the books section of my itunes .. the books are there but i have no way to tell which ones i want deleted ...so i go back to my itunes where it shows my ipad and the books i deleted are unchecked -- do i have to write them on paper or something so when i click on my books library i can know which to delete? help!!

I've resorted to running Safari when downloading anything. I really would like to remain with Firefox, but I can't figure anything out. I recently upgraded to 10.5 (Leopard) and that's when the downloading issues started.
In addition my default location to download files was the desktop, after the OS upgrade, Firefox will not even allow me to choose the desktop to download to.Has nobody got any suggestions?

Let me start with the general advise...
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
25 apps on my wife's phone need updating and now it "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" only when i try to update them for her. I can access the iTunes store for all other options but not to update. How can I get her updated?
Try quitting the App Store:
Tap the home button to get to the home screen. Then double tap the home button, and hold your finger over the App Store icon. Tap the red when it appears. Tap the home button again to return to the home screen.
Try resetting:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost. -
I am looking to upgrade to the entire CC suite from the Lightroom/Photoshop package. The packages page says the complete suite is available to existing customers for 29.99 monthly. But when I try to upgrade I only get one option for 599.99 yearly. Can I get clarification on the $29.99 offer and who it is available for. Thank you

Yes, annoying. A couple of options:
While it's playing the current A song, click on the H song to select it (but not double click to play it), when iTunes jumps to the second A song, press the down key and iTunes will remember that you had that H song selected and will move the selection to the second H song while the second A song is still playing. So, still jumps around, but easy to get back to where you were.
Create a new playlist for your music, right click on it, select "New Window" and you can browse your music in a second list while the first window continues to play music. But if you then start playing music in that second window, you have to go back to the first window if you want to start browsing again. Not great if you're navigating around to play the next song.
Play music from iTunes DJ, then as you're browsing around your library, you can add things to play next in DJ, and go back. You can combine this with previous suggestion, to keep DJ open in one window while you browser in the other window.
None of these are great, but maybe one of these works better than your current workflow. -
when i open iphoto i see my photo's for 1 second and then they are gone .The photo's are still there but i can see them only on the bottom or top of my screen when i try to open them i get a sign that it is not possible.Can somebody please help me?
Have you upgraded to iPhoto 9.6 for compatibility with Yosemite? If not, try that first.
It looks like iPhoto has lost the connection between the thumbnails and the original image files.
This can be caused by a corrupted iPhoto library, or the originals have been deleted or moved.
Try first to rebuild your iPhoto Library:
If you do not have a current backup of the iPhoto library, make a copy of the library, but do not overwrite any previous backup.
Launch iPhoto with the ⌥⌘-key combination (option-command) held down.
Select "rebuild" from the first aid panel. This may take a while for a large library.
Can you now see your photos again?
If not, rebuild the library with iPhoto Library manager as described by Old Toad: Re: iphoto crashed
