I am trying to instal adblock plus, but whenever i check the ad-on screen it always say s that firefox needs to be restarted, i restart it and it keeps on saying that i tneeds to be restarted whenever i check the ad-on screen

this has been happening even before i tried installing adblock plus.

This can happen if one of the files that stores details of installed add-ons is corrupt. Try deleting the files as shown in the corrupt extension files section of the [[unable to install add-ons#Corrupt extension files|unable to install add-ons]] article.

How to install Adblock Plus in Gran Paradiso 3.0.4 [SOLVED]

Hi,
I'm trying to install Adblock Plus in the version of Firefox I use which (for some licensing issue) identifies itself as Gran Paradiso 3.0.4. The Adblock plus version is 0.7.5.5. I've looked at the install.rdf for the xpi and it seems that Adblock Plus will install int Firefox 3.0.* so it seems to be an issue with the name - Gran Paradiso. Any ideas anyone??

OK, problem solved. There was a '.lock' file in the .mozilla directory that semed to be preventing the browser from restarting properly. Once that was deleted everything worked fine. Also, I just updated to Adblock Plus version 1.0

if your SSD is only 60 GBs, then you don't have space on which to install Windows. That 27 GBs is space you need to have for adding files you create, music you download, added applications, pictures, etc. You need to maintain at least 10 GBs as free space for OS X, plus you need space for files OS X will create and add to over time.
Your 60 GB SSD is just a minimum usable size for OS X. There isn't sufficient space to also support Windows which requires close to 25 GBs of the 27 GBs you still have free. Sorry, but that just doesn't really work well.

I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.

You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

macjack gave you the easiest solution. Need to have admin privilieges to change this option.

By removing content from the iPad. Transfer content into iTunes, sync the iPad and backup - and then unsync the content from the iPad. That way the content is stored in iTunes, and backed up so you can resync it at a later time if you want to.

And obviously you're able to type alpha outside of entering the redemption code, since you're typing here.
The only other thing I can think of is that maybe they have some 1's that look like l's, and 0's that look like o's. If one of those is actually a starting numeric character and you're typing it as alpha, it might not work.
If that's not the case, then I would restart the computer and try again.
