I am trying to remove xmas songs from iPhone 5..tried deleting them all and then syncing only checked songs..and the xmas songs still come back !!!!!
Short of deleting from itunes store..I can't think what else to do !
I am having the same problem. They just keep coming back. AND I can't seem to delete them from the I Tunes Store.
Could someone please advise?

Ok. So if you didn't know, there are some sites that allow you to download music for free legally. For example many industry artists release "free albums" or "mixtapes" just for their fan base. They are uploaded by the actual artists themselves and downloaded by millions of fans. However when I choose to play one on my iPhone 5c, all of them get deleted except for the iTunes purchased songs. This has never happened before and I would like to know why it is happening now, and how to fix it.

It may be that your iPhone's set to sync automatically, which can potentially remove any music that's been added to the device. It may help to set the device to 'manual mode,' so that you have complete and total control over what content is on the device.

How do I remove a bookmark I no longer want, I've only been able to delete them all and start over?.
I just downloaded Firefox. I have Windows XP home 2002, and Internet Explorer 8. In learning to use bookmarks I ended up with bookmarks I really didn't want. Couldn't find a way to remove just the ones I didn't want so have removed them all twice and just started over.
I tried using the remove or delete button, but it didn't work.All I do is open up the bookmarks, slide to the bookmark, right click, delete. '''Don't '''left click to hightlight the bookmark first... ''Good Luck''

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever. -

How to remove other storage from iPhone 5
I have 3.9G of other storage on my iPhone 5 and deleting messages , call logs etc does not seem to be working. Without restoring every app how can i reduce other storage? I have tried downloading iphone-cleaner but it charges 20 dollars, surely there is a free/ cheaper way!

How can I remove files from my iPod without deleting them from my iTunes library? I do not see a functionailty enabling this i the iPod>

I know you already solved this but for future reference, there is also another setting to only keep songs downloaded to your device visible in music.
Go to Settings --> Music --> Show All Music and make sure it is turned off -
I tried to update my photo albums in my Iphone 4S. I could not, and the old photos were removed. I tried again to copy the albums in the Iphone from a PC Windows XP folder and it does not work.
You can't activate any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone.

Unable to remove music files from iPhone
After Sync with itunes, there are some music files in my iPhone , that are not readable and are in grey color.
I think this happened after an incomplete sync process with itunes.
there is no delete option available for this files.
I tried removing/deleting these files by following options.
Sync by 'manually manage music & videos'
Removed all music files from itunes library and sync.
Clear music data using settings-general-usage-music
Restarted iphone.
None of these worked and these files are still there in my iPhone in grey color.
Please help me to clear these unwanted files.Delete the items directly on the device.
iPhone/iPod touch: In the list type views swipe from right to left over the right hand side of an item (but keep away from the alphabet if it is showing down the edge of the window). A red delete button should appear, tap to remove the track.
iPad: In grid mode holding your finger down on an item for about a second will produce a black & white cross at the top left, touch this to delete.

Forcing program to close, I am deleting a lot of files from my trash but it stopped working about 1/2 way through (1650 files left) so I tried to reboot but it won't let me because a the program is still running which I can't close (stuck at 1650 files to go). So it allowed me to click cancel now it says "stopping" for 3hrs now. Is there anyway to force the MacBook Air (new model) to close as you can't remove the battery?
Press and hold the power button until the Mac turns itself off. This force-shutdown should be done only after you've exhausted other options (you seem to have done so).
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Then press the power button to start up the Mac. It will take a little longer to start up because it will perform additional self-tests on the first boot after a forced shutdown.
Once the bootup is complete, you should be able to delete the trash. Hold down the option key while choosing to empty the trash, which will automatically delete "locked" items. -
